Well I sent the email we'll see what happens, I hate fussing about this stuff but I specifically got these as a mini gift (I've used the set I like it already) and a travel set for me. 100 points when I hardly use them  anyway doesn't help when I can't complete the system.

Maybe you can swap in store, unless you're avoiding stores during your 100 days.

I've been really down lately going out and interacting with the world doesn't appeal to me right now. I dont think my SinJCP had the set anyway.

Does anyone else who had their Flash membership extended remember how long it was good for?  I remember a couple other people posting in here at the same time I got my extension but I deleted the email and I don't remember the new expiration date; maybe sometime in February?  Wondering how much longer I have to buy cheap things online to redeem my points.

Ohhh really?? I wanted to try out two different moisturizers and two different foundations, and the SA helping me said she couldn't make me 4 samples and I had to pick 3. Maybe I'll try a different Sephora next time I want to sample products!
My regular SiJCP has never done that or said that to me, or the regular store, but if that happened at the main store, I'd walk out, and go back in for a new set of '3' samples.  Probably do it three times just to be a ****.  That's ridiculous.

If you mean the Formula x 500 pt perk, they have it at SiJCP at Arden.  That's where I was tonight.  (there's one Algenist Genius Eye cream too...in the skin care bag section! LOL!).

Also, not sure if it was mentioned yet, but online there is a new 500 pt perk with Boscia...that one I thought looked really good.

They also had online a 250 Pt Perk Chloe Love Story mini and it has the VIB Rouge/VIB only tag on it!  In the point perk! LOL!

And our rule is to do 3 total samples (again, just like online). I don't mind at all when people bring me what it is they want to try out.
Oops, didn't mean to be disrespectful in any way in my other post, but really?  I mean if someone doesn't live close by, and wants to try 5 moisturizers you can't do that? Even if you wanted to?  I can see limiting online samples because that could get sooooo out of hand, but if I was just starting out and wanted to try moisturizers from five top brands, I don't see why that is a big deal...but again not trying to be disrespectful just curious why that is in store.  And I can totally see if someone is in there getting like one of each of everything, but if there is a good reason - and I agree about your foundation comment, BTW, but you get what I'm saying, just seems to be a bit rigid for some situations, IMHO.

I'd probably ask the lady is she wanted to split my gas bill!  LOL!

@ In defense of the 3 sample limit, it is sometimes VERY helpful to have a set number. This way the reps can consistently cite on store policy, and rude customers can't play multiple reps off each other with the "but the other one made me 10 samples ..." The rude, grabby customers ruin it for the people who actually want to sample, not take advantage of free stuff.

Customer story: saw a lady in sijcp whining at a sales rep because she wanted to snap a new UD pencil in half to take as a "sample."

Ugh, the nerve of some people (re: the lady in SiJCP). I felt bad when I went to get KVD Poe right after the studded kiss lippies went out and the SA went in the back and brought out a brand new one for me to use as a tester, and when I decided I loved it and had to have it, she gave me another brand new one to buy. I would've been perfectly fine just buying the "tester" she had opened just for me - she stuck a tester sticker on it afterwards. I know they would've eventually had to use a new one as a tester after they had the display set up, but I still felt bad!

In my experience the store associates will let you sample more than 3 if you're nice and reasonable about it. I think the policy is in place just so when they have difficult customers, they can mention the policy. People can be sooo entitled and difficult. Last time I was in Sephora right before the holidays there was a girl trying to get a rollerball fragrance for free as a "sample" of the perfume  :bringiton:

Sephora's response which I'm assuming they know is a giant pile of BS because they make it nearly impossible to copy because it's a giant link back to their homepage. So I complained to FB CS which is getting really old.

Is anyone else getting pissed off about having to BEG to get appropriate responses from companies nowadays?

Wowwww sephora. I feel like the only time I've ever gotten decent CS from them was when I called, but I'm practically allergic to phone calls so it's always my last resort. Emails are useless and their fb team can't even spell my 3 letter first name right.

That reply reminds me of how comcast tried to charge me $80 or something for them sending a tech here and "finding no comcast issue." The tech NEVER SHOWED UP, yet he falsified his records and said he had... After about 931693 levels of ~supervisors~ and 2 hours later it ended up with a refund and 3 free months of some stupid package of channels I don't even watch.

LOL they always tried to offer 3 free months of HBO as an apology and hubby always yelled at them. We don't watch it and they made it clear we would have to call in 3 months to have it turned off. We never even allowed them to turn it on. Silly Comcast

They didn't even tell me I would have to call and cancel, but considering their business model it's not surprising that they'd try to pull a fast one with that. "Here, take this "compensation" that doesn't benefit you at all (oh btw if you don't cancel we get more of your $!)"

Does anyone ever win the sweepstakes for filling out the survey?  I gave up my name, date and time I was in a particular store to enter.  Now, I am just wondering if it was a way to figure out what customer said what.

It's all good.. I don't make the rules but I agree with others, I think the rules are in place to help with people that take advantage of it, especially when we are very busy. We have people that come in and try to be sneaky and get 3 samples from each associate.. Or they will ask for the same 3 samples more than once. It's pretty bad when I see those regulars and I usually only work 3 days a week, you KNOW they are in there more often than that. Haha

I had one lady come in all frantic that she just flew in for two days and forgot her makeup bag.. So I looked in her previous purchases at her brands and did a sample of a moisturizer, eye cream, primer, concealer and foundation and she bought minis of a cleanser, mascara and a setting powder. I'm a makeup hoarder like the rest of you, I get it, I'd die if I forgot my stuff!! But really, I can get in trouble for doing more than 3 and I am not willing to risk my job and feeling guilty (because I am a rule follower) to give out more samples. I am always polite about it though.. If someone wanted to have five moisturize samples, I'd ask more questions about their skin concerns and suggest we try the textures on the back of her hand to narrow them down to 3. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

FB fixed the problem as usual but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth that to get the sort of service I should have received through their normal CS channels, I had to "tattle" to their FB team.
