EDIT: oops. starting 12/25, when it's useless... ugh

Does anyone know- if I take back the two Fresh balms I bought with  my $25 gift card tomorrow (I received them today), will I be able to reuse my $25 gift card? I really wnat to get that Semi-sweet palette before it's too late.
Usually you don't get your discount or promo gift card amount back if you return.  Sometimes they'll allow an even exchange for the same item/different color, but they wont give your gift card amount back.

Ha ha, the foundation thing - I am seriously trying to be so good, and I only have two bottles (plus two BB creams, but those don't count) open right now. But I want to start using my new Hourglass Immaculate so bad! Foundation is the worst, I swear - it's addicting, but impossible at the same time!

The HG Immaculate is amazing!! It's the one I wore for my wedding and it worked beautifully.

Ugh, I wish I knew the code TARTEHEART existed before it went OOS! And I was looking for a good code!

I know my posts have been negative lately, but it's like I'm having the WORST luck with Sephora lately!

I really wanted to love the Hourglass immaculate (I have 2 different shades ouch $$$) but on my oil slick of a face just won't blend properly. If anyone one has tips please share!

Have you tried the Estee Lauder Perfectionist youth infusing makeup? http://www.sephora.c...4?skuId=1642651   It has a similar velvety/real skin feel once applied, and has pretty good coverage, without being cakey or thick.  If you liked YSL ink but want more coverage, this EL one is a good one to try!
No, I haven't tried that one...thanks for the feedback on that!  I haven't really dug in to find my AHA foundation. I think since trying Borghese's Splendore, I've been more focused on illuminators and brighteners.   And CC creams.  I guess I'll get there eventually - but I put that one on my list!  Thanks!!

That's so weird, because it is supposed to be designed for oily skin. I'm sorry! I have combo skin that is only normal-level oily in the t-zone, but I sweat like the Biblical Flood, so I was amazed at how well it worked for me. Didn't budge an inch, even in my sweaty areas!

Well, if it helps...I used a toner or face wipe after putting on my lotion but before putting on the foundation and I just use my fingers to blend it in like a face cream. I let it set for a few minutes and then put on blush, etc. No setting powder.

Loving all the chat about foundations.  I think this will be my next quest.  I have been a EL Light Day Wear gal for a few years.  I want more coverage and need some dew/glow as I have dry skin in most areas.   I may stick with EL but another product.

I did like the YSL Fusion ink sample I tried.  But, reviews said that it was good for oily skin.  It did feel a bit dry/matte on me.

i use the HG immaculate as well. i have tried everything i could think of to make it work.try using it with a beautyblender even though HG tells you not to use a sponge. it looks completely flawless. i also think it pairs best with either the smashbox primer or the HG veil primer.

ETA of the 10ish primers i've tried of course :3

Don't feel so bad, when I started "collecting" makeup, my love was so strong I ended up getting a job at Sephora so I could get a discount lol.

But I think after buying and trying so many palettes or everything else, I learned what I like and don't like. And little by little u buy less things (usually more high end because u get a taste for the fine life lol)

But the hoarding kinda ... slows down. Not gonna lie, it doesn't stop, but when ur collection grows so much u won't want/need as much.

I'm still trying to cut down, I want the semi sweet for no reason. I have the first chocolate bar and don't use it.. haha but still want this one :/ sos.

I did just order the Venus palette from LimeCrime and have so many shadows already so I know I don't need it but.. ugh.. warm browns... warm brownsssssss

You know, I don't think I'm ever going to calm down when I see something I like and it is makeup related!  Thank you @@AngeBrooklyn for enabling me!!  I had NO IDEA that there was a new Tarte palette...until I saw your post on my break at work (via email alert).  Did I stop to think that Tarte has 30% off right now and maybe they have this palette?  No.  Did I stop to think maybe Ulta has it and I have a coupon still for Ulta (plus glitch for double bonus discount!)...no.  Did I stop to THINK AT ALL???  NOPE.  That palette is on its way to meeeeeeeeeeee!!!  SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Oh I need to STOP.  Really.  I'm embarrassed with the amount of makeup and palettes I have.  And I love them all, truly, but my word I will never use them all up!  Just when I think I've seen it all...something new comes along and I ooooooohhhhh and aaaaahhhhh over the new things...I don't know how you ladies survived all these years with so many new makeup palettes all the time!!  I've watched my bank account flatline a few times over my obsession...I can't imagine having done this every year for YEARS!!!

I've decided, I just need to start a cosmetic resell company like an Ulta or Sephora...then I can have it all and NOT feel so bad for my continued spending and hoarding!

Sacramento area is supposed to have a whopper of a storm later tonight and into tomorrow and Friday....I'm debating whether I should go to the mall again tonight, or stay in and...and...hmmm...ok I'll probably go out!  LOL!

@@SaraP Hourglass foundation does not match me at all. None of the colors were even close. I almost bought a YSL but the color was just ok and ended up with a Nars one because it looked natural and at the end if the night the makeup the Nars rep did looked glowy and but not oily like some foundations.

I have dry skin, and the YSL fusion ink works fine.  The trick is to moisturize well, let it sit for a minute, then put on the foundation...but don't over do it, a small smudge on each cheek, forehead, chin, tiny dot on nose, and that should be enough to blend in.  If you put too much, it will feel/look dry (based on my experience).  One of those card samples of it should give 2 applications, that's how little you really need.

Sometimes I feel I need more coverage in certain areas depending on how my skin is looking.  I always give a minute or two for the first layer to set before going back in and adding a little more here and there, keeps it from looking or feeling weird.

quick question: if a sephora order comes with no invoice and i want to return something from it, can i just print it out from my account and bring that in? can they look up my order that way?

i've never had that happen before.

I tried that once and they treated it like a return with no receipt so I was only able to get store credit
