Yeah the only ones that have really tempted me were the florabotanica (? Or rosabotanica? Was it even from 2014?) and UD. The ???botanica one had an adorable scarf I thought my grandma would love, but went OOS before I could get it. And the UD just wasn't worth it to me considering how much UD I already have lol. 2 tempting perks out of the entire year is just sad.

Sorry I grabbed the UD as a gift, it was a good size for a gift. I think the scarf was last year(edit: as in end of 2013)? but they're all running together now lol

I got the Josie Maran set and was so disappointed. I used the 250 point glitch a couple times so I guess it made up for it. I love the formula x set though. Perfect for travel. The Bliss set was tempting but the value wasn't there especially with all the holiday sets. I would like to see a Dennis Gross perk.

I'd like a few more of the higher end cosmetics. I tend to stay more towards the mid-range but it'd be nice to get some nicer cosmetics to try and tempt me a little pricier for a good formula.

The only 500 I did this year was the NARS set over the summer and the fact that it had Deep Throat (which I don't own) and not Orgasm for the blush.

Before then, I've done a Laura Mercier set that had five really nice sized items, a benefit that had a full size Dandelion and I think a few others that I'm not remembering. I really do feel like they have gone down hill which makes me sad. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I will be paying closer attention to perfumes moving forward.. I don't always feel like they are worth 250 but at this point, it might be the way to go vs the skimp 500.

I really liked the Bobbi Brown set, mostly because of the mini cream blush turned out to be my favorite blush of all time.

I got the Dior perk a few months ago mostly because I love J'adore. I liked the lipgloss that came with it so I thought it was worth it.

Getting five 100 point perks is usually better than getting one 500 point perk.

Have you tried opening those Formula X bottles yet? For me it was impossible and they went in the trash full.

The formula x Holiday set (with the 4 polishes) had one bottle that was almost impossible to open, my husband was able to finally open it. It must be the smaller size polishes?

I love their 3 step system, I've used it over a year now (I've had to replace the top coat) and I usually get about five or so days before there is chipping enough to polish them again. I wonder if running hot water on the lids would help? Pull them back out from the trash, it makes me sad to think of them in there lol

Ha luckily Sephora gave me my 500 points back so I'm not too worried about having to trash them. Was sad though - was looking forward to trying the system!

Stopped in Sephora after doing a return today.  I really don't enjoy going in the store as I get overwhelmed and for some reason things don't look as special as they do online or arriving in the mail.  Anyhoo, I got a great match on the foundation I wanted to try and bought it (Hourglass Hyaluronic Skin Tint).  I had a $25 Visa Card that was bugging me so, this was a great way to use it. 

I got the NARS birthday gift (it was offered, I didnt' have to ask) and 3 samples that were not perfume!  But, the point items were blah.  They had the 500 pt Peter Roth, 250 pt Dolce perfume and 3 lonely 100 pt perks that were not exciting.  Another case for ordering online (more choices).

I am glad I went in as I have been thinking about my skin tone all wrong.

Wow - awesome to get some samples in store. I feel like I never get samples in store. :-(

@@JenTX - really? I never buy in store so, I wasn't sure if this was the norm. I didn't notice them until I emptied my bag when I got home.

I would say I get samples from sephora maybe 50% of the time when I'm in store - everyone who works at the ones I go to is so friendly and helpful and I've gotten deluxe samples without ever asking. Sometimes I'll be chatting with a SA and they'll just happen to have something that could help me with whatever problem I have (e.g. 3 huge packets of living proof stuff for my humidity hating hair) or they'll just scan a random sample that they have (usually sephora brand) and put it in my bag.

ETA: I've ended up liking sephora for in-store purchases and ulta for online lol. All the ultas I've ever been to (even in the most ~posh areas of town) have always made me so uncomfortable between the opened/swatched/makeup and the SAs that follow you around like they suspect you of being a shoplifter.

I have a new Ulta near me that I haven't walked into yet. I have never gotten on board with Ulta and for no reason. This new store is the first I have seen of its kind so, that could be it. 

I am embarrassed to say that I just got a UPS delivery from Sephora. I had placed an order on 12/29 because I noticed they had the hourglass foundation as a sample. Bad reason to place an order. I bought it today and in a different color so real dumb. But, I got a little bit of this and that in deluxe sizes. The Fresh Lip set was a good promo. VIBFRESH if anyone is interested.

i only get samples if i ask. at the sijcp i go to i bring the containers up of the things i want. its pretty funny to walk up with arms full of skin care and just be like "oh i just want samples of these plz thnx"
