Not true. That only happened once, the very first time they tried the rouge only code. They likely just hadn't worked out the kinks yet. Since then they've all been working as intended.
I think these great gifts are ingenious on sephora's part. They're really good valued gifts, stuff that people who don't usually spend as much would love to get. But it's also a great ploy to get their best customers to spend more $$. I think they've done a good job with rouge only perks recently. There haven't been as many vib only perks because of it, which makes me want to get rouge next year (so the marketing ploy is working).

You are an inspiration!! I looked at my purchase history from last year and I had a sample bag with purchase on 11/1.  For some reason I thought that I had combined a VIB sale code with a bag of samples, but that can't be right.  I made a $25 purchase with the bag of samples, so that must be the minimum purchase, hopefully they will keep that, its harder for me to justify many $35 purchases that close to the sale.  

I'm hoping there will be an in store shopping event with a bag similar to the sale in March/April.  I know a lot of people have been a bit down on the events, but I quite like them.  Is it wrong that I almost expect there to be Rouge in-store event now? I don't care about the food or "expertise", but it IS nice to pop in early, get it all done, and then leave before the mall gets tragically busy.

The true value of Rouge is free shipping, and considering you have to spend 3x's as much as VIB's there should be more is the general complaint.

*also my cart is sitting at $375...someone talk me down from the "But it's 20% off" ledge. 

Re Rouge: I am VIB, not Rouge, but from reading here, it doesn't seem like there's that much incentive to become Rouge except for the free shipping. But then Sephora cancels orders so that's kind of pointless... plus, if Flash gets out of beta and actually happens, there won't be an incentive any more at all... you guys I'm sorry - you should have way better rewards, better customer service, etc.

Re the $375- DON'T DO IT!! Wait for the VIB Rouge 20% off, which will probably coincide with some awesome sample bags like last year's blitz. Or maybe just get the things you think might sell out/the ones that are LE.

can't decide for the promo code again! trying to choose between the dior mini palette or the algenist set. 

I'd go with the algenist, but that's because I'm super obsessed with skincare. If you look at it another way- you can ask for samples of the algenist stuff, but you can't really get samples of eyeshadow, and the dior perk will be cute, and last you a long time. Eyeshadow is hard to go through, so it's really an awesome perk!

@ I have had samples missing and wrong before too.  I shop at Ulta and Belk when I can, Sephora is my last choice for purchases.  It's a shame because it used to be the other way around. 

Yeah.... I'm actually starting to realized that Ulta has better samples sometimes.... even ones without purchase! I recently got like 4 tubes of Becca shimmering skin perfector from there... for free and a sample of Bare Minerals' new Bareskin foundation in my color in a cute little deluxe size... just for getting color matched!!!!

Also, Dermstore.com/Blush.com are really awesome with customer service, have lots of high end stuff, and provide lots of gifts with purchase. I may start shopping there more often than Sephora...... I am only like 300 away from VIB Rouge this year. I'm trying to decide if I should do it or if I should just .... I don't know... By the time I order, I won't need any more stuff, so the free shipping would be lost on me, but I also really want the free shipping! EUGH!!H!!H!

Honestly I have been annoyed with the Rouge codes. Very few are worth spending the $35 required over the $25 for normal codes. I've already spent 3x more than VIB, why am I required to spend more per order on top of that for my supposed perks?

Yeah, that sucks! The point of the perks is to reward you for spending your $ there, not force you to spend more to get perks. That is so annoying!

AWESOME!!!!!! I remeber them being up in early November for sure. Are you one of the lucky ones who got the code early? I remember the beans were spilled early or something.... or was that just the regular time? I really hope they have that again this year! They had something like that the year before last too- it wasn't blitz bags, but it was similar, called 'mystery bag' with 25$ purchase. The blitz bags were better, though! Can't wait!!!!

HAHAHAHA...OMG.  I posted over there a few days ago because I wasn't sure if it was dead or moved.  Nope, just lack of interest or excitement.  Honestly, I think there are enough people posting on the Sephora Discussion thread here, it was hard to keep cross posting things between that thread and this one to be sure to include everyone in the conversation.  Plus, yeah...the perks are few and far between, and by the time I'm aware of them, gone.

Exactly! I'm not try to hate on Sephora (it's the main place to *I shop), but I would hate for someone to think the Rouge program is amazeballs and over spend to get it.

You'd have to spend $83 per month to hit Rouge. If you'd do that great, but it's not something to strive to get, IMO.

No this definitely feels familiar. I don't think we were supposed to be able to get all the bags, either,- but we did. lol

@@eastofthesun they had the blitz bags last year, and the it kits the year before. (I love these codes!) if I remember correctly they had the mystery bags later on (maybe late Nov/ early Dec?) - some people got awesome d/s samples while others got some foils too.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but one perk to Rouge is that for the upcoming BI sale, BI and VIB will only get 15% off - Rouge is the only level that will get the 20% discount. Is an extra 20% going to make up for all the money you spent to get Rouge? No, probably not unless you have some insane gift shopping to do. :lol: But I didn't want to be talking about 20% off in November without clarifying that it is Rouge only. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

So basically, to create VIB Rouge, they just stripped away a bunch of benefits that used to be in the VIB category and made them into VIBR perks instead? LOL no wonder both groups are side-eyeing Sephora so hard.
