At least jouer responded to you even if it was a no! I sent 3 emails asking about different items and never received a response. I ended up just buying from the BB store since they offer free return shipping if I didn't like it. I know each company doesn't have to send out samples an it can get quite expensive if they choose to do so - but I appreciate a response even if it is a no. Consistent CS wins really big points with me and jouer is one company I won't be buying from directly.

When I emailed Jouer, I didn't hear back from them at all - a small package just showed up in my mailbox about two weeks later. (I included my address in my email.)

I guess it's true I could just order it from BB, and they do have awesome customer service; I still hate the possibility of having to waste a big tube though, because finding a good color match is near impossible for me!  Just goes to show how important samples are, though.  I can be picky about products, but I'm willing to shell out a fair amount of money when I find the right one.

SAME.  I appreciate why companies might not want to send samples out, at least to everyone, but I will also pay whatever the product I think is the best costs when I find it.  However, now that I'm in my late 20's I'm not experimenting with 'crap' anymore so most of the products I'd like to try are too expensive to just shell out the $$$ for when I am not sure if they will work for me.  Therefore, the only real way for a company to get my business at this point is for me to try a sample.  I know some people are just 'sample whores' and ask for samples with no intention ever to buy but that is not me or a bunch o other people and I wish more companies could see that.

 
I'm starting this as a project I've never really had a skin or hair care regiment so I'm open to trying anything and every thing and seeing what i like best :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  Been sending emails for 2 days I have about 20 out so far and have already heard 2 yeses :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'll post my list of yeses and no once I get a few more.

I got the same exact samples from them. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I had told them I was interested in the restore line and they sent the whole set. I'm still using the mask sample and I've had it for a few weeks now (but I also have shorter hair sooo). 

 
I found out about DermOrganic through this thread, so I emailed them and really soon after, I got my samples. I'm so glad I found this! I absolutely love their face cleanser! I'm definitely going to need to stalk through these 33 pages to check everything else out!

I went to NYC Sheckys event. Tix were on sale for $12. I went after work, the vendors sucked. ALL jewelry blah. 2 makeup companies and one was Mary Kay -_- /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> anyway you get this awesome goodie bag..did anyone know Salma Hayek came out with a beauty line? Yup I knew about Hayek's line.  It's exclusively at CVS. I haven't tried any of her products though.

The body cream is really nice...thick and moisturizing. It's the only thing that I have tried though.
 
I found this thread yesterday and I have been on an emailing spree! I only sent out about 13-15 last night but I have gotten 4 yes responses and no "no"'s so far.....

Whish sent me some shave cream, sugar scrub, and body butter last night.  The body butter smells yum but is REALLY light.

Finally tried my living proof samples today.  I do not love the smell but I honestly already see good effects.  at a minimum, my hair (which is LOOOOOONG and always a tangled mess) is not tangled at ALL after using their mask along with their shampoo and conditioner so that is a small victory, but I also think my hair looks a little shinier/happier.
