At my Sephora they limit the number of samples you can ask for from testers in the store to 3. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I don't think that is normal... one of the selling points of "in-store" was always supposed to be they would make you samples of whatever you wanted. At least, I thought? I know they can't make samples of like, mascara but I've never heard that they would limit the samples they can make! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I heard it was 3 samples from each "world", aka skincare, fragrance, makeup and whatever other world's there are...

Ohhh really?? I wanted to try out two different moisturizers and two different foundations, and the SA helping me said she couldn't make me 4 samples and I had to pick 3. Maybe I'll try a different Sephora next time I want to sample products!

So I got all of the mini bottles open (thanks for the heads up two were really stuck, how embarrassing to give as a gift) and one of my nail cleaners is absolutely empty.

I need to look at my x perks... I picked up 2,but haven't opened them yet.

I've only received samples in store once and it was "look at your receipt! there is a survey and I'm going to write my name on the receipt and put hearts all over it, so make sure you mention me, we are having a contest. Look! here's some samples! Aren't I so awesome!?!?!" kind of thing.

I've never asked for samples to be made. I always feel so awkward and uncomfortable in Sephora that I try to avoid any contact with sales people lol.

I always ask for a sample or two when I make a purchase ... depending on what it is. Sometimes the sample jars look touched over and contaminated. I tend to only get fragrances or skincare from a pump/tube, which can at least be wiped down!

I've never just been given samples in my bag, even when I didn't ask for any to be made! Lucky!

How do you sample fragrances?!?!
You tell them you want a sample and they go make one for you.

Yeah I hate talking to strangers and I really hate talking to sales people, so I never get samples in Sephora. Except I did ask for a sample of a perfume the other day.

One of the many great things about being 51 is that those snippy little heifers in places like Sephora who seem to forget that their job is to help me do not try to act a b*tch around me.

Whether they see me as a granny figure or pity me in my dotage I couldn't say, but they seem to behave better.

Having said that, I have never had issues with the ladies in Sephora. Nor have I ever had any mean girl problems in high end places like Chanel or Tiffany or Hermes.

It's in the high-end wanna-be places that I run into problems. Them b*tches at Abercrombie and Fitch, male and female alike, need to get over themselves. I ain't even gonna tell you what one of my cousins calls that store.

Ok ladies can I get some help, I usually come off as either a doormat or an all out B****, so suugestions?

I'm sorry that's unacceptable. The whole point of the perk was to be able to use the Formula X system as a whole. I am now missing a key part of that. I either need the piece I am missing, a new set sent to me or 400 more points so that I can reorder the whole set myself. Offering a 100 pt refund does not even cover the point cost of 500 points split four ways.

I don't get to go in store a lot because the closest is about an hour and a half away (with no traffic) and the other one about another 15 minutes away, but last time I was in the one the guy ringing me up asked if anyone helped me and did anyone offer to make me any samples. I wasn't even going to get a perfume sample but the girl offered to make any samples I wanted to try. I also got a foundation sample. That store always has great customer service though.

Also, I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with Sephora's Facebook customer service. I went there because people here seem to have better luck and they actually fixed my account status. There was an error with my account showing that I needed to spend more than I really did to reach Rouge, and I messaged them about it and how I got a generic email when I contacted customer service before. They actually looked into it and quickly took care of it. I really thought they would say they couldn't fix it. Yay!

I'm the same way.. I like what you wrote. It makes sense too.

At my SIJCP, we hardly ever have foils or perfumes already made (like the online samples), but I try to have some that we have made to give everyone at least one.. And our rule is to do 3 total samples (again, just like online). I don't mind at all when people bring me what it is they want to try out.

The perfume samples are like your typical fragrance spray vial.. The little jars should be enough to try it out two or three times (it usually looks pretty empty but there is more than it really looks). I had a lady recently be really upset I wouldn't give her five.. I tried to explain that besides it being my work guidline, five foundations samples to be used three times is actually not all that helpful.. There is air in the jars and the formulas don't perform the same if it has been sitting there for two weeks, know what I mean? It kinda dries out and gets thicker.. Its just bad. She seemed more understanding after that. I wrote the foundation shades down and asked that she come back after trying the three to get the other two.

Oh and I totally put a heart and my name around the survey when I've helped someone hahahaha that previous description made me laugh!! It totally makes my day when someone does the survey though and mentions my name, I text it to my husband and my sister and sometimes my mom when they are really complimentary! :-D

I was given a fragrance sample twice. One was a little vial like most fragrance samples come in and the other time she somehow got it into a vial from the big tester.

We have the spray parts plus a funnel to help it go in! It hurts my hands to put it all together, it's not easy, but I can appreciate wanting a fragrance sample so it's all good haha

@@tweakabell I'd say thanks but no thanks. They need to send you a replacement of the full set or refund all 500 points. The set is a system that needs to be complete to work together, that's how THEY set up the perk. Also Facebook cs is always best for me.
