Finally decided what to use my online $20 gc on... I bought Guerlain Rouge G in Grenade. I've been wanting to try a Rouge G forever so this was finally a good time to splurge.

Finally used my Sephora gc--bought the Tartelette Matte.  I'm such a sucker for matte neutrals.  I was going to buy it when it was on the Tarte preview but held off.  Glad I did!

You know, I don't think I'm ever going to calm down when I see something I like and it is makeup related!  Thank you @@AngeBrooklyn for enabling me!!  I had NO IDEA that there was a new Tarte palette...until I saw your post on my break at work (via email alert).  Did I stop to think that Tarte has 30% off right now and maybe they have this palette?  No.  Did I stop to think maybe Ulta has it and I have a coupon still for Ulta (plus glitch for double bonus discount!)...no.  Did I stop to THINK AT ALL???  NOPE.  That palette is on its way to meeeeeeeeeeee!!!  SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Oh I need to STOP.  Really.  I'm embarrassed with the amount of makeup and palettes I have.  And I love them all, truly, but my word I will never use them all up!  Just when I think I've seen it all...something new comes along and I ooooooohhhhh and aaaaahhhhh over the new things...I don't know how you ladies survived all these years with so many new makeup palettes all the time!!  I've watched my bank account flatline a few times over my obsession...I can't imagine having done this every year for YEARS!!!  

I've decided, I just need to start a cosmetic resell company like an Ulta or Sephora...then I can have it all and NOT feel so bad for my continued spending and hoarding!

Sacramento area is supposed to have a whopper of a storm later tonight and into tomorrow and Friday....I'm debating whether I should go to the mall again tonight, or stay in and...and...hmmm...ok I'll probably go out!  LOL!

@ you are hilarious!  We all know that we'll never use up all the palettes we buy.  But aren't they pretty and fun to have?  And @@Jaly is right, the palette isn't avail at the Tarte site (or Ulta).   It is supposed to be available in spring and the Tarte site had a 5 day preview around Thanksgiving.  Totally thrilled it popped up on Sephora as a VIB/Rouge exclusive.

While we may never use everything up, I've had shadows for year (like 15 years) that still are great...this is how I justify the massive influx of eyeshadow palettes. Now the fact that I;ve purchased over 30 foundations this year...well that IS just crazy.

I'm on a hiatus from the foundation search due to finances and because I feel like a foundation-matching hypochondriac. It makes me wish I had a brutally honest sister who would give me a straight up opinion in person. Alas, no sisters.

@@ZeeOmega Right now I'm a mixologist, Mac face and body~Estee Lauder Double Wear ~ Revlon Colorstay. My top 3 are the EL, Tarte Amazonian Clay (on it's own) and the Revlon Colorstay. I also like Kat Von D Lock It foundation, but used as concealer. 

I'm an oil slick and although my Dior Pore Minimizer is the bee's knees I'm still trying to get a full 5 hours without shine.

The gold text looks like it says Effortless, the full size product doesn't look much like the sample tube though so it may be something else.

Yeah they have quite a few VIB/Rouge exclusives right now!  That's pretty awesome...wish they would do that more often!  You know, so I can buy even FASTER!  And EARLIER...hell just give me next year's Holiday Palettes right NOW!!  :w00t:

I swear, I get so much enjoyment out of my collections...and I sometimes do my makeup twice, just for fun. Ok I do that a lot.  But I like mixing and matching colors, and practicing my blending...and I too (like @sarap) am hunting for my great foundation.

Today I tried my new CC cream from Origins I bought last weekend.   I was surprised at how dewy it was (note to the lady looking for dewy face stuff - check out this product!!)  :smilehappyyes:

I bought Amazing Cosmetics Concealer in my color (which was perfectly matched to the sample I had) but upon application - it turned very light, and I had that mime look.  Ick.  That doesn't look good on me because...well...I'm not a mime!  LOL!  But my dark circles are enhanced when my skin is flawless AND colorless.  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

KVD's was great, except it turned very yellow on me...???...and I didn't get enough coverage out of YSL although I loved loved LOVED the velvety feel of it!!

So...I switch between Origins Vita Zing, and Bare Minerals powder in medium beige.  But I feel like I've done too much trial and error on foundations.  So I'm going to relax on those for a while.  Plus I still have sooooo many samples to work through!!

BTW - decided to stay home tonight.  Got my pj's on and am going to wrap some Christmas presents! :santa:

Gosh, speaking of palettes, why'd Sephora have to restock the Viseart after I used my gift? I knew they would do that - but if I had waited, they never would have restocked.

I'm bust, so I have to keep my fingers crossed that it is still in stock when hubby gets home... maybe I can convince him I need this AND the Guerlain Petrouchka palette... uh....

I had to return an item I bought with the VIB discount, and they were unable to match the % off on my exchange... but that was after the sale was over, so I really don't know if it would be different with the gift cards, especially since it is a different type of discount entirely!

I know right!?  What the hell is with foundations that we always feel the need to buy more?  We find a HG one, and then more new kinds come out, we sample them, and then I'm all, ooohhh, I love this one too! I love that one, and this one!  

I think the only one I love so much I couldn't live without though is my YSL fusion ink.  Then I have a slightly thicker one from Estee Lauder, and then my "no foundation foundation" (which I don't love as much these days after using the YSL ink), and then I have a matte one from Dolce and Gabbana that is slightly too light for me, but will work better now in the winter.

Have you tried the Estee Lauder Perfectionist youth infusing makeup?

It has a similar velvety/real skin feel once applied, and has pretty good coverage, without being cakey or thick.  If you liked YSL ink but want more coverage, this EL one is a good one to try!
