I would definitely be careful. I was just reading all of the fine print for VIB Rouge and Flash Shipping and both say they can be terminated by Sephora at any time for any reason and in the case of Flash Shipping, no refund.

They will eventually find out  ( maybe not they don't seem to bright)  Then they could block you from ever buying from them. If you want to risk that its up to you. I have much makeup from beauty boxes that I don't use and I put it every 3 months in a bag and take it to a womans shelter.

Thanks!  I truely appreciate you taking time out to say this.  I'm proud to say this is day 3 of my no $1 purchase initiative!  Yeah for me!!

I'll do the women shelter thing too with some of my products good idea.

I need an intervention!!!  I've placed at least a dozen $1 orders since the Kat Von D came out, not for myself or to sell on eBay but I've been putting these beauty kits to go to our troops in AFG, because I have like 5 subs and a private stock of shadows and blush that I'll never get through.  I can't wear shadow and the one blush I purchased while traveling in Asia 2 years ago is barely touched.

I ran out of Ipsy bags and low and behold the Kat Von D came along!

I don't feel aweful for doing it, but I keep getting these powerful strong urges to order more $1 nail polishes (also being sent to AFG) but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot and get flaged by Sephora.  I need support in not placing anymore $1 orders, because it's so easy to rationalize away!

I'm turnig myself in to the Sephora online low buy abuse task force...
I dont think you can send nail polish to the troops flammable items are on the restricted list.

You are right that flammables are on the restricted list, but nail polish is fine, as is alchocol based anti-bacterial gels and other specific consumer products.   I don't know what the cut off line is in size or concentration but it's not a clear cut line.

I do appreciate you pointing it out and I tripled checked with many sources, including an officer that was in Iraq.

Thank you :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />...

Technically nail polish is only allowed to be ground shipped.  It can explode at the high altitudes when in flight.

My sources: 1) I work for the Post Office and know the regulations and 2) nail polish  is front and center on most of the posters for the restricted list.

Thanks!

Does anyone know how I can designatea a prioity box going to AFG to go by ground (I'd imagine via ocean as well to cross the waters) then?  I know that they've received small quantities of nail polish from researched news articles online.

Calling VIB-ROUGE in New York!

I'm on this list and was calling to cancel 'cause I've got a jazz luncheon back-to-back on the other end of Manhattan and it might just feel too not relaxing to do a ride from the tip of Manhattan to the other end on a Sunday... I wanted to give up my spot to give another Rouge member the chance to go.

The VIB-R CS told me that the list hasn't been filled yet!  So if YOU are up for being there between 9:30 and 11:30 this Sunday, give them a call!  This is at the Lexington and 86th Street location.

If you register, let me know?  I might be crazy enough to get up early for this and would be fun to meet a fellow MUT member!

I am so jealous. Sounds so fun!! I guess I need to move to a more fun city.

I guess the extra sample with an order for VIB Rouge members is a thing of the past now.  This is either the 3rd or 4th consecutive order that hasn't had an extra sample.

I'm also kinda bummed that they misspelled "lightning" (assuming they were continuing the weather theme - they had another nail polish called 'thunder') in the latest VIB Rouge mailer about the new nail polish.

I got a fourth sample for the first time in my order today. It was Clean perfume vial. I guess it's kind of arbitrary? Idk.

I sometimes get an extra sample, but sometimes I don't. I will say this: I placed a $3 order because they had 2 samples I wanted to try. One was the Cherry Escada perfume and the other was supposed to be a dual set of Benefit moisturizer along with Porefessional. Both Benefit samples were shown in a cardboard vial (I guess is the best way to describe it) with a tear off top. So, 2 for 1 sample with a decent amount of each. Sadly, what I received was a postcard with not enough Porefessional to really try and no moisturizer at all. I was sad. But then, I saw they had tossed in not one extra sample but 4. I got 4 perfume vials along with the Porefessional and the 2 other samples I had ordered. And this was with a $3 + tax order. I was very impressed by this. It was a small thing, but it did make me feel like I got the Rouge touch that time. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

ever since being VIB I always get an extra sample or two. its a nice gesture, but they are never really that exciting, generally a perfume they are promoting at the moment.

I haven't gotten any extra samples in any of my VIBR packages.

Same here. The only perk I've gotten is the free shipping. I don't even get an extra sample in my orders. Unless you count the card advertising the nail polish or card with a small square of fragrance on it. Kind of disappointing thus far. Hopefully they do something soon.

They're sciencey themed! But yeah, Lightening?

I too am really counting on a good Christmas 'gift' from Sephora. That would be on top of any discounts they offer for BIs/VIBs. If they are smart, they will put together gift kits and send them out as a surprise, using up stuff they want to get off their hands so it doesn't count as inventory, along with sample sized items. I really just want a surprise (where ALL Rouge members get the surprise) along with the tip of the hat to the new Rouge level. I agree. They need to do something that will reach all Rouge members before the end of the year (even those in out of the way places that never get to attend events or maybe even go into a physical store) or the whole program will be a bust. And...all letting me know I'm Rouge would have done in retrospect would be to encourage me to spend *less* money in 2014 because I spent way, way, way too much this year.

Perhaps I'm just super jaded, but I think that's counting on too much. I could see them offering special deals, additional discounts, and extra samples, but I doubt they'd send Christmas kits. On that note, I know I wouldn't be that thrilled with leftover items that they're trying to get rid of being sent as a gift.
