That's weird, they've been showing up on mine within a minute of the order! I'll refresh and go from, say 5525 + $25.00 = 5550 points, and then if I refresh once or twice my points will be 5625.It took a couple of hours after I placed an order today to get the bonus points. They weren't reflected in the total right away.
But it isn't $10k it's only $2500 /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />You can get your own custom Bite lipstick if you live in NY City:http://bitebeauty.com/blog/bite-lip-lab-opens-in-new-york/ without spending points.
@@ohsailor has a point- for spending $10,000 you could buy a car. Ok, a trip to San Fran isn't going to cost that much. Don't save for that.
I'd go for the year of rewards or the 1000 pt beauty consultation.
still, you can spend a week in SF including RT airfare for two for way under $2500But it isn't $10k it's only $2500 /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Flawed logic -- generally the point perks aren't worth the money you spent to get them. Those little deluxe samples for 100 pt perks are not worth $100, or even $25, most of the time, are they? But I'd say that $2500 for $2500 worth of beauty products AND a trip to SF is a pretty great deal, and that's definitely what I'd save up for! I mean, we all love buying makeup, but if you have 10,000 points you probably already have a lot of products to get through, so why not spend those points on a (beauty-related) great experience?still, you can spend a week in SF including RT airfare for two for way under $2500
Hell, you could spend a week at an all inclusive resort in Cancun for less than that.
Ah ha, but however, to get 10k points for $2500 you'll have to make all of your purchases by August 10th (assuming you haven't already built up a substantial base of points) so that means that $2500 worth of products is all going to be hanging around, going bad together unless you give some of it away. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />Flawed logic -- generally the point perks aren't worth the money you spent to get them. All true! The OP already had 6,000 points, though, so that's only 1,000 worth of product....maybe a little crazy, though /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> The year of perks does seem pretty awesome, too!Ah ha, but however, to get 10k points for $2500 you'll have to make all of your purchases by August 10th (assuming you haven't already built up a substantial base of points) so that means that $2500 worth of products is all going to be hanging around, going bad together unless you give some of it away. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
There is no right or wrong answer, here, imo. It depends solely on what each person finds valuable, and what they are willing to spend their money on. Personally, I'd love the year of perks reward, but I'm not going to spend another $1000 to get it, so it's all relative. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Travel and beauty are my two conflicting loves, anyway -- I always want to spend my money on both, so this seems like, if I had the money, it would be a great way to do that /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I've never even been to San Francisco! But yeah, I agree with you, it is a little ridiculous when it's a lottery like that, although the OP did say she had called and they said they could add her to the list even if it was sold out. So my advice to her remains the same, even though I do agree with the other points /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />Yeah, I think the Bite perk for 1000 points is way worth it so much more than a trip for SF for 10,000. I'd rather spend the money on the trip and get 10 1,000 point perks that are on that level. The problem is, they RARELY have point perks that great!! And when they do, they only have TEN to give away?? Really? That still just seems absurd to me. There's NO reason they couldn't have at least 100. I mean, they had 10 SF trips to give away, so when you put it in that context, only being able to "afford" (company-wise) setting up the Bite perk for only 10 customers seems so stingy. And again, when there's only ten, it stops being a perk and becomes closer to the lottery in order to find out about it and get it before the hundreds of thousands of other customers. That's bollocks to me!
Oh, I didn't realize these perks were only around for the 2x, 3x, and 4x summer points... woopsy. But still, yeah, 2.5k is a lot to spend on makeup in a very short time just to get that trip.... but then, .... it's up to the individual for sure. If you think it's worth it to you, go for it!But it isn't $10k it's only $2500 /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I'm not so sure the Bite thing is worth it. It's basically just 4 lipsticks.Yeah, I think the Bite perk for 1000 points is way worth it so much more than a trip for SF for 10,000. I promotion came out the day after I purchased a punch of things online... I wish I waited and got those bonus points. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />Oh, I didn't realize these perks were only around for the 2x, 3x, and 4x summer points... woopsy. I think i have 4 of those little jars of balm. And I LOVE them...but if I can't decide if I love it enough to purchase with 3 samples then there's a problem with my decision making! LOL! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> If you send me your address...I'll support your NO BUY and send you one of mine. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />I spent plenty yesterday and now I'm tempted with the VIBPARTY code just to get the Algenist eye balm sample... Someone talk me out of it!
