It took a couple of hours after I placed an order today to get the bonus points. They weren't reflected in the total right away.

That's weird, they've been showing up on mine within a minute of the order! I'll refresh and go from, say 5525 + $25.00 = 5550 points, and then if I refresh once or twice my points will be 5625.

Guys, I was having such a crappy day to the point where I had dusted off my resume from a couple years ago and was updating it when I see that black Sephora flame through the window by the door. I am now happy, if briefly.  :lol:

I got the Give Me Some Lip kit and used the VIPLIP code, so I'm now swimming in little lip samples, which is my preferred state of relaxation. For me, the winners:

Bite lip pencil in Meritage - this is so freaking flattering. It makes me a little sad I didn't buy the 4-pack of Bite mini crayons before it sold out

MJ lip gloss in Kissability - it looks pretty sparkly in the tube, but the color is great for me, and the formula isn't sticky

UD lipstick in Naked - "nude" lipsticks always look weird/orange on me, but this one is actually very MLBB. The other Revolution lip colors I've received as samples weren't nearly as wearable (69, Anarchy)

MJ lip balm in Makeout - I like the subtle mint

Undecided: 

Buxom lip cream in White Russian - I love the formula of this product, but I'm not sure how this color is going to go. It may be a little on the pale side, or it may work out. I think it will work out.

Fails:

Smashbox lip gloss in Pout - I don't mind a very pale pink gloss, but I wish they had made it less opaque

NARS lip gloss in Orgasm - the formula seems fine, but way way more gold shimmer than I prefer

I haven't tried the foil lip products yet from the GWP, but I love how classy everything is from Givenchy (even the foils). It comes in a little black envelope closed with a little sticker.

Hell, you could spend a week at an all inclusive resort in Cancun for less than that.

Flawed logic -- generally the point perks aren't worth the money you spent to get them. Those little deluxe samples for 100 pt perks are not worth $100, or even $25, most of the time, are they? But I'd say that $2500 for $2500 worth of beauty products AND a trip to SF is a pretty great deal, and that's definitely what I'd save up for! I mean, we all love buying makeup, but if you have 10,000 points you probably already have a lot of products to get through, so why not spend those points on a (beauty-related) great experience?

There is no right or wrong answer, here, imo. It depends solely on what each person finds valuable, and what they are willing to spend their money on. Yeah, I think the Bite perk for 1000 points is way worth it so much more than a trip for SF for 10,000. I'd rather spend the money on the trip and get 10 1,000 point perks that are on that level. The problem is, they RARELY have point perks that great!! And when they do, they only have TEN to give away?? Really? That still just seems absurd to me. There's NO reason they couldn't have at least 100. I mean, they had 10 SF trips to give away, so when you put it in that context, only being able to "afford" (company-wise) setting up the Bite perk for only 10 customers seems so stingy. And again, when there's only ten, it stops being a perk and becomes closer to the lottery in order to find out about it and get it before the hundreds of thousands of other customers. That's bollocks to me!

Travel and beauty are my two conflicting loves, anyway -- I always want to spend my money on both, so this seems like, if I had the money, it would be a great way to do that /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I've never even been to San Francisco! But yeah, I agree with you, it is a little ridiculous when it's a lottery like that, although the OP did say she had called and they said they could add her to the list even if it was sold out. Oh, I didn't realize these perks were only around for the 2x, 3x, and 4x summer points... woopsy. But still, yeah, 2.5k is a lot to spend on makeup in a very short time just to get that trip.... but then, .... it's up to the individual for sure. If you think it's worth it to you, go for it!

I'm not so sure the Bite thing is worth it. It's basically just 4 lipsticks.

Can anyone please recommend a good PM moisturizer? I bought the Perricone Face Finishing Moisturizer on Sunday at the Rouge event and I'm going to return it. It's clogging my pores and making it look like I have a major blackhead problem. It's also making the skin around my nose extra oiling and I've already got a breakout from it after two nights of use. I'm going to return it. I will say it is brightening and might be working on fine lines (like my smile lines) but those benefits are not worth the oiliness and clogged pores. I'm hoping for some recos soon so I can buy on the 4x points. I have combo skin but do get some really rough dry spots so that's why I'd like to use a PM moisturizer. I use a serum and Clarins SPF in the am.
