I've heard a lot of people talking about opening multiple Sephora accounts using different emails to get to VIB on multiple accounts.  That way, you would get several of the VIB rewards offer codes in December.  I think if they want to keep customers in the Rouge program instead of the multiple VIB accounts, they will have to make the Rouge Only perks worth our while, which they haven't really been so far.  I think having a sliding scale where Rouge customers get additional points or discounts makes perfect sense, but that doesn't mean its going to happen

I heard on another forum about a Rouge event to kick off chic week. They said it seems like a private shopping event on March 30th. That person called a Toronto store and they confirmed the following: - Rouge gets a goodie bag - Can bring an extra guest who doesn't have to be VIB/BI - Will receive 15% off for Chic Week - 2 days in advance, and 1 day in advance for VIB - Limited space; need to reserve via the online system

She just said "I called my local store in Toronto," so I'm not sure, but I will ask her! I would love to know which NYC area stores will be hosting these!

She doesn't have all the details (on how many stores with have this) but it's he said it seems most Sephoras will be participating. Toronto locations she confirmed: Yorkdale, Bloor, Eaton.

No problem. If anyone hears about NY area locations, please let me know! I might try to call the rouge line this week if I ever get some free time. I'm mostly just concerned about the whole RSVP thing - want to make sure I don't miss it!

I seem to remember that every Sephora had a preview of Chic Week for VIBs last year.  You didn't have to RSVP or call, just show your VIB card and you got the early access.

This was before they introduced Rouge, so maybe they are doing something different and more special this year.  I suppose we can hope.

Did the VIBs get a special goodie bag? Also - from what I have heard this is more of a private shopping event, so maybe it will make it easier to maneuver the store and such. My experience with VIB events is that they can be pretty packed with extremely long lines, so maybe this will make the shopping experience extra special and just all around better for Rouges - or maybe it's just wishful thinking!

There was a goodie bag, but I think it was just the regular one they were giving out to all BIs.  Since this was before Rouge started, there wasn't any special differentiation.

I usually don't shop at Sephora in-person, so I just headed over to the one by my work at lunchtime.  I know I didn't have to make any sort of special reservation -- it was on a Thursday or Friday and there wasn't really anyone else in the store.  Maybe their experience over the last year has changed and they realized they need to limit access.  Or maybe the shops in Canada are doing something different?  Guess we'll find out soon.  There are a couple of MUTers who are Sephora SAs who post occassionally -- maybe one of them will pop in and let us know ... if she's allowed.

I'm pretty sure all of the nyc ones are doing this event. The 86th & Lexington one is confirmed. My guess is that the only difference is which brand reps are going to be where.

Does anyone read Beauty Talk? Supposedly there's a live-chat coming up with Sephora HQ to give feedback on the rouge program....I think I"m going to try to attend, it's in the middle of the day on a Tuesday, but luckily I have Tuesdays off for now!

I also recently became rouge and it took FOREVER for my status to show up. So annoying!

Also - they should make the lipstick they send out be a color that is more universal. Red is not universally liked as much as a more neutral color. It's a waste of space in the makeup drawer for me because, as my husband said, it literally made me look like a clown.

 Im never going to use mine either, but I swatched it so I feel weird about trading it. I'll probably just toss it eventually, no idea why I'm keeping it.

Supposedly there's a new rouge gift for people that hit it this year, but it won't be avaliable until April.
