I ordered that Bite three-lipstick set and I don't know why, I bought one of the colors when they first came out and promptly took it back. I hated the formula and color, and I usually ADORE Bite. I also got that Bite kit that comes with the lip mask, because i lost my last one (not even 1/4th used, sniff!) and it's a good deal. I also got the Tarte naturals palette, not the one with the lace or the zipper, but the one with the flower. I never got that one. I came SO CLOSE to buying another one of the Tarte Naturals palette with the zipper on it because the last time it was on sale, two of the shadows had been a tiny bit damaged in shipping and I couldn't replace it, but I'm trying to be better. I don't NEED ANOTHER ONE!

I'm going on my first no-buy after the holidays (well, I've been on one for the last two weeks before the other day, because I think I spent about $500 on both Secret Santas and I have seven nieces and nephews that need to be spoiled for Christmas). It's not just that I'm starting to get broke- my "fun money" account is getting dangerously low- it's that I DON'T NEED THIS STUFF. I couldn't use it all up in my lifetime, I don't think. I just need to seriously lay off and only buy the true, TRUE treasures. My boyfriend and I are building our dream house, we've got planned trips to the UK, South Africa, Japan, India (some of the few *major* tourist destinations I haven't been to yet) and, most importantly- DISNEY WORLD! My first time! My point isn't some cool brag- it's that every time I buy stuff I don't even really want that much, I take away from our fun money fund that i'm SURE we're going to want to drain while traveling this year.

I don't know why I'm telling you all of this, except that I think you wonderful gals are some of the few who will understand my compulsion to buy stuff I don't REAAAAALLY want, get suckered into sales and GWPs, and then feel blah about it. Someone want to link me to the no-buy thread? :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Hey girl, congratulations to you for voluntarily reigning your spending in for more long-term happiness. That takes guts!

Actually, if you want to join us in the No-buy section, we have several projects going on:

1. 100-day no-buy starting January 1, ending at the start of Sephora's Chic Week (a whole bunch of us, including me, are doing this one.)

2. Pan that Palette 2015 where you pick a palette that you want to hit pan on in 2015 (I'm also participating in this one.)

Hope you join us!

Also- you know the mask that comes in the Bite kit is not full-size, right? Just making sure, although you probably do know that. Still a gread deal, as that stuff lasts forever anyway!

You need to use a LOT of alcohol tbh, press HARD, and let it be for at least 48+ hours. I've never had issues with mine :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Thanks, ohsailor!  I suspect I wasn't waiting long enough before using my shadows/powders after pressing.  I will definitely try again!  :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

totally get it! traveled quite a bit before kiddos and now that I cant b/c of them I think I spend on these things!

I believe that that travels + adventures and the memories you make are worth way more than any sephora haul! the key is moderation but easier said than done!

I almost just made a purchase only to get the cute perfume gift today! I had to stop myself!

You girls are so sweet and supportive :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> @@eastofthesun I will def join those. It has to happen. Also, I figured it wouldn't be full sized, but I haven't checked actual sizing- if it turns out to be tiny, taking it back!!

They have a 100 point award up for Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Alpha Beta pads. They are both amazing and pricey, so if you haven't tried them, give them a whirl! I have sensitive skin and even the extra strength version is fine for me. I use them at night and when I wake up my skin feels noticeably smoother to the touch, and no redness/irritation.

Yeah and I'll prob buy regularly until they are out of the Algenist Eye cream promo.    But I am starting to realize that I don't have to get everything I want right away and that I can't possibly use it all, so that is good. Also I decided to gift quite a bit away over the holidays...my nieces are going to be soooo happy tomorrow!

And I still have a wish list that is long, palettes aside.  I don't need another eye shadow for as long as I live, but I guarantee I'll have another palette very soon.  Oh, hahaha, just remembered something...I guarantee I'll have another palette tomorrow.  :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

But I have so many bare minerals powder eye shadows, and I have fall out issues with my pressed powders!  How in the hell am I going to get those to stay put??  Love to look at them, but someday I'm going to have to do more than just look (and buy!) hahaha!!

EDIT:  I guarantee I'll have three more palettes by January! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  But no more from here on out, for a while anyway. Hmm....

ok a little venting here...so is anyone else a bit peeved that be the delight for today and the fan Friday is the sale code. I feel like that's old news. I bought the stuff last week and I was a expecting a big finale for the last delight code it should have been awesome. like an 11 o'clock number and then i was left thoroughly disappointed that both were the same thing

I'm pretty sure today is the first day regular BI and non-BI can use the sale code, so it would be exciting for them!

I went into a Sephora inside JCPenney today and found the star performers sephora favorites set for $29! It was originally $55. I thought it was totally worth it for the anastasia brow wiz and juicy perfume alone so I snapped it up! It also has the they're real mascara, too faced chocolate soleil bronzer, full sized nars lipstick, and other products. This is exclusive to SiJCP so if you wanted this set I would recommend you go to a SiJCP as soon as you can!! I had sephora gift cards and only spent $6 out of pocket, what a deal!! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Very happy with my purchase right now lol.

Ooh, I like the look of The Great Cleanse, hopefully it sticks around until the new year. Were these in clearance, or are they still full price?

The sample selection is so freaking bad I skipped samples for the first time ever. Do not need more perfume!!
I just checked it out to see how bad it was; wasn't expecting ALL the options to be perfume samples.  That's something......
