Mario sent me the sample email today as well! I was kind of hoping I'd get the strawberry face scrub, I got the drying cream which is the number one item I've wanted to try for my face forever. If anyone knows of any good acne creams please let me know. I seem to be getting little bumps all over my cheek bones and chin. Totally random but I figured this was a good thread for it!

I got my Mario email too. I'm very confused because they listed all these acne products. I don't have acne at all. I'm almost 30 and I have dry/combo skin...? Not sure what went wrong there.

I use Resist 9 from Paula's Choice. It's 9% salicylic acid on a slow release. Works well on my stubborn spots.

My sample email had:

Buffering Lotion

Healing Cream

Special Cucumber Lotion

Ceramide Herbal Eye Cream

Healing & Soothing Mask

I am in love with the dermorganic face wash! It got rid of my dry patches and the little acne bumps on my forehead and made it look so smooth! I've been using it for about 3 days now, it's great!

That's great that your getting those samples, especially the last two!  Mario Badescu's Drying cream is legendary.  I'm not a fan of Mario Badescu for the most part, but there are 3 Mario Badescu products I can't live without and have on hand at all times - The facial spray with aloe, rosewater and herbs is amazing and smells fantastic! It feels refreshing and I especially love it in the warmer months.  It's only 7.00 for a good size bottle.  I also adore their Carnation oil eye makeup remover.  Its also 7.00. . The ingredients are just carnation oil, sesame oil and floral extract.  It's made to remove eye makeup but because its so pure and simple, and carnation oil is so good for skin, I use it for a lot of different things - I use it on my cuticles, I rub a little into any dry patches I might get, and sometimes just put it on my face as a treatment.  I love it!  The 3rd thing is Mario Badescu's cleansing milk with carnation and rice oils.  It says to tissue off, but I remove it with a hot wet face cloth and it leaves my skin soft, smooth and glowing, and and it removes every last trace of makeup.  When I use my toner after this, my cotton pad looks clean after I swipe my face.  The cleanser is 10.00.  Once my bottles of any of these 3 products are half empty, I order more so I don't run out.  I also like that I get 2 choose 3 samples when I order.  I usually get samples of the rose hips mask which is good for about 3 uses, and one of the serums, and a night cream.  Edit: I have been wondering about the Azulene Calming Mask.  Can you let us know what you think of it after you get it and give it a try?
Over the weekend, I read something in print (I don't remember where it was, just that it wasn't online - I was physically holding the paper) that said that the drying cream was fantastic. I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I hope it's not TOO drying - my ski has been pretty dry lately. Would you (or anyone, really) be able to explain why everyone seems to love rose water? I don't really get the hype. I'll definitely update with my thoughts on the products after trying them a couple times.

Today's mail included: L'Occitane samples (repairing conditioner, precious cream, and divine cream) and Jurlique (two little tubs of Citrus Hand cream and two little tubs of Jasmine Hand Cream. Hey smell really good!) And the Rachel Ray magazine...I got a free subscription from somewhere a while back.

It's almost like a clay cream or something.. I only put it on bumpy/congested area at night -chin and sometimes my forehead- and in the morning they are usually gone. My sample firmed and kind of dried up after a bit (i still smeared on almost every last bit haha) but my full size that i got in Dec is still soft and spreadable, I feel like it will last forever.

Wow! That's pretty fast! I kind of hope it will replace my PTR spot treatment. The Mario Badescu drying cream is significantly less expensive - I could buy 3 of the Mario Badescu drying creams for thrice of 1 PTR spot treatment. The PTR stuff works for me though, so I don't mind spending so much more.

I just have to share this ... I'm not going to mention the name of the company because I don't think that would be "right" .. but I was looking through a magazine and there was a fragrance item mentioned in an article so I emailed the company asking if there was a sample of it because I had never heard of it and was interested in trying (and the bottle looked so pretty!).  The guy emailed back and said that unfortunately there were no samples but he was sending me a deluxe votive sampler (candles) so I could experience the scents.  I was absolutely amazed!!  I received the sampler yesterday .. it was sooo nice and the crazy thing is that the set retails for close to $50 on the website.  Wow!!!!

I feel like I should clarify its on bumps that want to turn into blemishes, not an actual blemish. But still! I am in love. I recently tried the evologie that was sampled through birchbox (I bought a trial kit from their website where you pay shipping) and the serum has been awesome at actual blemishes. Hopefully the drying cream will reduce your need for a spot treatment. I can't, for the life of me, stop touching my chin ugh. The drying cream has greatly reduced breakouts and I haven't had cystic acne in like six months. I used to get one or two each month on my chin.

Unfortunately Per-Fekt only sells the samples but the prize is so low, I might order them on Friday. The packages are really adorable and the service was super nice! Jurlique said no samples.

These are the Jouer samples I got. I was told I was supposed to receive the lip enhancer as well, but didn't. I'm not too worried about it though because I don't really need it. The four packets of luminizing tint are all different colors, even though the girl I was speaking with asked me to choose a shade.

My per-fekt samples! Absolutely love the packaging! I got the lash perfection gel, the brow perfection gel, skin perfection gel, and lip perfection gel. Can't wait to try them!

I also e-mailed Juice Beauty and Jurlique. Both said they'll be sending me some samples!

How do you purchase the samples from per-fekt? I don't see them on their website.

Hahah so Kashina Giving Beauty is definitely not giving away samles right now (or maybe I do not know the magic word). I was seriously interested in trying the argan oil because my hair is a mess. They ten asked where I live so i sent the address. This is the reply:

We don't have a retailer in St. Louis, unfortunately, but we can send you a sample if you pay $12 for shipping and handling.  Please provide us with your credit card information and full address if you are interested.   Thanks.     Uuuuhm... let me think... no! I rather go somewhere and buy argan oil for $20 instead of a $12 sample where I do not even know what size it is.

You call them and ask to purchase samples for $1.50 I think it is. I wil never give my CC info written through e-mail. It is not listed on their website but their customer service is super sweet!

Rosewater has been used in cosmetics and skincare just about since people began making skincare and cosmetics.  A lot of people just like the scent, but it also has anti-inflammatory properties and is calming to skin and moisturizing to some extent.  Rosewater actually has some of the oils and waxes from roses in it, even though you cant see it.  Rose hips (the part of the plant where the petals grow off of) is high in vitamin C and is used in skincare products and vitamins, so I'm guessing that rosewater most likely has some natural vitamin C, but I don't know that for sure.  I notice a little difference in my skin when I use the Mario Badescu spray, but I don't know how much of that is from the aloe and other ingredients. It feels good on my skin and I love the scent!  I even spray it in my hair sometimes for the scent.  A lot of Middle Eastern cuisines use rosewater when making deserts too.

Sephora has Color Couture oil that I think is Argon oil for 12.00 on their website.  Its a fairly decent sise bottle.  I had a bottle and lasted me quite a while because you only use a little bit at a time.
