My UD smoked palette came today and although the outer box was fine the palette is smushed. The interior mirror is askew and the cardboard around the liner is loose and smashed. All the shadows are fine, but something about it irks me... I did only pay $14+ after mr rebates, but I almost feel like I won't use it as much because of this. I'd just depot but I'm a super klutz who will more then likely ruin it.

That stinks! You got it on sale but that doesn't mean trashed. Can you get a replacement?

I bought the SiJCP $29 skin care kit yesterday. Then I saw that 2x skin care points started today. Think they'll add the extra points for me if I ask them to?

Ugh that's horrible /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I want to depot my UD black palette really badly because the edges of the cardboard are starting to fray since I've used it daily for the past 2-3 years. Buttttt I'm also afraid to try to depot it. I googled around and it looks like UD palettes are magnetic but are also glued down, ugh. There's one shadow in my palette that's got micro cracks and a missing chunk since I've dropped it several times, and I just know it'll shatter if I try to depot it.

Can you just cut it free of the cardboard surround & then soak the glue off the bottom with goo gone? I've done that before with other palettes (sometimes even plastic inserts if they're thin enough) and it's worked fine.

Ooh that's a good idea! I may give it a try with my shiny new knife (I'm so southern it hurts) but I'm thinking about buying a cheap elf palette or something similar to try my hand on first just to be super sure. My biggest problem is that I have the patience of a hungry toddler :lol:

I had a heart attack when I read about the Algenist because at first I thought it was the full size eye cream, which is $72 and totally awesome, but then I realized it was just the face cream. *cries*

I found a picture online:



I won't be getting this due to my no-buy, but if I wasn't on a no-buy I'd probably pick up the Algenist, FAB, Ole Henriksen, GlamGlow and Boscia spongue.

I'm kind of relieved to know that I'm not that tempted with this so I don't have to break my no-buy! PHEW! Crisis averted!

In other news.... wow, my local SiJCP has the most untrained employee I've ever spoken to. I just called to see if they had this up yet, and I said, "The Sephora Favorites Customized Skincare set of 5 for $29" but she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about by pausing, then saying, "Umm, no." And that's it. So I said, "Do you know if or when you'll be getting it?" "No." So then I asked if she could tell me what point perks they had, and she just said, "For the 500 points, we have a nail set. For the 100- a pink gloss, a moisturizer, and a nail polish". Ok... that doesn't tell me anything, so I asked what the nail polish was, and she acted like I was really inconveniencing her, and said, "It's a pink one." And I said, "Ok, what brand is it?" And she finally told me it was Formula X. How freaking hard is it to just say the right products in the first place? I was hoping they had the Bite lip pencil in Pomegranate, but I don't know for sure if they do now because she seemed clueless as frick. Sorry, but come on, at least get your employees to know the product brand names.

I'm going to go pick up some moisturizer samples tomorrow to test out before buying and buy during the points promos. I'm looking for something for night so no SPF needed. I've been loving Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream for Normal to Combination Skin, but it is heavily fragranced and that kind of bothers my allergies. So, I'm looking for something similar but less fragrance. I love what it does to my skin but hate waking up all stuffy feeling in my nose from the scent. It makes it hard to fall asleep too.

Or I like the Ole Henrickson Nurture Me but I feel like it's not as antiaging and it does have a fragrance. But I like it mmmm lol

That's the one I am after. I have so many moisturizers to use up. But, once I clear my stash, I will be all over this.  The sample I had was great.

I have Origins Plantscriptions oil on my face right now. My undereye area feels great. This cold is killing my skin!

Thanks I will check those out. Haven't had good luck with Ole Henriksen though - that truth serum had me so broken out in hives :-(

New here and looking for advice.  I had a great bonus and stocked up on some standbys in late 2013, but the items I purchased no longer suit me.  I have all of the receipts, but I feel terrible returning since it has been so long.  All unused/still in box.  Did I wait too long?  I would be totally fine with store credit.  What do you think?

The Shade and Light palette bothers me for some reason because I don't like how the highlight shades are half the size of the contour colors - honestly no one but a MUA would need all six colors, and the rest of us will take ages to use a full size of highlight OR bronzer, so they should have made all six the sizes the smaller size and knocked $10 off the price. :lol: /.2 cents
