Lilita-

The more I look at your chart the more I think I am going to be either straight Aby or Angora/Korat. I am not so much peach undertones. I may not need the Char. at all.

Yep. I have dogs. 3 kids, 2 dogs and 1 hubby. They keep me busy. I'll have to post pictures of Jack and Sully sometime. Your "pup" is adorable. How long have you fostered it?

Hi Hoozey -

Well if you ever want me to send you a sample of Chartreux, remember I have more than enough! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

That's a BIG FAMILY you have there! Jazzy is only one dog but she is a handful... she has lots of medical issues, a brain tumor, is a bossy and feisty old lady, but I absolutely adore her. I've had her since last August... I was supposed to foster her temporarily (for Bostonbuddies.com) until someone adopted her but nobody wanted an old sick dog I guess :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> , so the rescue group asked me if I would foster her permanently and I said yes. She is such a sweetheart. Sad thing is that she may only have a couple of months left.

Memaize - yes, i keep reminding myself about the 25% :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I hope you like Meow too!

Ditto for me and a friend. The chart really shows Aby in a totally different shade from the website.

Your charts are wonderful Lilita

Well I have been missing you ladies today! I was out running errands and getting a hair cut, only to come home and find 2 police cars and a big old fire truck 2 houses away from mine. I had to detour around and park up the street but at least I could get into my house! We had a huge thunderstorm early this am and a transformer/insulator on the utility pole at the house next door to mine blew and was on fire! Needless to say we were w/out electricity all day and so no computer access (I could have signed on for a little while w/my battery but didn't). We finally got it back and so here I am! I haven't placed my order yet, but will probably tomorrow and it will not be cheap! Lilita, don't feel bad, just think how long those tubs will last! Periwinkle I am glad that you found your mix too. Thanks to L's charts we are now all becoming Meow experts. Hoozey, I am sure you will find your color out of all those samples. Memaize and Sunny, your orders sound great too! I hope I didn't leave anyone out.

thanks, I know, I can't wait for my Meow order to arrive...really I'm just too excited. Too bad they're closed for a little while though, I'm hoping that the Glow Powder is awesome...

Sunny I really hope you like it too. It's so hard to wait for these orders, isn't it??!!

Wondering where you were Ruby. We got a whopper of a storm last night- daughter's track meet was almost done- 2 events when things started looking quite ominous. Coach still ran the 2-mile which takes about 15 minutes if boys and girls run together and my daughter was supposed to run the last event 4 x 400 relay. They didn't run the relay but geez- I know I would have preferred the extra 15 minutes to drive home and feel safe.

Hoozey, we must have gotten what you got last night. Yikes, thunder and lightning at 5am I could do w/out. Glad that you got the track meet in and got home safely. Here's to better days ahead. And today made me realize how dependent on electricity we are-can't imagine living w/out it.

Yeah on the electric thing. Our first house had a cistern and so even water depended on the electric pump. So glad I have had city water since. Can't wait to try FF, Ruby. I am giddy with excitement.

lilita: one word, "BEAUTIFUL". nuf said. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

hoozey: i hope we get our samples before the sale ends! i wanna try frisky chartreux w/ the angora to see how it looks. i thought it might work as a base for a blend, but i'm so crummy with colors, i couldn't quite figure it out. good 'ol lilita , "the color mixer"! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> yay! i'm gonna play w/ my n.chartreux w/ the n angora again and see. i did try that once a while back, but i think my proportions were off.

sunny: just wanted to share with you, in case it might be helpful :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> i'm asian, and have similar coloring as lilita, ruby and hoozey...and i found the l/m golden in luminesse, to be a teensy bit darker than l/m golden in the vv formula. i'm currently waiting on the light golden in luminesse to compare.

Pebo, can't wait to hear what you think about the light golden in luminesse. I was going to order it but some of the girls didn't think too highly of the new formula so I just went with the Meow instead. I still want to order the Luminesse but I'll wait to hear your opinion first, let me know what you think please!!

sunny: will do! i did use the luminesse today in l/m golden. the color wasn't too terribly off.. but "something about it" was a bit off. i think i prob put too much product on for starters...and by the end of the day it felt a little 'icky'. i don't remember that being much of an issue w/ the vv formula (although, that gave me some bumpies :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />. i'm gonna retry it again, tho). we'll see. so far, i'm not too wow-ed by luminesse. maybe when i try it in light golden, i might get a better read on it. will keep ya posted.

still waiting on my meow samples. hope they get here soon!

good luck!

Pebo and Sunny, I got samples of Lumi in L-M Gold and L Gold. The L-M gold is too dark for me right now, the L Gold is ok, but like Pebo says, something is "off". It is not my favorite. I actually don't think they look golden at all, especially compared to my L-M goldens in FF and VV. Pebo, good luck w/your continued Meow mixing! I am still playing around w/proportions of N. Angora and the Chartreux's. I'm starting to feel like a scientist!

Ruby-

I think the Goldens in Lumi are more brown/tan than the VV or FF goldens. When I look at them they look like a mix of Radiant Gold Lauress and Summer Tan which is brown/peach IMO.

Did a new signature and added my pooches... Sully is the beagle (he's almost 3) and Jack (Jack Russell) he's 5 1/2. Right now Sully is howling... must be another dog around- he doesn't bark at people. Driving me crazy.

Those Lumis... I found them really hard to do color swatches with! They don't mix well with water, and all the colors (LM warm, golden, beige, whatever) all look like the same color (olivey-brown) on white paper.

Pebo & Sunny - the "LM Golden" works on me, but prob. because I'm darker than you ladies right now. I don't mind the Luminesse formula... don't dislike it as much as other ladies, but I wouldn't consider it a fave. I like how it feels - like supple natural skin (not drying or heavy at all) - unfortunately the coverage isn't very good even when I add extra layers. The other night I had to touch up several times around my nose and cheeks.

Hoozey - Love the sig!!! I have a thing for beagles too, and Sully is so cute! So is Jack, What a perfect photo of them both. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Lilita-

I don't think any of the Lumiere formula's mix well with water to do the chart but I am OK with that because FF works well on my face at least. Sully was the runt and he is adorable because he still has that puppy look. (He was not this cut as a pup- I mean bug-eyed and pitiful. We took him because my husband figured no one else would get such a pathetic looking pup.) Jack attacks the UPS guy (and any man that comes to the door. My little protector.)

Pebo, I was gonna wait to hear what you thought about the light golden, but couldn't wait, so I just went ahead and ordered my samples in light neutral, light golden, light warm, innocence/AOFC, Sparkle Blue e/s, and silk dust/sheer. I can't wait for my mailman to bring the goodies...my b/f was saying the other day that he feels like I'm having a love affair with my mailman. First thing in the morning, before I want to do anything else, it's "check the mail"...hope it doesn't start to cause problems soon!! Just can't help myself...receiving the little stuff in the mail is so addictive!!!:tocktock:

I'm trying not to think about how long it will be till the Meow order gets here!

I'm very annoyed with Lumiere.....the shades should not be that different from one formula to another. I feel like I just wasted money ordering the Lumi and FF in the VV shades that worked.

Which Ocicat did you get? Did you get the Frisky or Naughty or something else? And what formula? The Flawless Feline or the others?

I have very similar coloring to you I think so any advice is appreciated.

hoozey - I am wearing Lumiere FF (LM Golden) today! Color is a bit pale on me right now, but not bad. I can understand now why this is your HG. I love the VV formula but this feels SO MUCH nicer... really smooth and soft and not as 'intense' as the VV. I must hand it to Kim - all her foundation formulas all feel so moisturizing and great for pores!

sunny - LOL on the mailman. I work from home so I can hear him arriving every afternoon. I always rush out the door (and my dog follows) and we're both at his feet full of hope and expectation, like we're going to die if he doesn't give us any mail.

memaize - well, if it's any consolation... I find the FF shades to be same as the VV shades. (Still sorting through my samples)
