Oh no!  I am worried the Sephora order I placed on 12/14 for the UD 10 liner on sale is not going to be included in my order.  I did not get a tracking but logged into my account and there was tracking.

When I clicked on the tracking under weight it states "1 Letter."  In order to get my order to $50 to use a $15 GC I added 2 of the UD liquid liners and a hair tie.  All of which will fit in an envelope.

I am debating if I should order it from UD or Ulta.  I should probably be patient but I worry it will go out of stock!

Does anyone know the phases of discounted holiday sets works in sephora? I'm planning on going to sephora in early January and snapping up some of the value sets if they get super cheap - the sephoras here are so well stocked all the time so I'm sure they'll have plenty left.

I have trouble with people spelling my name if I pronounce it as /dee-ana/ they spell is wrong so when someone needs to spell it I pronounce it as /die-ana/ unless they are Mexican and then my husband is totally shocked that they spell it correctly. He asked someone how she knew how to spell it with that pronunciation and she just stared and said "How else would I spell it?" He was left speechless and I laughed at him and then she laughed. LOL

Yeah my name is Lia and most people will spell it as "Leah" or "Lea" if I say it and they're writing it down, and it's very understandable in that case and I don't mind that at all. But it drives me nuts when they're writing my name AFTER seeing it and get it wrong, or reading it out loud and it turns into "Lie-uh" or "Leia" or "Lisa" or "Lie." I feel like "Lie-uh" and "Lie" wouldn't happen nearly as often if I weren't Asian and people expect an "exotic" name. I was born and raised in Texas, I'm about as exotic as a cowboy boot.

LOL don't even get me started on names, my name is spelled EXACTLY like it sounds and sounds exactly like it's spelled, people still get it wrong. I can understand the last name. Hubby didn't have a way to pronounce his last name until I decided on one lol before that he didn't care. It helps weed out cold callers, lol

I am excited about the Bday gift! Never tried any NARS and my birthday is in January! I was in SiJCP on Monday and someone asked for the Bday gift and they were all out of this year's.

 I hope Ulta has a good birthday gift this year, too! (not sure if they could out-do NARS, though)

I'm a Feb bday, but I had never redeemed for it.  I was able to add it to my cart Sunday, so we'll see which one I get.  I didn't even think to ask tonight at my SiJCP.

I did ask about the UD liners -- guess I was lucky to get one on Sunday Saturday.  They ran out before they closed on Sat.

I found my receipt and they added my points but they were not counted towards Rouge status! I will be $100 away if they add the points. I sent an e-mail back.

I had this happen to me and they added points, but couldn't update the amount I'd spent. They said contact them when I'm close to hitting vib and they would correct it then, but I've hit rouge and then some so I never had to contact them. Weird they can't just amend that....

Thanks.  I will have to see if it is in stock at UD.com.  It says it is supposed to be delivered tomorrow (I highly doubt it, since it is stil in SLC as of now, last time it did this and the actual delivery date was 1 day after the stated date) so I should know soon.

Womp womp so it turns out the SAs forgot to ask to scan my beauty insider card again during the ~adventure I had with my friend earlier so I didn't get any points (or requalify for VIB) smh. I just fb messaged them to see if they can add the purchase and points to my account. Does anyone know if they'll do that or am I just out of luck?

A similar problem happened to my account durring the VIB sale. I didn't realize my boyfriend rang up cologne at a different register and didn't use my card. The guy checking me out was very nice and said he would just do an exchange so we could get the 20% off. Unfortunatly the return of $56 was detucted from my account even though it was never purchased on it in the first place. When I emailed Sephora about it they told me that they could only add points, that they can't change the dollar amount. They would take it into consideration when reviewing my account though <_< . I'm only $200 away from Rouge which I figure I will splurge for, but I'm nervous they'll still screw something up and tell me I need to spend the extra $56.

Ok, after catching up on my reading I see other people got the same cut and paste response. I wouldn't care if I wasn't so close to Rouge (don't know how though) and shouldn't really be spending anymore money on beauty, but will.

My lips are pretty pigmented so usually lighter colours go on patchy, look too close to my skin tone, or both. Maybe it's just all in my head because I'm so used to seeing myself with my lips having a strong contrast against my heavy yellow undertones. I put a pic of my natural lips behind the spoiler

ETA: I just noticed that the swatches of it online are all over the place - some look concealery and some look much pinker. I guess I'll just have to swatch it for myself /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

It is pretty pink, in fact it is about the color of your lips, maybe just slightly lighter.  For what it is worth, I think it'll probably look really pretty and natural on you. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  (It looks good with yellow skin tone too)

You can't go by that on the tracking.  I've had orders with larger items listed as an envelope like your is, and then after a day it updated to a package and correct weight.  Don't freak out yet. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Ahhh, OnTrac shipping?  A lot of times they over night packages from SLC.  I'm in SoCal too, and just had two packages yesterday that came over night (even though they were 3 day ground).  That's the company that listed my order as envelope when it was really a box that I mentioned above as well.

Now I'm doubly happy I'll most likely be able to use both pencils!

I'm excited for the new birthday gift!  I have a deluxe sample of a Nars lip pencil and I like it.  Luckily my birthday is in January.  I was at SiJCP over the weekend and they only had the old birthday gifts.  When I was there the two sales associates working at the register made a huge deal over the amount of points I had.  It was so embarrassing as there was a line of people behind me.  The one girl checking me out explained that I almost have so many points if I wanted to get anything.  Then the other girl behind the register started yelling that she never seen that many points.  Then they were both saying they never seen that many points on one account.  That they most was about 1,000.  Then they were disappointed when I only wanted a 100 point reward because "I could buy everything that they had".  My boyfriend and I laughed as it was kind of funny but I was embarrassed because they are being so crazy about it.  Maybe if there were some better perks I would actually use my points. :blink:  I don't even think I have that many, I'm sure some of you ladies have as much or more than me!

Lmao I would be mortified (but not upset with the SAs at all, I just get freaked out easily in social situations where there's too much attention on me) if that happened to me. I only have about 1200 points so they'll usually try to get me to redeem for a perk and I usually decline saying I'm more of a hoarder. The truth is the number of perks in the past 2 years that have interested me is just dismal. I've only gotten a clinique chubby stick, a flowerbomb mini, and the DL mini. I did want the balenciaga 500 point perk because my grandma would've loved that scarf, but there wasn't anything I wanted to buy online until it was gone and I was too busy to go to a store /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> now that I look back on it I should've gotten a hair tie and paid shipping to get the set, but I also don't feel like I should have to pay shipping when I'm redeeming $500 worth of points.

Yup, this was precisely why I was so embarrassed!  There must have been 4 or 5 people behind me in line and more in the store and SiJCP's are tiny as it is.  I have about 4,700 points.  I picked up the clinique chubby stick too when they had it online recently.  It was a great size!  The color is almost the same as my lips though so that was a bit disappointing but a nice perk.  Yeah, I feel as though the selection is just poor.  I would love to spend my points but I want to use them on something I will actually use/like/enjoy.

Gotta love the holiday crowds at malls... My friend and I went on Monday and we were shocked at how many people were there since it was only noon. Oh you must've gotten a regular chubby stick /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I find that those are all basically just clear balms on me. I'd gladly take them if they were free, but I wouldn't buy or use points for them. The one I got was maybe last year - it was a chubby stick intense and a bright candy red. The chubby stick intenses are like a non-minty, more satin version of the revlon matte balms.

Lol my bf knows I spend a buttload of money on makeup but I don't think he realises just how much - because men have no clue how expensive makeup is! I told him I was pissed an ulta order was taking so long and he asked "what, are you out of makeup? Am I not going to recognise you next time I see you?" He was joking with the second part, he's seen me without makeup before lmao. I started laughing super hard and he was so pleased with himself for his joke that he didn't realise I was laughing because I will NEVER run out of makeup in this lifetime.

Also it's so hilarious seeing confused guys wander into Sephora/Ulta trying to get something for their wives/girlfriends. One poor guy ended up deciding to just get a gift card and then he didn't know how much to put on it so he ended up handing over all the cash he had on him.

The other day I was rambling about some eyeliners I wanted to my husband, and he gave me a confused look, and was like ... do you really need more?  I don't think you can actually ever in a million lifetimes use what you have!  How many of the same colors do you actually need?  I responded ... it's a collectibility thing, not just for use!  It's like ... how many different versions of a comic cover do you need?  The inside is actually the same.  How many different Batman figures do you actually need?  His reply?  Touche, lol.
