I could have sworn I only got 15% last year as a BI.

It all makes sense, though. I have my VIB welcome kit, still, and there was about a year's span where I bought almost no makeup... I thought it was back in 2011 or so but it might have been 2012/2013... I remember being so pissed that I missed out on Rouge last year, since I had only $60 to go when the calendar rolled over... which means...

just a quick Q, has anyone who's bought anything from Sephora online had any luck returning or exchange stuff at SiJCP? I want to exchange my beauty blender for another one (I've only used it twice and it's already ripping) but I just don't know if it's better for me to go to a real store or drop by the closest thing, which would be the SiJCP

I've tried this 2 times, 1st time they wouldn't return it because they didn;t carry the item, the next the girl didn;t know how to process a online return. I'd just go to the regular store and save yourself the headache.

Looking at last years orders I hit VIB by Nov and a placed an extra large order by the end of dec because I was so close to rouge

Yes, I remember the sale last year being for all levels in November but BI got 15% off and VIB/Rouge got 20% off starting a couple days earlier. I was debating getting the Laura Mercier palette but it sold out during the VIB/Rouge discount period and before the BI discount period started.

BI do not get % off in November. You must be thinking of the gift cards in Dec. Or chic week in April.
The sales at sephora have been the same since 2010, when I first became vib (I think they've been constant far longer but I just don't have the experience to back that up). I'm certain there isn't a 15% in November. They have 3 % off a year - 15% in April, 20% in Oct f&f, then 20% in Nov for vib. They do a gift card promo in December, and a vib event in august with a pretty decent set of deluxe samples.

Rouge is new as of middle of last year, so I don't know the pattern for that yet, but it does seem like they're slowly shifting the good vib perks over to rouge, leaving us vibs wanting more. If I hadn't been vib for 4 years, I wouldn't know that what we get now is crap compared to before.

you can, even though you are exchanging, I would still print off your order confirmation email- the packaging slip isn't the same thing since there are no prices on it.

They just changed it so that you can return something we don't Sell but it's confusing and I'm still trying to figure it out.. Lol we used to HAVE to turn it away which of course as an associate, makes you feel bad. It's hard because we can't just scan it since it's not even in out JCP computers, if that makes sense. And the packaging slip does not count as a receipt so we have to take your ID and you'll get flagged if you do to many returns with no receipt. The order confirmation works as a receipt so print that out.

You will also only get credit for SiJCP, the merchandise credit will NOT work at the regular sephora or online.. So if you aren't exchanging, I'd return it at a free standing sephora so that you can use the money how you would like.

Thanks for all your tips. You are awesome! I didn't know you could return online orders to stores. This sounds like it'll be such a good thing to know for the future if I have to make a return as SiJCP is so much closer to me. I love my SiJCP, but I just wish they sold Hourglass.

No, it was not. If you go back and look at your April emails, it was definitely 15%

I know they carry the studio beauty blender though. Wouldn't it just be swapping one item for another? They're the same price still and I do have my order receipt from the shipment.

PS does anyone know if the VIB discount code is multiple use or just one time  use? I want to take a friend to the event, so I'd probably take her to a proper sephora -- at least so she could get some samples, but there are some sets at SiJCP I would really like to use my 20% on... >.>

So, I've settled on the Kat Von D Monarch Palette, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Auburn, and the Tarte Pigmet of Imagination Deluxe Cheek Set... for now. (I go through a very intensive bough of mind changing and rearranging. I'm at the very least completely settled on the Monarch Palette and the dip brow. I may add more as well.) 

Does anyone know of a good dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow brush? My elf angled brush is just a little too wide to get the perfect precise lines I want. I'd prefer a double ended one with the mascara brush at the end, but I can also settle for grabbing a handful of mascara sample brushes from Sephora if there isn't an affordable double-ended brush dupe.

Yesterday I received my mini Dior pallet from the Rouge promo. Flash at it's finest got my order to me less than 24 hours after I ordered it.

The mini pallet truly is mini. The colors will work really well for me. My only concern is that my eye shadow brush might be a little large to use with this pallet. Still a great promo though

If I already have the Hourglass ambient lighting palette, and a full size single of Diffused light, how redundant would the Guerlain Meteorite powders be? I'm really intrigued by them (mainly in the Clair 02 shade). But I'm not sure if I need them if they are essentially the same as my hourglass powders. 

I have a F&F code burning a hole in my pocket but I'm having the hardest time deciding on what I want. 

I also love the look of the Vice 3 but I just bought the Lorac Mega Pro so I feel like I should enjoy that and not get another big palette.

Whooahhh I am super sorry I even brought up the sale. Seriously, though, does it really matter when Sephora has had sales in the past? I mean, it is interesting and all but it doesn't change future sales, and I hate to see anyone get a little heated just because I am a dumb-dumb and can't remember jack that happened more than a week ago.

So, I'd rather hear about the goodies people got for THIS F&F and what they are planning to get in November... just  thought. :flowers:

I still can't decide what to get. Part of me wants to just make a big purchase now & then be done shopping for myself until after my Birthday (January). But my wallet would much rather I make a small order now, a small over during the VIB sale, & then another small order in December when/if they sent out the gift cards again. But then what if things sell out?!

That's the biggest problem, is how quickly things sell out when there is a discount offered! I actually ended up asking someone for a F&F code, because I do have some interest in the NARS blush palette, but only with 20% off, LOL. :lol: But now that it is released I am slightly concerned it will sell out online, and I just don't have the will power to be checking the stores constantly, hoping it comes in at that sweet spot where I could get it in November. What to do, what to do... :wacko:

I knowwww, I keep thinking it may sell out too, which I was convinced of last year, so I ordered it the day it came out last year even though I knew the sale was coming. I should have just waited, it was definitely still around. Already putting my list together for this year...will report back later, or I think last year someone made a separate thread about what to get at the sale. I am putting myself on a budget this time and sticking to it. Last year I freaked out the last day and bought a bunch of stuff, haha.
