@JenTX  I really like the lip balm!  it's buttery and smooth.  The mint scent doesn't last any longer than application.  There's no tingling sensation.  I have terribly dry lips though.  I always have dry/dead skin on my lips and I usually have to be pretty abrasive with scrubs or just deal with it.  Since I've been using this I haven't had any dry skin!  Which is actually pretty good because I'm recovering from bronchitis right now on top of a sinus infection so I've been breathing through my mouth and my lips are so soft.

I now have 6000 points... I'm thinking about getting the 5000 point curated train case. Do you guys think it's worth it, or should I just get the 1000pt set/makeover? OR should I save up for the 10,000 point San Fran trip? What would you guys do?

Meh, for the 5000 point perk, I'd rather have 50 deluxe samples from other brands than 30 Sephora Collection samples + a train case, but that's just me.

I think the 8 samples included with the 1000 point consultation look nice, but don't we get a free 50 min consultation for being Rouge? I'm not sure the 90 minute would be worth it to me (especially knowing the quality of some of Sephora's MUAs...it can be really hit or miss, in my opinion), but it could be to you! I think this is the better option of the two you are considering!

If you are near one of the eligible Bliss spas, I think that one is totally worth it--$200 to spend there and then some other goodies! I'd do it if I had 2000 points!

Save and get one of the cooler 10k ones. I think the 1000 point one is pretty meh.

Yeah, I agree about the train case, and you bring up a REALLY good point about Rouges getting makeovers already anyway. I'm actually REALLY considering getting some of the perfumes I've been putting off buying this week, and after that I won't be far from the 10,000 point perk. (I know it says sold out, but I called CS twice, and both said if I really wanted to join and had the points, I could be put on the list). The trip includes:

Woah, apparently (according to the BT forums), there were a few others that sold out almost instantly--a gorgeoussss Chloe bag for 10,000 points, something Tory Burch, and a Bite Beauty perk that included a customized lip color for you plus three other 3 other full-sized pre-made lipsticks for 1,000 points. I would have been all over that Bite Beauty one if I had seen it!!

Yeah, I was not very impressed with the 1000 point one...I think this would be really dependent on how good your local Spehora is, and I'm not sure if they will be consistent from place to place, or if it would be a bag of more of the same samples from events.

I don't enjoy Sephora's line enough to take a chance on the 5000 train case, and I'm not sure if the brushes included are the Sephora Pro which Sephora brush line, which would really be the thing I would be most likely to use.  

I'm glad they are starting to have more of the big point perks again, though.  I think so many people are saving them up from these events.  I don't know why I even bother with the 4x points events but deals still get me excited.  I wish it was like Ulta where you got $$$ off for rewards.

I think @ is right. 5000 points might be worth it if the train case had a curated set of products from a variety of brands. If I had the points, I'd be more tempted by the "year of beauty" - which looks like 12 of the 500 point items at a "discount" of 1000 points than by the train case or the makeover.

Given the options available, I'd hang on to the points.

I am SO ANGRY I didn't see this before. Where are you guys seeing these? It's so frustrating that unless you know where to look on the internet, you're not going to get the great perks no matter how much you spend. So frustrating!

I might be misreading the fine print, but I think you get the bonus points if you redeem one on an order. You just don't get the bonus points if you buy a gift card or e-cert.

I mean, even by the time it's posted on Sephora's Beauty Board, with only 10 available it would already be gone. So who gets the notification? It feels like they reserve these for friends and family members first and foremost and then let a tiny percentage of the public know (like, less than 1%) because they have to, and eventually one of those people posts it  on Twitter, Instagram or the Beauty Board. There's no way any of us would have seen it on time. Why just 10 for that?? It seems silly. They could have easily done 100.

Yeah, I think this one sold out by the time people got the emails (which is how I found out about these fancy perks). I found the text copied over on Sephora's forum, so somebody there must have seen it. It was at the same link that you originally posted, so I'm guessing some people stumbled on the new point perks before the emails were sent, and got it that way? You'd have to be just constantly refreshing the website to see those though, so maybe people were tipped off or guessed that they would be posted given the timing from last year's high point perks. 

Agreed that it is really annoying they only did 10 on these. This seems like one it would be easy to do more of.

It took a couple of hours after I placed an order today to get the bonus points. They weren't reflected in the total right away.
