Also you should get emails from JCPenney that are for Sephora too. That's SiJCP I mean.

It probably also helps that it's a sale item they're trying to get rid of lol, sephora would be ~smart like that.Color me impressed with CS, I emailed them about my Smoked palette being damaged and they are sending me a new one. I figured I'd need to send photos and return the old palette, which would have kept me from doing it, I hate the post and instore returns.
I have never had a problem with a item being damaged so maybe that's why.
I made a total of 3 returns without receipt in 2014. Price range from $24 to $90, from 1 item to 3 items.@@Jaly Would you mind giving a general figure of how much your returns w/o receipts totaled for them to flag you? I'm paranoid about getting flagged for this even though I probably only return stuff without a receipt once or twice a year.
I can still make return; as long as it accompany a receipt/packing slip. If they never ask for ur driver's license then you are not in their return without receipt system.Random returns question...
When I return to the store (for online orders), I always have my order summary on my phone still, and the invoice pack slip sent with the order.
Sometimes I return it back to my card, and sometimes I just like store credit to spend on something else (usually that same day).
I noticed a couple months ago when I made a return like that, and just got store credit, but had all my order papers/invoices etc, they showed on the receipt it was a "return without receipt"..
Does that mean they're processing all my returns as if I didn't have any proof of sale/receipts? Or is that just how it shows when you get store credit period?
I've made a lot of returns over the last year/two years.. but I spend thousands more than I've ever returned, so I never worried about it. All this talk about returns without receipt getting people banned (when really that was not a lot of returns above!)...gets me worried..
So at the SiJCP that I go to, here is how friendly I am with the staff:So, in summary, I barely even had to ask for the freebie. It was pretty awesome.
USPS has been advertising that they will pick up from your house. Something like, "we're in the neighborhood anyway, why not have us pick it up?" Maybe that will help if you can send it USPS.They sent me another email asking me to return the damaged one... Ugh that means a trip to the post /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Umm.. so I went in armed w/ the pdf for the UD perk and my SiJCP was out. But, I, umm.... got the skin sampler bag instead. No mailer, but..... I think there's another perk out there. Either that or the two SAs disagreed on what I should be able to get.So at the SiJCP that I go to, here is how friendly I am with the staff:
We sing and dance together
We do my makeup over and over sometimes just for fun when they are slow
They are always trying to make me samples to take home of whatever I want or they think I want
we have "our songs"
I took them all Christmas presents
They hug me and squeal when they see me
They tell me they miss me when they don't see me regularly
They let me help customers and recommend products when we are all chatting and totally let me
and I do not get a damn thing without the barcode mailer, even if I tell them I have it but forgot it! LOLOLOL!!! And they know I have it because it is rare that I forget it!!
Have we all figured out yet that there are rules, but it is a total crap shoot which rules will be followed on any given day?? HAHAHAHA!!
I want to know what's in the mailer. like now. lol. (I should go check the mail pile sitting in my car.)@ I think the skincare sample bag must not have been out when I was there because those promos they always tell me about it is the ones on the actual mailers that I can't get without showing the mailer. Unless there is a mailer in my mailbox waiting for me...but I was just there yesterday...I'll have to stop in and check it out! Plus, they might have replenished the Algenist genius cream for the 5 skin care bag package and, well, can't have enough GENIUS CREAM! :w00t:
target policy is actually a dollar amount, and on a rolling time period. i think the limit is $75 per 365 days, but i'm not 100% sure (i almost never do returns without receipt there since they can look up my transactions with my card, but i do return things often and when i'm waiting i read the policy which is printed in huge writing on the wall  ).I don't know about Sephora's policies but flagging no receipt returns is fairly common practice amongst retailers - since they take your identifying information it is easy to refuse you if you go over the limit.
Target, as a random example, only allows two no-receipt returns in a 12-month period. I've never pushed it so I can only imagine what a pain that would be to get flagged in their system.
I guess Sephora is set up the same way, but they should at least mention it in their printed return policy (unless they do and I've never noticed).
that was kind of my impression as well. i remember reading the back of the receipt at some point and not really finding a time limit for in store returns.I was always under the impression that online returns needed to be returned within 60 days but in store purchases could be returned whenever. I don't know if it has changed but I thought that store receipts say something along the lines of if you're unsatisfied you may return at any time.
UGH the way these people talk to me sometimes makes my blood boil and it's why I only order online and do returns in mail, IDC if it takes longer!@@normajean2008 when I was packing up a bunch of my makeup recently for my move (which is STILL in progress...DAMN heavy items that I need help to move but don't have help to move!!!) and returned like $600 over two trips in products because I didn't use/like/tolerate/fill-in-the-blank them. Keep in mind these would be purchases anywhere from May to November 2014 (the only time I've ever bought makeup) and most of that was return without receipt because I did it at a SiJCP. I had my receipts for all of it. ALL OF IT. But the lady was just whizzing through the returns chatting with me, etc. I didn't realize she was doing no receipt until we were done and she handed me a big JCP store merchandise card.
That being said...I'm not banned. And I've returned a lot before then too. Like you...I've spent a lot too, and I even had one snarky sales lady tell me 'you might lose your Rouge status with this return' to which I said 'have you seen my ENTIRE purchase history?' and this was before that was a thing, so of course she couldn't (at least I don't think so) but she got my message. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I had another snarky lady tell me that she was going to do no reciept and that I would probably be banned for returning things, and I told her I would take my chances. I really don't like it when the employees take my returns personally. They just need to get over themselves.
Back to my point in my other post tonight...I think it is really on a case by case basis, or what mood the person is in, or what way the wind is blowing that day! If there was a hard and fast rule, I would have been banned a long time ago.
Same, I hate it when people snark me when I've done NOTHING to warrant it. I don't give a crap how bad of a day you're having, you work in a position that requires customer interaction and you need to shut your mouth unless you're being respectful (unless you're dealing with a really unreasonable customer).UGH the way these people talk to me sometimes makes my blood boil and it's why I only order online and do returns in mail, IDC if it takes longer!
I agree about customer service. I know everyone can have terrible days, but if it's your job to deal with customers, and the customer is being reasonable, I see no reason to let the snark slip out and it really hurts sales so that should really be discussed frequently in team meetings.Same, I hate it when people snark me when I've done NOTHING to warrant it. this summer I flew from Houston to Toronto where I had 50 minutes to make a connection to Montreal. I had NO IDEA I only had 50 min when I booked the trip because the flights were automatically paired together and I had never taken a flight with connections by myself before. I stupidly only looked at the departure time and final arrival time. I had to go through customs and security in that time too so I was REALLY stressed out. Of course the flight was super booked and the gate agent tried to take my adequately sized carry on to gate check it. I told her I had less than an hour to make my connection so I'd prefer to keep it with me, and she pulled a mean face and said "well, why'd you do that? That was stupid." OH, IDK. WHY did YOUR system pair those flights together??
Hahahah that story is hilarious! Jeez! I guess they are super serious about those rules. I'll keep that in mind!So at the SiJCP that I go to, here is how friendly I am with the staff:

Yeah, actually.... once with a sephora return I just put the item back in the sephora box and put the return label on that, taped it up, and put it in my mailbox with the flag up (we have a large mailbox) and it got picked up and the return went fine. But you can go to USPS.com and schedule a free pickup and it lets you choose where they pick it up- front door, side door, garage door, etc.USPS has been advertising that they will pick up from your house. Something like, "we're in the neighborhood anyway, why not have us pick it up?" Maybe that will help if you can send it USPS.

I got the one w/ --

Bad news. I spent money. And my points have not been posted yet. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
ETA: items in sampler and a clarification
Some of the points posted, but they're not correct. AND I'm really ticked b/c I got 'charged' 100 points for something. GRRRR! I did NOT redeem for anything! And if you tell me that sampler baggie w/ foils is worth 100 points I'm going to take it RIGHT back.Sometimes that happens to me where I buy something at SiJCP and the points don't post. Sometimes it's a case of just taking a little longer, and sometimes I have to call Sephora with my receipt to get the points added.
