I would scan ten $0.4 cards if I wanted to-- I did let the cashier scan my $0.67 giftcard in Target one time which was a leftover from a gwp $5 giftcard from Target. I will gladly get over whatever looks they give me than wasting my money. 

Exactly!  Shoot, we either earned/bought for extra bonus card, or were gifted that money, I'm darn sure going to use it!  Sometimes their attitude almost makes me want to buy low dollar gift cards just to make them scan .40 cards, haha.

LOL I've had them look at me weird when they give the card back to me, like 'really? you want it?' Yup I want my 57 cents and I'll use it however I please. Money is money

My mom collects them (don't ask) so she always takes the empty ones back. She's also been known to take gift cards she likes and never even load them, which always feels like stealing to me, but I am not really sure how you would "buy" an empty gift card so... :lol:

Lol not gonna lie, I still have every "pretty" Starbucks gift card I've ever gotten. They're stashed somewhere in my room collecting dust and I wouldn't notice if they went missing, but I couldn't resist keeping them.

Target has some cool interactive ones sometimes. One year they had one that held a boots gloss and one was a lego snowman and one was lightning mcqueen car. I put 5-10 on em and give them as lil stocking stuffers.

guys, if you ever need someplace to spend those pesky visa gift cards, use them to pay utilities. i use mine to pay my phone or cable bill. works every time... you can specify exactly how much to put on what card, so i just make multiple payments until all those rebate or gift cards are used up (usually rebate cards for me). i just pay the bill a little in advance so that all those transactions can go through and i'll still know how much is left that i have to pay.

That's a fraud thing - I know there is always the exception to the rule, but most retailers will require the original card, unless you have proof from the issuer that the account is the same, only the card number has changed.

I used to work at starbucks, many years ago. There are some people who collect the cards. I do remember the Ray Charles one, it was popular.

I have what may be the silliest question. I ordered the Guerlain Meteorites in Clair 2. I received them earlier today. There seems to be a ridiculously small amount in the container. I'm probably the biggest nerd, but I actually counted how many of the little balls were in the container and there were 42. Is this normal? It was less than half full. Since this is my first time ordering these, I have no clue as to how much is actually supposed to be in the container. I know they were reformulated earlier this year and the new packaging has less in it now than it did before. However, is what I got normal? I would really appreciate any feedback! Thank you!

oh I know... I'm not saying that they were wrong in requiring the card. I'm just saying that's why I prefer to pay for things I know I can't return (like utility bills) with those prepaid cards, so I can throw them away when I'm done.

I used to get a big one every Christmas from my boss, and I felt like I should buy myself something nice with it.  But it got to be such a hassle kuz I ended up with so many of those amex gift cards laying around. It got to be too confusing... better to use them up on utilities and then use my own cc's to buy pretty things for myself! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

For some reason I don't get them either, my mom gets them that's how I find out.

I think yesterday I got my first flyer, I think maybe you have to shop in SiJCP and make sure they update your BI information with your address, that's how I got mine to start working.
