Of course I have a sample of every single one of those fragrances in the scent4u code!

Also, getting 3x the points might, MIGHT be the only time it's worth it to pay the retailer markup on perfumes instead of going to a perfume discounter (I know I've said this a lot but really, $90 for 2.5oz of perfume vs $38 for 5oz for the same one! Insanity!). It's definitely worth it if you're dying to buy the BRAND new ones like Nirvana or the new Tory Burch. I would be more into it if their point perks were more awesome lately.

By the way, girls, don't forget to keep track of your points as they might increase or decrease so that when your 2x points for skincare items or 3x points for fragrances come in, you know you've gotten the right amount!

I really want to buy Rosabotanica but I should probably smell it first. Hahaha. I'm gonna wait until 3x points though.

Thought so, but you never know when they might start sending different codes to different shoppers (BI vs VIB vs Rouge)

I looked through the samples in each bag and I have to say that it's nice each one seems to have 2 of the newer fragrances, several of the usual suspects from the last year, but I have to admit I'm a little baffled by the choice to include a men's fragrance in each.

With so many men's cologne samples available I the last few months I guess they are hoping every Sephora shopper buys cologne for their man this Valentines Day! I'll be happy if they start toning it down on the man-centric samples by the end of the month...it's been a little out of hand.

Personally, each set has too many repeats of perfumes available in the last month or two as a free sample, deluxe perk or gift code for this to be tempting to me. For me, the best fragrances launched at Sephora in the last year are the Nest collection, which are almost never offered.

They've got some nice women's perfumes in the sample section now, including a Nest, and a sample Tarte blush card :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I know, finally! But I just placed a small order yesterday with some fairly mediocre samples...sigh. I would have much rather gotten that Tarte sample.

Speaking of... are there any good promo codes going on right now other than the merrymini (which is still active) and scent4u? I can't do cartrouge I guess since I already did the Nars one. I need a good promo! :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

It runs February 5-14. I can't wait, I've got some fragrances sitting in my cart already!
Me too. Cart is ready, so I'm sure everything will sell out between now and then. lol

There is a long list on the Sephora codes only thread that was updated this afternoon. Most are just ok, nothing too special in my opinion.

Yeah and I always check the list on Sephora's board, I just wanted to double-check and make sure there wasn't a multi-item code that had gotten past me.

I think we have gotten spoiled by all the sample bags from the holiday, because I was thinking the same thing yesterday! It never fails that they put out a "bag o'samples" code they day after I order. A little off Topic: has anyone ever had a product review NOT post on Sephora? I posted one a few weeks ago on an AmorePacific mask. I had a sample that I may or may not have gotten from Sephora or elsewhere. It was a mask you leave on overnight. I should have spot tested - I didn't. The next day I developed small acne looking bumps all over my face ( thankfully a Sunday when I had no plans) I wore no makeup and did the most gentle skin care regime I could to let my skin calm down. The following day my face was like itching and burning hives (2 days after mask) I went to the doctor who prescribed a cream and I took antihistamines. A few days later it all cleared up, I have normal, clear skin in general. The mask was the only new thing I used, had to be it. I rated the product one star and posted a review similar to this on Sephora, it never made it to the product page. I just wanted to warn people with potential skin sensitivities. Not sure if it was because it was a negative review or because they couldn't verify that I had purchased the item from Sephora. I've posted negative reviews before, no problem. Anyone have a similar experience?

Ended up going into Sephora today when my local Nordy's had run out of my brow pencil at the Anastasia counter. Thought I'd try the raved about Aqua Brow thinking there was no way I was going to like it, and immediately thought "Brow Wiz who!?"

I ended up not finding anything else I needed so figured I'd buy in store since I didn't want to wait to build up a cart of $50 for shipping/sample code lol but it's just not worth it. They didn't offer me any samples and when I asked she said I could get someone to make me something on the floor. I paid and on the way out decided I really did want to ask for a sample of something- saw someone who looked very bored and they she just looked at me, then finally said you should ask someone at the counter when you buy something.

I get it, the SF store is always busy, even when it's not that busy and people love asking for samples but c'mon. This is why people love you and you're not doing the best job lol. This is why I make it a point of getting stuff elsewhere lately or waiting till I can order online cause the in store people are generally stingy when I just want samples to see if I want to buy other stuff

They filter the reviews, but I don't know what they filter out exactly.  I've left positive and negative reviews for products bought at Sephora that have not made it up on the website review pages.

The latest one was negative, for the Sephora brand heart bath beads.  I should have read the ingredients first.  They suck, and I don't recommend anybody here buy them!

The first ingredient is soy bean oil, followed with mineral oil and they also have aluminum powder in them.  Aluminum is approved for external colorants in makeup products... but is not approved for internal use.  Bath water goes into internal cavities!

Anyways, they make skin itchy and they are really gross, who wants to sit in food grade oil, that isn't even good to eat in the first place! :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Sorry you had a bad reaction to the AmorePacific overnight mask.  Lots of people, including me, love it.  Maybe you're allergic to something in it, since you got hives?

I pretty much try to avoid shopping in my local Sephora store for about the same reasons.  I can hardly ever get help on the floor.  There may be one or two people helping customers, but the rest of the employees are clustered around the door or the register chit chatting or pretending to be busy.  You try to approach them and they seem to have a knack for getting their back turned and moving jus time for you not to reach them.  Can't get samples at the register and can't get help on the floor.  When I can get the one or two that are actually working with customers, they will make me decent samples if I ask.  But never is anything offered or suggested.  I pretty much stay at home and order online.  Although I find myself ordering more and more from ulta, because they seem to have large sample offer bonuses pretty regularly.

I think the SA sometimes forget that them physically being at Sephora is a JOB and that the products that they are ambassadors for have a HUGE mark-up based on prestige and costmer experience.  The products in Sephora are not priced like a drug-store precisely for that reason.  The extra $$$ Sephora charge is to create a superior customer experience both pre and post purchase.  Which is also why they have jobs.

Just think, if you were being paid $17 an hour to work in Sephora and your job is to introduce products, figure out what clients need and make testers (3 per customer upon each visit) would you be as rude?  I'd be providing the best customer service and sending everyone out of there with a smile.

Should an SA be not shy at providing shoddy customer experience, I wouldn't be shy about politely inquiring for their name either for the online customer experience survey that Sephora would like you to take after each Sephora purchase.

I really liked it and took a tester home with me!  The rose is fresh and modern, not powdery in a Victorian sitting room sort of a way.

Maybe go get a tester to make sure it works with your body chemistry?  I normally love Fresh but their new scent offered at Sephora's 3 sample selection leaves a sour, stale perfume nots on me.

yeah...  Especially think about the lifestyles of someone who would go in there and apply all make-up sans applicators.  Are they grabbing stranger's beers at bars as well at?
