I have been holding out not to buy the first one forever, and I don't know why. I guess because I have Naked 2 I thought I might have too many nudes/neutrals that it'd be a waste of money.I've resisted the Too Faced Chocolate bar palette so far and now there's TWO.
Might ... not ... be able to resist any longer!!!
I bought 'Diffused Light' during the VIB sale and I've been using it every day since- all over my face as a setting/finishing powder. I love it so so much. I'm extremely pale, and it works great because I feel like it very subtly also cancels out redness. That said, I adore Diffused Light as an all-over powder. I think it's perfect for me, evens out my skin tone and provides a fabulous blur. I also really enjoy the ambient blush palette.
Haha, good point! I was actually having the same problem with the asymmetry in both the case design and the pan organization, but couldn't really put my finger on it.I wanted to love the Chocolate palette so much, but I must be the only person in the world that those shadows crease on. I tried so hard to make them work. Just as well, I suppose. The asymmetry probably would have driven me mad in the end. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
That is so sad about your Meteorites! I'm glad they are sending you a new one. Question- was the box it arrived in damaged too, or was there no telling just looking at it?I received the order I made with my $25 card last night! Yay!
Unfortunately, my lovely Meteorites were mostly disintegrated. Boo!
There is a happy ending, though - Sephora is shipping me a replacement as my order was obviously damaged during shipping - Yay again!
Question: This is my first Meteorites purchase - do they normally get crushed during shipping? I wonder if I would have been better off braving the holiday shopping madness and purchasing them at Sephora.
I was a little concerned about all of the browns in the semi-sweet too but then I did a side-by-side of the two and it's just a touch darker overall. I would have a hard time choosing. (Translation - I would not choose but would buy both.)I have been holding out not to buy the first one forever, and I don't know why. I guess because I have Naked 2 I thought I might have too many nudes/neutrals that it'd be a waste of money.
I did however cave last week and finally bought the Chocolate bar palette. I LOVE it! I'm really glad I caved. I don't think I'm into the new semi-sweet chocolate bar palette though. That would be a total over kill on the browns for me. Especially since I just bought the "firey saffron" eye palette from Estee Lauder (which is also awesome!).
Benefit Watt's Up is actually decent for this with a touch of shimmer. I find it's better for brow bones and smaller areas because it's a thicker formula so you can't just smooth it around as easily. Thanks to all of you for replying. The YSL and UD ones are officially marked off the list. I will have to check out some of the others when I have more time. Just looking for a nice subtle shimmer to give me glow at the highpoints - brow bones, high of cheek bones, etc. if that helps describe what I'm looking for.
Very cool! My local standalone stores never have the promos or perks I'm looking for /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />I was sad to have missed the f-bomb 100 pt perk but found it in store! actually found it in 2 stores near me.
I'm not a lippie person so I'm not sure if I can pull it off but I'm going to try!
The outside box did not have any signs of damage, but the black Guerlain box was covered in a shimmery powder. I suspect the package was seriously shaken en route...I bought 'Diffused Light' during the VIB sale and I've been using it every day since- all over my face as a setting/finishing powder. Thanks! I hope so, too! I had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this order, so you can imagine my disappointment /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />. I tried using them, but despite tapping my brush a few times, there was just too much powder...@@Tamara76 I can't believe how many are crushed! Looks like 50% or more :scared: Hopefully your next shipment will arrive safely.
Aww, I am so sorry to see that! I've ordered Meteorites online twice now, and both times 99% of the pearls have been intact, so yours had to have been either broken before they shipped it, or damaged during shipping. That is NOT normal.I received the order I made with my $25 card last night! Yay!

I don't usually have much luck either, which is why I was so surprised!Very cool! My local standalone stores never have the promos or perks I'm looking for /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
That's how I feel, I wasted it on something I didn't really want and bam this happens lol..I actually took back my first Chocolate Bar palette, but that's because I just.. didn't need it. Really annoyed that I found out about this new palette RIGHT after I sighed and spent my $25 gift card on two Fresh balms.
Thank you for your honest explanation. Now i really feel bad about the return. Should have just took the trouble to return it online. I really hate to think of the new return ending up in trash. I really appreciate your response.Hi, so I work at SIJCP.. I just wanted to clarify that the shipping invoice is not actually a receipt.. It doesn't show the prices you paid or who what method (so as an example, we wouldn't know if you paid full price or if it was a sale item or if you used a discount code like they're offering right now with a $$ off). You need to have the email that was your order confirmation, either on your phone or printed out. Most people don't know that and so we do have to process it as a return with no receipt. If you do to many returns that way, they do flag you and it will print out a 'warning' (we don't have access to how many you have done, it's automatic- maybe you have done JCP returns?). For what it's worth, I know Walmart and target are the same, they always take your ID for returns with no receipt, I don't think it's all that uncommon. You probably had a holiday hire that was frazzled and didn't explain it well. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Also with no receipt, we can only offer in store credit which can only be used at SIJCP or JCP. I always encourage people to just go to a free standing sephora to do the return. It's not that I'm trying to be difficult, customer service is important to me personally, but if you go to a free standing Sephora, you can use the card at any sephora and online. I do a lot of online orders and I'd be frustrated to not be able to use my credit anywhere I wanted.
As for the origins, since we don't carry it, we can't scan it to put it back in as a return and it's not easy at all to make it work.. I've only done it once or twice and it's a huge pain. Since we don't sell it in store, there is no way to resale it, it literally is put in the trash. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I'm sorry you had a bad experience, I hope this helps a bit. It's hard when as an employee, we're limited to the computer systems and their rules. I want everyone to have a great experience!
wow, that was so different from the jcp sephora experience. glad it worked out well for you /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />FYI I returmed that same item to origins!! They said it came up in their system as a sephora item for the same price and returned it in a snap! No issues!!
