usually, this is true. in december i found it to be exactly like that - the UT were fast but the one item (naked 3 palette) from MD took a long time to process and ship. lately tho, UT has been slower. most of my orders ship from UT.

That is very true. I wasn't invited either. I knew I was being "bad" when I called 3-4 times hoping to get someone who didn't know what they were doing and sign me up. It worked, but it wasn't a good thing to do.

I am willing to bet that Flash will not be making a return.... who knows though.

Yay for Divergent sets. They're so pretty, they're just not me. I'm still tempted for that big one though, I love the snap off side. I was playing with the new Revlon shadowlinks in the store. I could have bought all of them and just played for days.

Yeah I just got the big ones so far.. Waiting for the rest D; I'm really interested in the snap off sides too - those are suppose to be "TRANSFORMING" eyeshadows haha

Ooooh fancy!

All the blushes look to dark for me

and I don't think I'll ever need that much nude gloss but I love sets, themes, and things that belong together so things like this appeal to me whether I'll use them or not.

DING DING DING!  So, it looks like all 5 orders have been "unsuccessfully authorized", dang nab darn it!

I've hit the upper limit of small not profitable orders.  I'm sure the numbers for each person is different, based on your individual purchasing patterns.  Eitiher way, they must have deemed me unprofitable - in plain business terms.  Wonder if I place large orders of $25+ they'll let it go through?  Nahhh...  I really JUST DON'T NEED ANYTHING ELSE, last year's spend has put me over the top!!

Am a little bummed, because each of the 5 orders had the $2 sharpener, Buxome Mini, Katy's Queen and I think the lip gloss sampler!  The February package each had a Buxome and I was trying to stock up so the next couple of months might have them too!  It's such an excellent nude color (no gaudy reds up in AFG) and the price was right!

Am pretty certain that the determination is based on how much you've purchased.  I think if I go ahead and spend $10,000 on 50 Givenachy night creams, I'd be able to tap that $1 purchase until the cows come home.

FYI, these were orders w/o the gwp.  Just the sharpener and 3 sampels.  Would you believe that it's actually a relieve?  Now I can focus on bigger things like getting stuff in place for sugery and fighting the insurance stone-walling rather then constantly checking for ideal samples to place little orders with like a school girl with a crush.

Speaking of crushes- the Buxome Mudslide is BACK!

It won't let me quote you but grr about the orders even if it frees up time only because they can't give Rouge members a clear cut "this is your limit" kind of answer as to avoid this.

Also, for those of you who weren't getting your Beauty Insider emails (VIB, Rouge, whatever): How did you eventually resolve this? I wrote to them and they told me they reset and that I should start to get them in 10 days, but I know many of you went through the same thing. Did you eventually find a solution??  I never had a problem with mine until I received a strange email about my VIB status (even though I'm Rouge) on January 27th. Since then, I get the confirmation emails and the rest, but not the promotional emails. Until then: Girls who are VIB/Rouge, thank you so much for posting the codes you're getting!!
I have this same problem. I've emailed multiple times and each time the say they fixed it. I now receive a random email here and there but not as many as everyone else gets. I've given up and just rely on MUT for my info. The biggest downside though is I usually miss the popular codes that go fast. I hope they are able to fix yours.

They probably don't want to seem restrictive of discouraging by placing those boundries...  Plus I imagine it would be too complex and the limit would be on a slide.

I think the number of free orders that would make sense for Sephora to allow differes even with the same spending dollars.   For example given 2 individuals that have accumulated $1,500 dollars in spending, but the purchase patterns are very different:

Client 1: Mostly fragrances and face products that run $50 to $200 indiviudally.

Client 2: Mostly sale items that run $1 to $12 individually.

It would behoof Sephora to give both these individuals the same same ceiling in small purchases.  On the Client 1, Sephora probably banked 60% to 80% profit on the $1,500 and I'm certain substantially less profit on the second.

I bet if both started to place only $1 purchases, Client 2 would receive 'unautorhization' notices much faster then the first client.

My understanding of Flash is that it was and still is in Beta mode, so this is an offering that Sephora is testing and only rolled out to certain customers - random or not random none of us know- so Sephora can figure out if this is a worthwhile service to offer all of it customers. I don't believe that Sephora will offer this service permanently - it just seems unsustainable.

Not offering Flash to every customer doesn't change the underlying fact that Flash is a paid for product and free Rouge shipping is a perk. It sucks that not everyone had the chance to buy Flash (I think a better method would have been to send every customer and email and then limit signups to the first X number of customers),  there is different treatment between Flash and Rouge, and it certainly seems unfair, but we're not seeing all the numbers. Sephora is a business and while I'm sure it wants all of its customers to be happy, its only really caring about their bottom line.  Based on the amount of listings of samples I see for sale on eBay - like 20 of the same foil packets sold together - I can imagine that Sephora believes that those with Rouge status who are making a certain number of small dollar amount purchases are resellers.

I also got the Rouge through 2015 email and I think they have stopped sending me emails too!!!

Posted by nerdi /img/forum/go_quote.gif this happened to me a year or two ago. i called multiple times to have them add me back on, but it never worked. what worked was signing into my account online, and then changing the email for the account. i have been happily getting all my emails since then. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  good luck - i got this tip from someone else who had the same problem. i have no idea why their system drops some emails randomly and never allows them to be added back, but that seems to happen periodically. i have flash and last week it took awhile to process. shipping was done via ground even tho it's supposed to be 2 day (which is fine - after it shipped it got to me in 2 days anyway due to the proximity of the warehouse). i haven't placed multiple small orders tho - this year i've placed maybe only 2 orders, and both have been over 25.
Thank you for this solution! I'm off to change my email =)

I know what Flash is. I'm saying it was not available to everyone and considering there really has been no other discernible difference other than free shipping between VIB and Rouge considering VIB can use Rouge codes , free shipping is not a perk. It's now  a service I paid $650 for that Flash members got for $10-$25 and theirs is better. I have no doubt Flash will be phased out due to cost, that doesn't change the fact that it doesn't do well to annoy your top tier customers, in any business model.

Oh I'm sure people would have fits if they came out and said yea unlimited is not unlimited. I personally just like boundaries and clear cut rules, nothing against how they're handling it.

I agree with the wanting clear cut rules. Sephora is a monster in the makeup world and they have more then enough resources to figure what will benefit them, as well as encourage customers to spend. You can't offer free shipping on any order for Rouge/Flash and then change that to "you;ve made too many small orders". Just tell me what's what and I'll abide.

Can I have 2 positions?  While I understand them doing what they do, because I think it falls under ABC accounting principle (Activity Based Costing) I would like to have clear cut rules!!  Because I would have shaped my purchasing decisions differently.

I think a lot of people would have. I'm in the same position of understanding why they don't want to put a limit on it because to most of us I think it really is basically unlimited free shipping. We won't hit anywhere close to triggering their system. I think it should be laid out a little more like cell phone wording though. I have unlimited 3g. If I hit 2.5 gigs I'll be droppeed down a tier and at 10 I'll be flagged for further review. I think Sephora could word it in the terms so that people had some idea when they were doing unfavorable orders and they could ignore it and take a chance on order suspension or they could alter their behavior.

Saw this on the other Sephora thread yesterday.  VIBLOVER for VIB or VIBR to get a deluxe mini of Lancome lip lover balm. The e-mail also reminded of offers for VIB/VIBR to get access to the Divergent makeup, Sephora + Pantone Radiant Orchid lipstick, Caudalie Polyphenol Anti-Wrinkle Serum, Dr.Jart home peeling system, Maison Martin Margelia fragrance, etc.
I don't know about the promo code, but all the other offers were rouge access only (new products that rouge members can get before they are released to the general public)

Are you sure the orders aren't being approved?  Or are they just taking forever to ship them out?  I've had several orders in the last month that were all over 50$ take 3-5 days just to be processed, when they usually take 1-3 days since I've been Rouge. (I've never had an order not go through fine *knock wood* so I don't know what it looks like when an order isn't approved)
I wish I could say I wasn't sure, but this is what I get under "Order Detail"... Once again it was a small order of $2, where I selected 3 samples and a GWP of the iphone felt sleeve.  Sephora's probably letting the larger orders go through w/o obstacle? Just speculating, it's not a big deal.  I just placed 5 more orders for the $2 pencil sharpener, but with out the GWP, just thought the little sleeves would be useful for folks to store little bits of what ever important cards or photos out in AFG.  We'll see what happens :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />... If it's a no go, then it's a no go, I'll find inexpensive sharpners elsewhere.  It was just a neat little package of goodies that I could throw in the care package for very little dinero.
Formosa I know your intentions are golden, but I am not surprised that sephora stopped letting you make tons of small orders. You clearly made them all seperately so you could get the free samples. As we have seen from eBay, a ton of the other people who do the same are just trying to milk the system. Unfortunately, there is no way for sephora to know that you aren't just trying to turn a profit.
