What companies have you gotten samples from?

I just received a bag of "samples" from Acure Organics. I say "samples" because they gave me 2 full size products (sensitive facial cream, and eye cream) plus 2 little bottles of marula oil. The marula oil are samples, but they are generous samples. I emailed customer service asking for advice and samples. I already use their exfoliator and argan oil, both of which I love. The esthetician wrote me a very long and detailed email with a recommended list of products to use day, night, and weekly. Today, I received the products. Wow, so generous. I wrote a thank you email and plan to continue to correspond with her. Seriously shocked by how generous they were with advice and products. 

How long did it take to get the samples, because they are sending me some too?

That's pretty sweet! I received an envelope with some one-time use products, but no instructions. I'm ok with that,though as I have received several samples to get through. I'm still looking for that HG skin care.

I also had a great experience withtheir customer service and my samples came within the same week I first wrote. i tell the reps honestly what my concerns are and what kind of products i am looking for and usually get great samples I can use. With the envelope from Acure I noticed it smelled really good when I opened it

I emailed Perfekt today about samples and I was told that they sell them on their website for $1.50 each. I went onto the site and looked, but I didn't see them.

I stopped in at Neiman Marcus while at the mall today and scored a deluxe Crème de La Mer, a La Mer Regenerating serum and the sales woman made me a generous La Mer treatment foundation makeup sample.  I've been dying to try La Mer, but seriously hope I don't love it!  I also got a few samples from Lush and Clarins.

Got my Jane Iredale samples today! I'm very impressed with what they sent and how quickly I got them! I emailed them on Friday and a little package arrived this morning. I got a foil packet of the Glow Time Full Coverage BB Cream, mini tube of PureLash Extender & Conditioner, a .1 fl oz tube of Longest Lash Mascara, mini tube of Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain and a mini tube Just Kissed Lip Plumper!

And yesterday I got my Molton Brown samples! I also emailed them last Friday. They forgot one of my samples though...I requested two for me and two for my man. They only sent me one of the two I asked for myself. Wah! I hate to email them about it b/c you know...it's not like I paid for the sample. The sample they sent me for myself smells lovely though!

Just waiting for my Archipelago samples now...

General question: When you all email companies requesting samples, do you request something in particular or do you just generally ask for samples they're willing to provide? Or does it kind of just depend on what company you're reaching out to?

For me it depends on if I am interested in something specific. With Jane Iredale I was interested in foundation, so I asked about those. Skincare companies I usually give my type and issues and ask for recommendations from their line.

Archipelago sent me 4 good size samples of hand cream in 4 different scents - oat milk, brown sugar & vanilla, sugared mango, and pomegranate.  I also received samples from Red Flower today.

EDIT:  I just opened the Archipelago Brown Sugar & Vanilla hand cream.  It smells so good - its making me crave cupcakes!

That's a lot of loot!  I just got 4 packets from Dr. Hauschka.  I've seen the tins with the face products and also one with body products at my Whole Foods.  I think they sell for around 20.00.

I sentam email describing my hair concerns and asked if restore would be right for me or the stop frizz. She sent me both lines and the prime style extender.
