So basically, to create VIB Rouge, they just stripped away a bunch of benefits that used to be in the VIB category and made them into VIBR perks instead? LOL no wonder both groups are side-eyeing Sephora so hard.

yes and I'm completely dumbfounded and beyond P!$$ED OFF now.  IT HAPPENED AGAIN!  I'm so fed up and I really have myself to blame.  They must have my account flagged.  I have not had an email from Sephora since 9/12/14.  (Aside from order confirmations and shipping confirmations).  NOTHING.

Today I received my last 3 orders I was expecting.  1) they are late 2) my Bon Voyage palette is swatched, andthe blush has a finger mark (it was not sealed) and my maracuja oil was not sealed (maybe this is how it comes).   One of the samples is incorrect (yet what I should have received was still an available sample yesterday).  I also had the ROUGE EYES promo and the Nars pro prime was opened (box obviously manipulated multiple times it looks like) and product wand tip is YELLOWISH???? and the Lancome makeup remover is not sealed (not sure if that is an issue or not).

Another order had two incorrect samples, but the ones I ordered are not showing up so oh well.  Here again the samples were the same well after I ordered but they could have run out and just not updated their website.

So...I'm trekking over to the mall to 1) return both Tarte's Bon Voyage and Too Faced Natural Eyes for FRESH NEW palettes.  (Oh I'm so angry) and 2) see if I can't figure out how to spend my $50 in Macy's gift cards and 3) keep my appointment at bare minerals for a - hmm - actually  now I can't remember but my ladies call me whenever they have a special event (and to their knowledge I've only purchased one measly blush from them since all my bm stuff usually comes from Sephora or Ulta).

I really need to eliminate Sephora from my vocabulary, because they clearly do not want my business.

Here is my FB rant that is on Sephora's FB page:

"I bought two palettes in the past week.  Too Faced Natural Eyes and Tarte's Bon Voyage set.  Both palettes arrived USED/SWATCHED as was Tarte's mini blush.  In addition to this, I have not received an email from Sephora since September 12th.  I have friends that get emails all the time.  They are various levels of BI - I am VIB Rouge.  Interesting that immediately following my call to customer service, with some of the worst customer service I've experienced, my regular flow of emails from Sephora stopped.  I quit ordering from you because the customer service is beyond belief deplorable, but decided to give you another try and recently placed some orders.  Obviously my account is flagged - thanks for being late with delivery, omitting my samples, and sending me your rejects.  I'll be returning them."

UGH.  I'm going to the mall.  Happy Friday Night everyone.

Forgot to mention if you get the "energie" promo, there are 14 foil samples from Lancome.  Creme and lotion.  They are green - part of the energie de vie line.

Yes, this is essentially what happened.

I haven't heard anything about 20% being Rouge exclusive. It wasn't last year.

 It is - but I am talking about the November sale ONLY. The F&F 20% is for everyone. During the November sale, BI and VIB will get 15% off, VIBR gets 20%. I was only VIB last year and I got the 15% off card in the mail and everything.

ETA: I double checked my memory and it seems that @@tweakabell is right, but I had the mailer until about a month ago - it wasn't from this year (I've been Rouge) so it had to be last year but what the frik sale was it from? Now I am dying of curiosity! :lol:

Were you maybe remembering the Dec coupons for $ off? I know last year they were $15 for VIB/BI and $20 for Rouge.
I will probably make Rouge this year between my wishlist for the sale and whatever promos they do after that. It's not something I've been going for deliberately but I have been concentrating my spend towards Sephora now that it's getting close. I want that free shipping!!!

I'm confused. Are we talking about the sale in early November? If so, its usually only for vib, not for bi. Last year it was 20% for vib and rouge. They didn't start distinguishing vib and rouge until 2014 so everything last year for rouge was basically the same as vib, save for the lipstick in the welcome kit.

The BI 15% is chic week in April. Early access for vib. This year rouge got a week early access then vib got a day before BI.

Or something like that. If they had mentioned rouge would get all the good gifts while they cut back on vib, I would have tried harder last year to qualify. I think I was pretty close... Closer than I am this year.

Yes, I remember the sale last year being for all levels in November but BI got 15% off and VIB/Rouge got 20% off starting a couple days earlier.  I was debating getting the Laura Mercier palette but it sold out during the VIB/Rouge discount period and before the BI discount period started.

I want to exchange my beauty blender for another one (I've only used it twice and it's already ripping) but I just don't know if it's better for me to go to a real store or drop by the closest thing, which would be the SiJCP
