Ugh - I've been having an internal debate about making order.  There is nothing critical I am in need of - it would just be stuff to stock up on.  But I love the idea of 4x's the points...and now a freebie bag.

Trying to save $ for the amazeball palettes that Nars is releasing next month...

We'll see what happens tomorrow, lol.

porefessional isn't that great as a primer but it REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY takes care of pores. my pore issues are absolutely minimal, but i used it on a friend who struggles with large pores/acne and it did wonders for her. if you've got problems with pores/acne, this will really smooth them out. it also helps me because i have significantly dry skin and i always use argan oil now and a super heavy moisturizer. oil isn't good for makeup to sit on, but i use this before my primer. i am hugely obsessed with the new benefit stay flawless primer. it's solid and can feel a bit heavy if you don't apply it really lightly. i haven't had a face primer that really helps my makeup last; that's why i said porefessional isn't that great a primer.... i put porefessional all over for the smoothing, mattifying finish and then the stayflawless glides super easily over it in places i want it most (cheek bones, nose, chin, upper lip). Besides just locking stuff down, stay flawless also provides a jelly-like feel to my under eye area for concealer. because my skin is dry, i have a lot of issues with multiple concealers caking up there, and this takes care of it.

YES! i've always thought nars eyeshadows were pretty meh, and honestly i find that true with a lot of their products (definitely not the best lip products, and the eye crayons are the biggest waste of money on makeup) i got the 'and god created the woman' palette and i'm OBSESSED.

hint: if you want this palette, you need to order it now... it's disappearing from shelves in actual sephoras (my friend picked it up this past week but luckily they still had it in the back before shipping it back to the company)

i will be VIB rouge tomorrow! so excited

Actually, I am pretty much in the same boat. About 40 minutes to my Chattanooga store and 2-3 hours away from the larger market of Atlanta where events are more likely to take place. That said, I have the feeling most Rouge members would probably prefer to receive freebie surprise gifts than event invites, no matter where they live. Not all, of course. Some people could just adore going to live events. But most of us love freebies. Hence, what I was getting at is that they should treat people equally--send freebies to everyone, let everyone participate in sales, and invite everyone to the events. Whether someone chooses to go to an event or not should be their own decision, not Sephora's, as long as they are Rouge qualified.

There are 5 Sephoras within half an hour of me and I definetly prefer freebie surprises to events, I don't do any shopping at the physical stores at all and really need to play my 'non-sitting' time by ear, have disc issues that does not allow me to carry anything heavier then half a can of soda (which is wallet, keys, cell phone and one lightest of lip product) I think things should be even all around as well.

I hope that offereings will not be predicated to one's distance from a Sephora.  Distance can not predict or dictate a consumer's preference towards events, sales or freebies... or more importantly from the marketing perspective purchasing behavior, at all, not even the slightest.  The individual should decide on what they'd like to do, a happy consumer is one that will come back and spend more money.

I finally made VIB Rouge today!! I went to a free standing store to get a YSL lipstick in a color that was sold out online (#3 beige ultimate) and got the Ariel compact mirror as well an the vib rouge welcome kit.. I was kind of shocked to see that they had a decent amount of the ariel collection in stock considering how popular they are. Now I have to sit and wait for my account to update before I make another purchase for free shipping and the vib celebration bag. I wish the site wasn't so slow at updating your status. Fingers crossed that it updates some time before the end of the day tomorrow.

i love ysl lipstick's and that's one of my favorites! my friend just got vib rouge and it can take up to a week to update. i bet if you call you can place the order with the vib bag and get free shipping; they'll see you are vib rouge.

Already placed my order. very excited!
ME too!! I'm like "I can't add this stupid bag to my cart!". if you ask a rep on FB, they'll tell you to just add it to your cart. So frustrating.

The code worked and I placed my order.

Thanks again. Whew. Now i can get on with my Friday.

So close to rouge... so far from another paycheck...

lol, I just keep telling myself "remember there are still 4 more months for new things to come out"

I ordered the VIB bag, with Naked Basics and the lip kit.

will be swapping glitzy, since I already have and love that color.

I love Glitzy, too!  I am happy to have a backup. Such a great color for late summer/fall.

am i the only one who thinks it's pretty crappy that it seems to have gone from adding it to your bag to a code? it's like they give you samples but no you can't have the regular ones... i know it's a good bag and they don't HAVE to give anything but a company that has high-spending customers ought to make that happy. i could just as easily shop the brand sites rather than sephora.

Well, I think I've successfully talked myself from the buying ledge... 4x's the points is nice but...not really critical. Plus, the Sephora version of the bag is meh to me - if I needed something I wouldn't turn my nose but I don't.  Now the JCP version, I'd probably make a purchase but no JCP's near me.

I'd rather save $ and buy the two Nars blush palette coming out next month!  And lord knows Christmas is coming and the holiday events with straight 15-20% off is coming before we know it...
