Viewed the "invite" in Sephora's chat room...online 4x pt for rouge, 3X pt for vib and 2Xpt for ib from the 4th-10th. Also friends who come to the event can get the bag with $35 purchase. Looks like all the bad feelings about the invited friends not getting the gift bag was heard.

*@@JenTX gift bags will vary, but in the photo (that mUT wont allow me to upload grrrrrrr!) I can see a black makeup bag, Buxom mascara, escada perfume sample, Watts up highlighter, Living proof tube, Laura Mercier tube, and I can't tell what the other 3 items are...small jar, extra small tube and a card sample.

yes it had a pic of the gift bag but it said that the items would be varied

online too :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> through the 10th
Thank you both!! I'm interested to see what the goodies will be. Hoping for some nice goodies and good brand reps at my store!!

Ha ha, no worries! I actually had to go back several pages to find the link, so I figured it just got lost in the shuffle. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'm registered at the Venetian location. What Vegas Sephora do you usually shop at, @@ohsailor? I'm intensely curious because I have different experiences at all of them!
I usually go to Town Square because it's the easiest to get to (I live in GV), but the Venetian is my favorite and where I registered. Maybe see you there??

I just got the Becca Low Light Sculpting perfector and I am in looooove. My sephora doesn't carry the whole becca line, it was just in an area where they had lots of contouring kits, and they had a Becca highlighter as well. I like to switch to cream products in the summer, no idea why really, and this is the first cream product I've found that gives a natural contour shade, not just a cream bronzer. So happy I got this!!! I'm telling you, foolproof blending, so beautiful not orangey or muddy. Just posting because there are so few reviews of this product anywhere online, I wouldn't have purchased except I played with it in person.

Trying to convince myself I don't need the new Marc jacobs palettes........must resist....
Ahhh I want to buy this! Do you think it would work on different skin tones? I'm like a medium tan tone.

Nice! We're NW right now, so luckily Venetian is closest and my fave. If you see a crazy blonde lady with glasses running around grabbing at everything - that's probably me.

Makeup experts, I need your help: I have a hard time creating a sharp look with lip liners. Usually that's a GOOD thing, but not always. Even the sharpest tip will come up looking too thick and blurry. Has anyone experienced this problem or does anyone know of any lip liners that give REALLY sharp lines so maybe they won't go so blurry on me when I don't want them to?

The one thing I want is the Give Me Some Lip set, and I'm not willing to deal with the insanity just to get a bag of samples.  If it's still in stock when the 4x starts, I'll order it.  If not, I'm clearly not meant to have it.  I don't *need* it, but I love mini lip products, so it gives me some hardcore grabby hands, so that is the deal I'm making with the universe.

I don't really want anything right now, but it's hard to pass up 4x points. Are there any must-haves that I should look into?

I haven't been to any of them... Is it worth a trip? I'm never really in any of the ares they are in so it most likely be a trip to just go there.

Yeah I'm holding out on my Sephora purchases til the event to get the points. I also have a 20% off at Ulta so I actually will probably spend more there. You only need to spend $35 at the Rouge event to get the goodies. And my money saved is worth more than points to me. I will still probably spend more than $35 at the event though. Unfortunately Ulta doesn't sell everything I use (they really need to up their image and get some more high end stuff in there).

Which Murad Eye Cream? I recently got a deluxe sample of their Advanced Active Radiance Serum and I am falling in love with it. So now I'm intrigued by their other products.

Has anyone actually received an email about the event yet? I'm signed up thanks to the link, but still no email. It seems pretty crazy to still not get an invite a week prior to the event. I feel bad for the Rouges who aren't on beauty forums.
The eye cream is Murad renewing eye cream

OMG.  I have seriously sampled almost everything available to sample.  I get a little bit of success from a couple products, but nothing worth the high dollar cost.  The only thing I've bought multiples of and still like is Skyn Iceland's eye gel patches and the eye brightening pen.  Although lately I think my skin changed and this pen isn't working as well as it used to for me.  My husband still loves it and stole from me last week, lol.

I got a TINY, and I stress tiny, tube of this stuff in my goody bag from the purchase after the cheek/lip class the other weekend.  I wasn't expecting anything from it to be honest.  I've never had much luck with Murad products that justify the costs.

I put it on at night before bed, and I woke up with a new set of eyes practically.  Even my husband noticed in bed before we got up.  I looked like I spent a week at a spa getting pampered, had no stress, and the dark shadows were hardly there anymore.

I like how it doesn't have a strong smell, just a faint one.  No irritation.  It doesn't migrate into the eyes like a lot of them do on me.  A little goes a long way.  It has been phenomenal for fine lines, stressed skin, and brightening.  It does moisturize, but I happen to have extremely dry eye area--so much so that nothing has helped that one bit.

Then, I got a sample foil of Bobbi Brown's extra eye cream, and oh boy... let's just say I've blown a nice chunk of change on eye creams recently.  *hangs head*

I tied them layered together, Murad first, BB on top.  Miracle!  My eyes have been so hydrated and younger looking.  I've finally found success.  I use the Murad in the AM, and the two combined at night for bed.  The BB cream also smells fantastic.  My skin is so sensitive to fragrances in products, especially my face.  I don't understand why so many eye creams come so heavily fragranced!

I haven't received any emails on the event yet either, but have already registered via the link.  I did get my confirmation email though.

I have an expensive face cream to return that isn't working, so I'm putting that money back into the store on the Murad eye cream (they better still have it in stock!), and then I want to check out the Marc Jacobs Florescent beige nail polish again.  I liked the online pictures, but wasn't impressed by the bottle in store.. I'm going to try it on my nails this time.  And then if they have them in stock, I'm picking up a few more Pearl Masks.

Do you mean blurry on the outside skin edge?  I usually have this same problem, especially on the edge of the right bottom lip (due to an old injury there).

The only thing I've found that fixes it most of the time, is to use one of those clear no-bleed liners thickly around my mouth first, then use colored liner on the lip.  The clear liner helps create a barrier stronger than your lip skin for the colored liner... It doesn't work 100% all the time, but it helps a lot.

So far I've used two of the lippies in the set. The Smashbox one (which is of course the full size) is a completely horrible color. If your lips have any natural color (as mine do), it basically looks like you smeared icing on your lips. You have to rub it in A LOT until it just looks clear-ish. Not a good one for me color-wise. Will say the formula was decent though. I felt like it was moisturizing for hours. Last night I wore the Bite one to dinner thanks to one of you lovely ladies saying it's actually a nice color and not as scary as it looks (I never would have even tried it otherwise). It's the first time I've worn red lipstick out of the house. I love it!!! Awesome color, will probably re-buy. Also love how creamy it feels on the lips.

Awesome! Now if they're out of the eye cream I want in store, I can just return my face cream back on my card instead of as store credit, and order it online.

Thanks!
If you can get the credit for your face cream back on your card, why not do that and get the 20% off on the eye cream at Ulta? 20% off is worth more than 4x points to me. Unfortunately ulta doesn't carry most of what I use.

I didn't even think of Ulta!  I do have a coupon I think I didn't throw away yet, but I need to look at the exp date.  I'm so used to Ulta either not having what I want, being out of stock, or the coupon not being valid on it..  I also hate how Ulta takes so long to get me my orders from online.

I should go look if they have it now actually, before I forget.

Thanks for the reminder!

Rouge Event.png

Anyone in the Bay Area wanna be my 'plus one' to the Rouge event August 3rd? I'm RSVP'ing for the Emeryville location. You don't have to come with me, but I can register a 'friend' to put on the guest list. PM me if you're interested.
Plus One spot is now gone!

Smile when applying the lip liner, it creates a much sharper line. Also I line my cupids bow, and the lower part of my lips, then go from the outer corner up towards one side of the cupids bow and so on, until I "connect all the lines".

Usually liners in a pencil form are much sharper than the retractable ones. I like the OCC liners, or mac :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
