I thought the same thing with the gold lol!  I took it out and it's white, definitely white.  Sephora is sending me a new set after I sent pics.

I have to return the "defective" set, which is weird to me, what are they gonna sell the lippies I swatched or they're just gonna pay for the return shipping so they can throw them away?  So odd.  I don't want to give back the bite pencil!
If they are sending you the same kit, of course you'll get another Bite pencil, so you won't be without! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'd imagine they need the defective product back, so that they can communicate the issue to Smashbox, or the company that originally curated that set, so that Sephora themselves can get refunded.

If they are paying the return shipping, I don't see what the problem is?

I can understand the problem.... That Bite color is so beautiful and the formula so perfect that once you have your hands on it, you don't want to send it back and have to wait for another.... #firstworldproblems

What is everyone planning to buy at the event on Sunday if you're going.... I need to make my list!

I'll be stopping by for the event since I have something to exchange as well. Not sure what I want to get, but possibly a PTR cleanser and toner since I am running low

At the event I plan to buy:

Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con in The Siren

Marc Jacobs Lip Gel in Have We Met?

But I may substitute a couple of other items, because there are some palettes that I am not sure if my store does/will have in stock at that time. Also have to check out a primer that interests me in person. So, I am really not too sure.

ETA: I also need to get a full size of my favorite REN moisturizer... not nearly as fun as the above, though!

Someone help me understand how to use the OCC Lip Tars. I can never get them to "dry," even when I use the clear base. I use just a small dot of both like I'm supposed to. What am I doing wrong?

Use even a little less than that. I don't always use the clear base but I do get it to dry down each time. Make that dot even smaller and you'll get it!

I'm trying! Thanks for your help.

One more question, guys, I promise: What is your favorite brush for blending eyeshadows, especially at the crease and to blend out eyeshadows into a > shape?

Does the extra points with online purchases start today or tomorrow?  I've searched various sites and seen different answers saying both dates.

According to the fine print on my RSVP email it states:

Qualified VIB Rouge will earn quadruple points, VIBs will earn triple points and Beauty Insiders will earn double points on merchandise purchases made Sunday, August 3, 2014 thru Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 11:59pm PDT. This offer is subject to termination by Sephora in its discretion at any time. Bonus points will be automatically credited to your BI Accounts the same day of purchase.

Just left the event. Personally, I think the last event was better. Yes, I still spent a lot stacking up on stuff, but in terms of actual fun of the event I preferred the last one. This will vary store by store but last time there were about three reps from makeup companies in my store. This time there was only skincare reps. While I love skincare and was happy to get some extra skincare samples from them, I wish I could have gotten a free makeover like last time. Last time Hourglass was there and I left looking beautiful. This time I left looking the same as I can in, just with a lot of goodies in hand. Samples wise, I think I got the same amount of samples as the last event.

On the bright side, I finally got a rouge card! Personally for me this wasn't really worth getting up early for. I can get the 4x points online and it's not that many samples to really make it worth it. Oh, I also got a free muffin so there's that :)

For those wondering, here's a look at everything I got free today. I spent over $300 so I kind of wish there were more freebies with this. Might check brand sites before I use everything I bought to see if there are better GWPs with anything.

The Rouge event at my store was a lot of fun - there were reps from Dior, MUFE and Stila plus all of my favorite cast members were working. They're so sweet. They loaded me up on samples, too. I got the reusable tote, the Rouge make-up bag, plus one of the TSA travel bags with lip samples, and a bunch of additional samples from Dior, Kate Somerville and Marc Jacobs. I passed on the baked goods but got a banana, water bottle and coffee, sooo yay for healthy breakfasts!

The most exciting purchase I ended up making was the Sephora Z-Palette, whoo hoo, LOL. But I did get some other goodies that I've been eying online, and anytime I can avoid making an online purchase I'm happy. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I was planning on placing two orders online but placed one online and ended up going to the mall and buying a few things there instead of a second online order (I needed to go a few other places as well anyway). I'm a vib and ordered the vib lip promo with my online order. In store they gave me the same sample baggie. The marc jacobs lip balm is so cute!

So jealous! What did you get from Dior and MJ?
