I was planning on placing two orders online but placed one online and ended up going to the mall and buying a few things there instead of a second online order (I needed to go a few other places as well anyway). I'm a vib and ordered the vib lip promo with my online order. In store they gave me the same sample baggie. The marc jacobs lip balm is so cute!

How is that lip balm in terms of performance? Thinking I could find a store with that promo if it's worth it, but don't want to bother if it's not.

I haven't used it yet; I still have lip gloss on.  I'm definitely going to try it out sometime today.  I will let you know how it feels/lasts.  It does have SPF 18 if that is something that interests you.  It also has a minty scent.

I bought an extra ELF flawless concealer brush, and I use it as a fluffy eyeshadow blending brush!

Ahhh I want to buy this! Do you think it would work on different skin tones? I'm like a medium tan tone.

The Becca cream contour product looks deep in the pan, but goes on much more sheer. I think you'd have to apply a lot to get it to show on medium skin. Maybe they will come out with different shades?

Someone help me understand how to use the OCC Lip Tars. I can never get them to "dry," even when I use the clear base. I use just a small dot of both like I'm supposed to. What am I doing wrong?

don't use the base, it's a waste. It's not really a primer, it's more like a lip mask. 

I mix my liptars with anastasia's waterproofing gel. Just a dab and half a drop of liptar, and mix. It makes them more matte and helps them adhere more to my lips.

Just realized at the event today that my store has phased out Guerlain and Givenchy makeup in store. Anyone know if this is an overall thing or just my store? I will be really disappointed if Sephora gets rid of some of the great higher end brands when they've picked up more mid range items from clinique and origins in more recent years. I've been hoping that they would expand into more high end products, I'll be disappointed if they take their business the other way. I prefer to buy high end stuff at Sephora because I can really test everything without pressure to buy a certain amount of one brand like at a counter.

My store has a huge displays for some brands that I don't see a lot of people looking at and that I don't get excited about. I wish they would size down on some of these brands without getting rid of lines all together.

I haven't noticed this at all! If anything, I thought they were carrying more high-end, with adding Marc Jacobs and my Sephora has recently expanded their Givenchy and Dolce & Gabbana displays. I know they recently stopped carrying Illamasqua which bummed me, but that brand is a bit more niche, imo, so it makes more sense. ^_^ /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I would be totally bummed though, if they dropped some of these brands. I am not a huge fan of buying cosmetics from department stores, just because they don't always have the brands I want plus return policies can be more difficult.

I only had a few things on my list to pick up today, but ended up spending just shy of $300!  I certainly felt like I spent that much though, when I logged into Sephora...almost 1800 points!  Here's hoping they offer a primo point perk in the near future!  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I've noticed every post identifying brand specialists at today's event are different...I had Tarte and Bumble & Bumble (there were one or two more but I only visited those two).  Tarte gave mini LCL and LCF mascaras, nothing from Bumble & Bumble - unless you booked a cut and color with the stylist at their salon; that appt was discounted to $85.  No samples.  At check out it was just the tote, black cosmetic bag and the standard (listed) samples.  The samples are recycled point perks or other free samples from the past few months, mostly.  I did think it was interesting that Bumble & Bumble were there - not giving out anything, yet one of my deluxe samples is from Living Proof.    I really had a good time and learned a lot today, and for that alone I'd go to every event I am able to.   If someone can tell me how to post photos I'll share mine...I've tried searching forums for info on how to do it but so far can't find the right way.  Thanks!

Tons of brand reps at my local sephora too: amore pacific (hooray!!!), TooFaced, Bliss, Bare Minerals, Benefit, Thierry Mugler, Anthony Logistics (for the guys that were not sitting at the beauty counter patiently watching movies on their phones waiting for their gfs, lol!), and a few others.
