Hoozey and sunny101,

Yeah, Lumiere is the ONLY foundation I don't apply wet! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I also noticed that all three formulas - VV, FF, and Luminesse don't mix well with water to do the swatch-chart thing. Which is good for my lazy days too :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hoozey, I hope you like Meow after reading all these raves!

Sunny101- If you are lighter than me, I think you want to try samples of Frisky Angora, Abyssinian, Chartreux, Persian, Mau. Be prepared that you MAY have to mix... Meow's FRISKY colors run lighter than how they look on screen so you could order NAUGHTY samples too, if you want to be safe. Sorry, I don't know what Light Warm VV looks like, but I am guessing FRISKY is better for you.

I know Angora looks very scary bright yellow but trust me when it's on your face it's not bad :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> HTH!

Screaming I done finally (maybe) hit the jackpot!

Thank you! I finally got it. I'm very pink/olive toned. This is what I probably need to try instead of neutrals and beiges.

Thanks for the Occicat tip cause it looks weird on the website.

Lilita, thanks so much, that's alot of help. Exactly what I wanted to know...cuz the Angora looks pretty scary (yellow!!). I think you're right, I'll try the Frisky, I think the Naughty would be a little dark for me. I was actually contemplating getting the one lighter than Frisky, I think it's Slinky or something like that...but bad idea...way too light I'm guessing...anyhoo, thanks so much!!

I have been putting samples on a white sheet of paper like Lilita, and something funny happend when I put Persian frisky concealor next to Persian foundation in Frisky. Wow, the concealor was so much more intense, it looked kind of dark too! I see why they say to buy a lighter shade of concealor.

Lilita and Ruby - I've been reading your exchanges over at the Meow Forum and that got me to to buy additional samples (aside from my FF Naughty and Frisky Persian, Abyssinian, and Chartreux):

Purrrfect Puss Foundation: 2-Frisky Persian Sample

Purrrfect Puss Foundation: 3-Naughty Persian Sample

Purrrfect Puss Foundation: 2-Frisky Chartreux Sample

Purrrfect Puss Foundation: 3-Naughty Chartreux Sample

Pampered Puss Foundation: 2-Frisky Chartreux Sample

Pampered Puss Foundation: 3-Naughty Chartreux Sample

Purrrfect Puss Foundation: 2-Frisky Angora Sample

Purrrfect Puss Foundation: 3-Naughty Angora Sample

Flawless Feline Foundation: 2-Frisky Angora Sample

Flawless Feline Foundation: 3-Naughty Angora Sample

Flawless Feline Foundation: 2-Frisky Chartreux Sample

Flawless Feline Foundation: 3-Naughty Chartreux Sample

As you can see I bought more Chartreux samples than I think I need, I even doubled orders (I ordered Chartreux a couple of weeks ago as well), because I have a feeling I will find my perfect match in this breed. I don't want to give up Chartreux!

Lilita, you look absolutely FLAWLESS in that Angora-Chartreux mix. I find it better than the Lynx mix.

sunny101 - you are welcome! let us know how it goes. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

gina - that's odd because on the website it says: (copy/paste) Our Concealers are the same color, but inherently a tad lighter than their corresponding foundation counterparts.. I must go doublecheck ...

periwinkle - LOL. Go girl! I have already placed my big 25% off order, but now I want to go back and order a full size of N.Chartreux in Purrfect Puss. And while I'm at it, I may add on some more blushes :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> And then I am DONE. Totally DONE. The more I look at myself in the mirror (discretely) I like this Angora-Chartreux mix MUCH BETTER than Lynx!

lilita: couldn't find your b/a w/ the angora/chatreux. but, i'd love to see it. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> hmmm...so you like the n. angora/n. chartreux better than the lynx mix? is it the same 3:2 ratio? is this your summer foundation shade you've been looking for? if so, good for you! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> you are so good with color.

hi pebo (before i take a bath and go off to bed...)

Here is the pic I posted on the Meow forum:

445133068_2137a1b83d_o.jpg

I personally think this is a better match than using Persian because Chartreux is less "red" than Persian. Much perkier result.

As for summer.... that's a whole different story! I am not *fully-tanned* yet so I really don't know what's going to work.

Hopefully with all my numerous tubs and jars and samples of foundation I'll be able to find a match or mix something up! (I also ordered a bunch of bronzers from Meow and Lumiere so there's that option too. Some ladies suggested mixing bronzer w foundation but the idea scares me a bit... LOL)

Lilita-

You're killing me... I didn't order Chartreux- OH NO. I got Persian, Angora, Aby, and Korat in varying shades.

I kind of miss BE- it was so easy Light in winter mix of Light and Tan in varying amounts to get me through all my "tan" stages. That's what I am looking for, one other color that will fulfill my tan issues from start to peak. I never mix ahead of time because it's too easy to just layer or mix in as I go. I'd be terrified to mess up my foundation with the bronzer!

Coromo-

How exciting that you may have found your color in Ocicat!! YEAH!

Same here! I wouldn't want to mess up my foundation! Even on its own, I have never used a bronzer before...

I am hoping that with Meow either the Chartreux or Persian will be that color I can add more of to 'darken' the mix, but I'm not sure yet. I think I am jumping too far ahead of myself...

Hoozey - Don't worry about not getting Chartreux samples because the "Lynx" mix (angora + persian) and the Chartreux mix are very very close. I think the difference is quite subtle. I'm just being ultra picky :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Lilita - Wow, you look purrrrfect. Now I have to go and double check which breeds I ordered.

How do you like the FP?

Ever look at an order and think, Huh, I don't remember choosing that color? Hopefully something out of the list will work.

thank you, memaize :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

This was the first time I used the FP - It feels really nice. Other than that I am not sure yet how it compares to other brands. But I went ahead and ordered a f/s anyway!

I am not going to share my list...

I have spent SO MUCH $$ on this sale!!! :icon_cry: bit embarrassed...

Memaize-

Wow, I am impressed with how many breeds you got. I hope you find a match. I am awaiting my samples and praying that the sale doesn't end before I try them. If it gets close, I am ordering some FF in the tubs for sure. I often can't remember all the stuff I order. Is it age or is it I am just shopping too much?

UPS truck went down the street--- my Jack Russell has an intense hate for the UPS truck and goes nuts every time. Then the Beagle goes bonkers and starts fighting with Jack. It's embarrassing!! This is part of the reason I love MMU--- it comes in the mail. :rotfl: Speaking of mail... there it is... didn't see any big padded envelopes or boxes. :frown: Course I wasn't really expecting any today either.

Lilita-

You are the Cat's MEOW in Meow!! Then again, you always look amazing!

At least you know you're spending money on good stuff that you love. It really sounds like Meow is your HG.

I tried FF N Abyssinian with N Chartreux today, I think I did a 60-40 mix as well. I think it worked!!!! I'm still waiting for my Angora though to decide which is better. I'll try to post pics later tonight. I knew it, Chartreux is indeed my breed. I'd have to try the straight F Chartreux tomorrow. Personally though I still prefer Monave, J.Lynne and LaurEss original formula in terms of finish and coverage, but it can't hurt to have many choices to choose from in the morning, right? That actually thrills me, choosing makeup, no matter how retarded that sounds.

Dayna: ooh, I love Jack Russels! My dad has a toy fox terrier which I named Pepper. He has a girlfriend who I named Petunia. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> They're so cute and they have a pup named PJ or Pepper Junior. Anyways, I mentioned that because they have the same temperament as Jack Russels which is my dream dog.

Lilita: that pic is your BEST blend so far. Bar none. Don't let that mix go!

memaize: I'd love to see your pics using Meow!

OT: I got a really big package from J.Lynne yesterday with samples of all minerals glows (hello Dayna!), 3 full size lipglazes, my full size foundation in 1.9, and 2 samples of lipglazes to give to a friend. Happy-happy joy-joy! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Aileen-

I have to go to J Lynne and buy a full size of the Bronze. I am also drooling over these intense e/s. :icon_colors:

My husband wanted the Jack Russell but he's too hyper for him... actually my hubby is a bad dog owner- he wants them to be reasonable like a human? As if THAT is reasonable? I love both the dogs but at times they are pains in the butt. The beagle got the police called on us for his barking when we were in NC! My fav dog is English bulldog (had one when I was about my daughter's age) so ugly they are cute, but I pretty much like any animal (except hamsters of course.) :dong: I am going to have to check back at Meow and see all the nuances of the breeds.

Lilita, I'm just about to place my Meow order and wanted to confirm a couple of things first with you, if you don't mind.

First, I was thinking of going with the full size Angora Frisky, I'm tired of trying samples...I like the big tubs now. Stupid, huh? Do you think if you just used the Angora Naughty, it wouldn't be your shade? I mean, would it be a close match at all?

I don't want to go through the "mad scientist" thing anymore either...I would love to find a shade and formula that I love.

Also, I noticed you've been speaking of the Chartreux and Persian...from what I understand they are not "yellow" undertones...how does that work for you?

I mean, as an Asian...are we limited to only the "yellow" or "warm" undertones? would a "neutral" not work for us? The reason I ask this is because I was using the Lumiere VV in Light Neutral a while back and thought it was not bad, but now I'm wondering if I was walking around looking like an idiot (face/neck, way off?)...thanks.:kopfkratz:

hi sunny101 - I'll try my best to answer...

I can wear Naughty Angora on it's own. It works but it's not perfect for me because I have some peach undertones. Persian is "peach" and Chartreux is "peach/yellow". So I mix Angora with one of these to get a more 'natural-looking' shade.

Re: NEUTRAL <-- I have never really understood what this color is! LOL I think "Neutral" varies from one company to another and there is no reason why it wouldn't work on Asian skin. We are all different :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

In some brands I've tried, neutral looks more like "pinky beige" or "peachy beige". In Meow, I think neutral/Siamese looks more like "straight beige", with minimal pink/peach... I could be wrong though, some of these colors are so similar. ... hard to tell the difference esp. because I am testing samples of the sheerest formula.

My chart of Meow colors (i copied/pasted this together from my master chart):

HTH!

Hoozey - You have dogs?! :rockwoot:I love flat-nosed doggies too, like the English bulldog, & Frenchies are so adorable. I have a foster/rescue Boston terrier who is turning 13 this month :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

sorry... couldn't resist sharing a pic.

Lilita, thanks so much..tons of help. Your chart is awesome!! Def gonna go with the Angora Frisky, although the Naughty doesn't look too much darker.

I'm placing an order with Lumiere too for the new Luminesse in Light Golden, sounds good so I'll give it a try. I think I also like the sheerer coverage, so I"ll go with the PP in Meow foundation. Thanks again, I'll let you guys know how I like the new Lumiere formula.:rockwoot:

The Meow looks great on you, Lilita. I just placed my order for the PP foundation in Angora Frisky and the Crystalline Cat Glow Powder...hope this is what I'm looking for regarding the "glowy" look.

How CUTE Dogs rule! Everyone talks about their kids and I want to chime in about my dogs because they are my babies! My youngest-Pickles is a Bichon Frise, HATES the UPS man with a passion! She just started this thing where she bites the boxes when I bring them in - I guess it's transferene- she has problems. Ok enough of that.

Lilita, don't be embarrassed - it's 25%! and you know & use the brand. Sounds like a pretty smart purchase to me. Like Hoozey, I just hope that if I like the brand that the sale lasts long enough to go full size. Going by your pic, I'm sure I'll love it.
