Possibly odd question but I'm still new to a lot of this stuff.... Does Ulta make samples for you like Sephora will?   I just worked up the nerve to ask for samples at Sephora last weekend.  I've never been to an Ulta before but I really want to try some stuff that is exclusive to them.
I haven't asked them to make me any but the other day when I made a purchase they put 3 free samples in my bag. So I wonder if they are trying to be more like sephora?

Ladies that are waiting for NUXE samples.......I re-emailed them nicely asking when I could expect my samples and then they were finally sent. I waited like a month before asking, but that is prob your best bet.

I only made one request for samples.  I received the big skin care and hair care trial packs they have been sending to everyone, then about a week or so later I received the trial kits again, and then the other day, I received them for a 3rd time.  I'm guessing its a mistake or computer glitch or something.  I'm pleased as punch though.  I love their products!

I received 2 packages from Aubrey Organics too.  The first package contained a nice selection of hair care products.  I really liked what they sent me, so I sent them an email to thank them for the samples and told them how much I liked the products.  A couple of weeks later I received a package of skin care products.
That's cool! Yeah, I love their hair masque! There are still a few giant bottles at my TJ Maxx and I'm thinking about going back and buying one.

I might have to give this a try!

Good to know.  I've been waiting for what seems like a long time.  Thanks for the suggestion.

I received foundation makeup and lipstick samples from Rain cosmetics today.  I tested one of the foundations on my hand, and I think I'm going to really like this.  I usually use a BB cream with an Estee Lauder powder foundation applied very lightly with a brush over it (basically I use it like a powder and not a heavier application with the sponge/puff like the directions say).  I like the way the Rain just kind of goes right into my skin, and doesn't just sit on top like a lot of foundations tend to do on me.

I looked at the Rain Cosmetics website.  The packaging of the products looks nice.  I'm a sucker for pretty packaging!

Rain Cosmetics is another brand that I had never heard of until I started reading this forum.

It took me a while to ask for samples in Sephora too.  I go to several different Sephora's and they all seem to really like giving out samples.  I'm sure it increases their sales quite a bit.  I also finally asked for help in applying some products.  The woman was super nice and very helpful and gave me a little lesson right on the spot. She showed me how to apply foundation with a brush so it looks more natural, and then showed me how to contour.  I picked up some great tips from her and it was fun!  I was also going out that night, so had a nice professionally done face as well!

I'm almost afraid to look at the price too. I got it in my bday gift from sephora. I have like 8 mini mascaras so I'm refraining from buying more too.
I purchased a standard trial sise of the Benefit mascara at Macy's for 10.00.  The trial size mascaras usually last me a couple months, so it was well worth the 10 bucks.  I had a bad experience with an older mascara once, so I ditch them after a couple months anyway.  I just purchase the trial sizes now.

Has anyone gotten samples sent via UPS? I have a package coming tomorrow UPS but I don't know what it is.

And I don't think it is an Allure winning.

Thanks!

Actifirm and Molton Brown came UPS for me. If you click on the tracking number in the My UPS email and login to their site, it will tell you who it is coming from.

Answering someone's question about Ulta sampling stuff into jars like Sephora--no they don't. I work at ulta...we don't have any of those empty containers and we don't sample. Sometimes in the salon, the esthetician will maybe give some face product in one of her little cups but that's it. IF your Ulta has a Lancôme or Clinique counter, a lot of times they will sample foundations and stuff out. Lancôme gets little samples to give out, little eye creams, mini lipsticks or mascara, mini face primers etc. they are definitely deluxe sized As far as asking for samples at ulta when you check out--I'd ask. Usually the things we get are GWP's. But a LOT of the time we have extra from an old ad ( for example, people who were buying benefit products for the past couple months, I was giving them a benefit makeup bag, because we had 50 left and it wasn't a current gwp) If your stores are anything like mine. Sometimes we are sent fragrance samples (the easiest thing to get if we have any), and sometimes we are sent random things that don't have a barcode. These are the things I give out--if someone asks me for samples they are usually gonna get fragrance, maybe a small cleanser and any other packets we have (murad) especially. Again, I don't know how other ultas are, I know a lot of cashiers can be very stingy for some reason

The thing that came from UPS was Kerastase. I have some stuff from No. 4 coming tomorrow. I'm excited!! I wanted to try them and did not get it in my birchbox.

I received some very nice samples from MAKE cosmetics today.  They sent me a big sample of eye make remover (1 oz), a pretty little rose colored lipstick, a generous sample of face primer with SPF 30, and a powder eye shadow in the Granite shade.  Its really pretty, and the little compact it comes in is adorable.  I think its the sample Birchbox had not too long ago.

I was surprised by what MAKE sent because the in the email they sent, it stated that they would send me a "packet", so I was expecting a foil packet, not a packet of samples of several products!   I'm very excited to try this brand!

I didn't know some Ulta stores had Clinique or Lancôme counters.

It must be tough working at Ulta and not spending your paycheck before you even get it.   I would be a very poor girl if I worked at Ulta!

Haha it does suck! We just recently got rid of most of our clearance, which saves me because some of the stuff was SO good and cheap! I've gotten a wigo flat iron for $10, opi polishes for just a couple dollars.....you get ur discount on top of clearance! 40% off high end cosmetics duringg Christmas. Now I'm working for Clinique so im very excited!

I got my Number 4 samples on Friday. They sent out some great size samples, and lots of them too!

I received a really nice email back from Number 4 today telling me that they are going to send me some samples. I'm looking forward to getting it in the mail!

Rosemira Organics! Such a great lady to talk to. I'm so excited to try these out!!

Wow! I got a yes from 100% Pure in March, then I saw some posts that they were saying they ran out of samples. This showed up today!! So happy to try the eye cream finally, it smells really good and I love how quick it absorbs.
