I noticed that, too, Luna!
Here it is. Break out the popcorn and the very small, small violins: http://www.ripoffreport.com/irene-byron/seo-reputation-management/internet-internet-8075a.htm *I* feel like filing a rebuttal just because I don't like seeing MUT slandered like that (or Irene's personal name, and I didn't even have to know Irene existed to know Patty's story was bullticky), but hopefully Zadi or Irene or someone official will do it.I can't find it! Can someone link?

This woman gives me a headache. This is ridiculous. I bet people are coming across this thread and canceling. She is looking for some sort of way to perpetuate her scam. How sad. Where is DiorAdora anyway?
I would highly suggest to people who did purchase a box from RCB and who do feel ripped off to file a complaint against her on Rip Off Reports.Unfortunately Patricia, owner of Red Carpet Box, has her facts wrong.
- I am not an employee of Irene Byron. I am contracted with MakeupTalk.com (MUT) to manage the website (forums, groups, product reviews, galleries). My job on MUT is to find content to share with members, remove posts that violate our Terms of Service, create new threads, engage with members in posts among other things. Irene is employed by Huddler which is the Platform Partner of MakeupTalk. Her job is to scout companies to advertise on MUT.
- MUT does not remove posts just because members have negative opinions on a company. MUT stance is that members have the right to share their opinion so long as the opinion is not illegal. Patty was told by me that I will NOT remove the thread because she was unhappy that several members had negative experiences with her company. It would be like Rip Off Report removing someone's post because the company didn't like that someone was unhappy.
- My stance is/was that Red Carpet Box would NOT be a good fit (in terms of advertising on MUT) with MUT due to Patty's harassive threats towards members of MUT, Irene and myself (she called us blackmailers in a couple of emails). Due to the drama surrounding RCB the owner of the site (which is NOT Irene) stated to Irene that we would not accept advertising from RCB.
- I DID contact two companies (Colourbox & Shutterstock) whose images Patty was using without permission and without a license. A cease and desist was sent to Patty from those companies to remove their images. Patty CCed me that email and her response to it.
- Patty has continued to confuse me with a member of MUT who had purchased a box from RCB only to discover the items she received were discontinued and expired as well as potentially were counterfeit. One member was able to track down the EBay lot of the sunglasses Patty had sent out. Other members called Avon and the other companies whose products were sent out only to discover those items were long discontinued and had expired years ago.
- I have suggested to members who felt scammed by Patricia to request a refund and they have under Federal law to file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, the Florida State Attorney General's office as well as the State Attorney General's office in their state as well as file disputes with Paypal and/or their credit/debit card provider.
- I have not had any contact with Patricia since my initial email to her clarifying that the member she was harassing and claiming was me was not. As a result Patty sent me several harassive and vulgar filled emails. She has claimed to me via email and PM that she's a law student attending private law school and knows the law yet has plagiarized Ipsy (formerly MyGlam) About Us. As of 11/13/2012 the RCB About Us no longer is the plagiarized Ipsy version.
Unfortunately Patty's actions are clear. She is upset that MakeupTalk will not take down the negative reviews made by dissatisfied customers who felt ripped off by Red Carpet Box. The members of MUT who have purchased products from RCB were the ones who posted the information and photos of the products and were the ones who contacted companies such as Avon, Stila, Borghese and other companies.
If you have purchased a box from RCB I would highly suggest contacting the companies whose products you received to find out if the products are legitimate products that have not been discontinued and/or expired. Most recently RCB sent out to people who purchased a box items from Urban Decay that were discontinued in 2011 (Urban Decay's loose pigment shadow was discontinued in mid-2011 and last sold for $1) while the Urban Decay tattoos are on clearance on the UD site for $2. It's also not clear if RCB has permission to distribute these products as many companies do not authorize companies from distributing their products without permission.
It's also unclear if RCB has a business license in her city or in the state of Florida or has a reseller's license as required by the state of Florida's Department of Revenue. It is clear that the products RCB has sent out were purchased from 3rd party vendors and off of EBay.
If you feel that you were scammed by RCB you do have options.
- You can request a refund. If a refund is refused you can file a dispute with Paypal and/or your credit/debit card holder.
- You can file a complaint with the Florida State Attorney General's Office as well as the State Attorney General's Office in your state.
- You can file a complaint with the BBB.
- You can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
- You can file a small claims against her however you must do so in her jurisdiction.
- File a report on Rip Off Reports on your experience with RCB.
