Nancy, Dayna, Lilita, Ruby, Coromo and farris2- thank you for the kind words. Thanks, he's a bit better but he still has diarrhea. I brought him to a vietnamese restaurant last night and he at a good amount of pho soup, so I am at least glad that he's eating. He's been dehydrated, as I feared, but he doesn't like Pedialite so I keep giving him anything he wants to eat, and the doctor said that's okay. Thank you for the concern, I'm glad I can come here and read comforting words aside from makeup advice!

Lilita- that's where I erred, I was not able to get Angora samples. Abyssinian is weird yellow alright. I will try Angora samples next time. So have you found out your perfect shade for you? Is it really the 60-40 mix?

Can somebody also explain to me the Lynx mix pebo has been mentioning? What mix is that? TIA!

Glad your boy is feeling better. Do you know about "Smart Water"? I saw this in my local Trader Joes the other day - it's water with electrolytes in it, and tastes just like water. It's good that he is eating.

The "Lynx" mix is what Pebo named the "60/40 Naughty Angora + Frisky Persian mix", which we have since discovered, works on most of us asian ladies. I find that this proportion of yellow and peach works perfectly on me. I think Naughty Angora on it's own works too (ie, doesn't look weird) but I personally prefer a bit of Persian/peach added. Periwinkle, I am very glad to hear that your son was able to eat Pho soup! My girls don't like Pedialyte either, I tried a Gerber version of electrolytes and that went down better. Yes, you have to try the 60/40 Lynx Mix. I mixed up a batch this am and it is just perfect! I agree w/Lilita that the N. Angora would work on it's own, but I need some peach added too.

I ordered all three formulas in the "lynx" colors and then just one formula or so in the different colors I ordered like the korat and Ab. I figure the color will probably be best in the "lynx" and that will be the best to decide on formula.

Pebo, I really don't see a difference between FF and Pampered Puss (haven't tried the original) in terms of darkness. It is a little more opaque b/c it provides a little heavier coverage but I see no difference once it's on your skin. I think you should definitely get yourself a full size of the Naughty Angora-that seems to be a staple for us yellow girls! I am tempted to get the Top Cat Finisher and a concealer during this sale-25% off is hard to pass up!

ruby: yup, i wanna get my lynx mix...but i'm not sure which formula! ack! hence, i have to wait for my samples. (can you tell i'm not very patient? lol) i'm so tempted to just order my lynx mix in pampered. but w/ all your ff raves, i wonder if i might like ff better, ya know? i wonder if ff is layerable as are the pp formulas, or if it's just one or two layers, and you're good to go?

either way, i'll hopefuly get my samples this week. it seems like it always takes at least a week to get my goodies from meow.

i wish they'd do something for us 'mixing gals' to make it more conducive to order more than one formula. if i fall in love w/ ff, i'll have to get 4 tubs if i want pp and ff. $$ eeek! if i do, i def need to get it during the sale.

btw, got my lumi lips from lumiere, and love them! so i had to order more colors, of course..heehee no smell, no taste...yipeeee! ordered a couple monave based on yours and periwinkle's raves, too!

hi pebo - i agree with ruby there is no difference in color between the PP and FF. Well, the last time Meow had a sale I bought my two full tubs of PP (Frisky Persian, Naughty Angora). With this sale , I am getting the Angora and Persian in FF /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I really don't need four massive tubs of foundation (not to mention all the full sizes I have in other mmu brands) but well, what can ya do! I am telling myself that this is it. No more. i really need to stop. No more full sizes of foundation.

FF is layerable, and you would need less layers than PP to get the same coverage. So essentially you are using less product than if you used PP. Another thing you can do if you want more coverage and want to save money, is get Naughty Angora in PP and get Frisky Persian as a concealer. (both are the same price, though concealer comes in a 30g jar... which is still a good size). Yesterday, I wore a PP and concealer mix and was very impressed with the coverage and the fact that my skin didn't feel heavy at all. Just throwing this out there...

I am beat but have more work to do, taking my "lunch break" here on MuT. Promised the hubby I'd vac up the basement - at least the one room with the treadmill so that all the drywall dust wouldn't ruin it. Got that done and actually vacuumed the pool table and covered it. You'd think HE would think of that before doing all this dirty work but NOOOO! Did what will be my office and his weight room and I still have two more rooms to do! One is a disaster because it was where he did all the drywall cutting and he hasn't picked up all the scraps. The other has all the kids' outdoor "toys"- bikes, skateboards, skateboard ramps, plus garden tools and such. I am going to wait for the boys to get home because they took a skateboard apart and have all the bolts and stuff just thrown all over and I honestly don't feel like working that hard to vac. :smile:

Been so busy today I haven't put any makeup on!

Pebo, it is expensive at the beginning, but then you won't have to re-purchase for a long time afterward. But you're probably right to wait to get your formula figured out before you plunk down all that cash! It really depends on the coverage you're after, but FF still feels very light to me. I have been using 2 layers at most.

Lilita that is an excellent idea to do the PP and the concealer too-which concealer did you use and what was your mix? Also, it's not a 30 gram jar unfortunately. It's 20 gram for Purr-fect Cover and 10 gram for Undereye. But still good when you factor in the sale price. I am with you on the "no more full size foundations" too. I have enough to last an eternity.

Hoozey, I've been wondering where you've been today! Working your butt off in the basement doesn't sound like alot of fun, but you'll be glad in the end. I hope your samples arrive before the sale ends too. Keep us posted!

I did the same mix 60/40 Naughty Angora PP + Frisky persian concealer. (<-- which was the only concealer I had)

Has anybody tried Meow's other products? Finishing powder, blushes? I'd love reviews because I want to take advantage of the sale. TIA!

Sorry about your little boy being sick. I think there is a bug going around. My BF is sick with cold symptoms and I am getting it too. I spent most of yesterday in bed with a fever.

Gina, I used the same shade. They say that the corresponding concealer colors run a tad lighter but frankly I can't tell the difference...

Periwinkle, I am sorry that your little boy is still sick. I hope he gets over it soon. That is good that you are taking of yourself. I am glad that you found your match too. Another Asian woman posted that her match was N. Abyssinian and N. Chartruex. I have some Chartreux samples so I may mix that up just for the heck of it. I haven't used their finishing powder and wish I had gotten a sample of it, but I have sampled a few of their blushes-Infatuation, Orgasmic, Peddle Pink and Kitty Kat. I like neutral pinks and of those I think Orgasmic and Peddle Pink are my favorites. They go on nice and last all day, and I think those shades are all matte. I think Lilita has tried a couple others too. Take care!

Gina, I have heard people using the same shade or a shade lighter, guess it depends on what you like.
