What companies have you gotten samples from?

Ok more things I have gotten:

Hair products from Oscar Blandi (they were generous) and Aubrey (they were also generous.

A 'Discovery Kit' from actifirm.  It has 5 good sized samples and is packaged amazingly.

8 small samples from supergoop- 6 sunscreen and 2 'save face' SPF moisturizer for face.

4 small body cream samples from 100% pure and an eye cream from them.

3 small samples from Osmotics.

4 small samples from NIA 24.

I have gotten these in less than one week from beginning writing emails. I would say I think this is definitely a worthwhile thing to do.  Also, some send samples without replying to the email (thanks Oscar Blandi) so I think the potential success rate is actually even higher than I thought.

I am not sure... I contacted probably 50 companies last weekend... but I do know it's not in my email outbox so it must have  been on their site somewhere and the form does look vaguely familiar.  There are another one who did not tell me they were sending, they just sent.

Spiritbeautylounge.com has a sample program where you pick 10 samples from their website and pay a fixed amount. I think it's either $20 or $25. Not sure.

The problem with that is that the companies are so inconsistent. Some companies will say yes, and the next person to ask them they will get a no.

Got 2 more today! Juice Beauty sent me 3 small samples, and MAKE sent me a full sized, gorgeous blue eyeshadow.  I am over the moon about this one, totally can't believe it.

I emailed them and I guess totally lucked out.  The guy I got said they don't send samples but he was at SWFX in TX and would scrounge something up there to send me.  That was a hugely personal email I sent them too which probably helped. I emailed [email protected] and got an email back from [email protected].  I don't have any more info than that.  The guy who helped me was named Bill but I have no personal email address for him just the two I list above.  I am VERY excited to have gotten this one because MAKE is something I have been interested in trying and potentially buying for a while now.

Agreed. A list is pretty hard to do when sometimes they say no and sometimes they say yes! I did go through all 30+pages when I found this thread. It was helpful to see that companies aren't consistent and to see what people wrote.

I'm so jealous of anyone who got a yes from Jouer - I really wanted to try the MMT since I missed out on it from Birchbox, but they told me no, and that I should just buy it and send it back if I don't like it (also sent me a link to a list of stores that sell it, and of course none are near me).  I know I'm not entitled to samples, but I don't want to eat the cost of return shipping and waste an entire tube of something if it doesn't work for me... Sad, I really wanted to try it.
