Lol my bf knows I spend a buttload of money on makeup but I don't think he realises just how much - because men have no clue how expensive makeup is! I told him I was pissed an ulta order was taking so long and he asked "what, are you out of makeup? Am I not going to recognise you next time I see you?" He was joking with the second part, he's seen me without makeup before lmao. I started laughing super hard and he was so pleased with himself for his joke that he didn't realise I was laughing because I will NEVER run out of makeup in this lifetime.

Also it's so hilarious seeing confused guys wander into Sephora/Ulta trying to get something for their wives/girlfriends. One poor guy ended up deciding to just get a gift card and then he didn't know how much to put on it so he ended up handing over all the cash he had on him.

I went to SiJCP  to spend the 25 dollar gc the other day, and my boyfriend said as part of my xmas gift he would pay the other 25 dollars, so I grabbed a Benefit blush and a Nars highlight, and he was like..

"honey are u sure u don't  want to get anything else, u need to spend 50 dollars"

My old manager was there and we started laughing so hard, I just kissed his cheek and told him how cute he was hahaha.. 

So my boyfriend knows I spend tons of money on makeup, we live together.. there's no hidding the packages hahahah... but he definitely doesn't know exactly how much xD

I got clueless men asking me for help at Sephora. 

I tried to help but they were like "well I think she's tan like you but maybe not so tan, but maybe darker".. I was like.. mmm let's stay away from trying to get her foundation shall we... do you have a picture of her ?

My dad gets me a lot of gift cards to Sephora since I'm notoriously difficult to shop for and it makes me laugh every time I think about how awkward it must make him feel. I don't know why he doesn't just get those generic visa/whatever gift cards that you can use on anything - chances are I'd use them up at sephora or ulta anyways and he wouldn't have to go brave a women's store in a mall during the holiday season.

I mostly tried to convince them to get gift cards.

If my boyfriend went into sephora to get me a present, it would be a gift card, he said chances are I own everything anyway so he doesn't want to get me a repeat haha

a little OT but perhaps he doesn't get the visa/etc gc's because there is usually a fee to buy them ($3-$7 a pop), while store gc's are free... and if you're going to spend it at sephora anyway...

I hate those visa cards. They require too much talking to the cashier. $50 on this and the rest on this or you end up with some weird amount if you don't spend it all 12.72 on this...

Sephora package day!  (And a BB order, but, eh.)  I received my bday gift -- the MUF set.  (Yay for my Bday coming in Feb and I will redeem on time, lol.)

I rec'd the same gift code for the sale.

Question -- my VIB kit didn't include a card.  Do I get one of those at a physical store?   Or is that just for VIBR?  I'm so confused -- I never remember getting a card when I started w/ Sephora in 2007/08.  I did get the coupon cards -- that's a lot of cardboard holding three little cards.  Sorry Mother Nature.

So..  I rec'd the KVD lightning liner in Poe, a nail polish correcting pen, Caudalie elixir and the Boscia clearance peppermint papers.  My sample of HG Illusion got swapped out for a Daisy sample.  Sadness.  I am swimming in Daisy.

Just got my $50 with $25 gift code order canceled and when I emailed asking why they said just reorder and it won't get canceled and I did, got canceled again. When I kept pressing why I got a generic "you have violated our terms of use" what??? Looks like I won't bother re-rouging this year. So ridiculous.

I think the reasoning is that if you are qualifying online, then you're probably doing most of your shopping online and don't need a physical card, so those don't come in the VIB or Rouge welcome kits in the mail.  Plus it's probably an extra step for them to scan the card to get it linked to your account. But if you ask for it at the store, they should be able to provide you a card.

I never even knew that cards existed until this year. The SA would always just ask me for my name. But some time this Summer I stopped in and the girl working told me she couldn't look me up and I HAD to have a card.
