what exactly does someone buy an atomizer for? i mean i get you could put fragrance in there, toner, brush cleaner.. i just don't get why lol. even for traveling, i'm sure most people own a rollerball or less than two ounce size of many things. i can imagine most people don't travel enough for it to be worth buying atomizers over a few cheaper things or just carrying limited supplies they already have in small sizes.
Not everything is available in a rollerball, and some people already bought a large bottle of something that they would rather just decant into an atomizer than *also* buy a rollerball.  And some of us have bad (*smash*) histories with rollerballs.  They're not always super sturdy, as that woman on the bus a couple of months ago who dropped a can of pop on her rollerball of whatever that *stench* was can tell you.  Atomizers can be much less prone to breaking.  I used to have one in a metal case that was virtually indestructible.  And some people prefer to apply fragrance via spray rather than rollerball.  The mist from a spray will cling to your clothes/hair (and trying to scent your hair with a rollerball can be completely not worth the effort), and that's the whole point for some people.  It's just a matter of what works for each individual person.  And you don't need to travel to want an atomizer.  You could be going out for drinks after work.

I use mine for samples that don't have a spray top. I am kind of clumsy and if I drop the atomotizer, I'm not going to spill it everywhere like I do with the vial. ETA: like the poster mentioned above, I also don't like applying with a rollerball.

how do you get a rollerball scent into an atomizer? actually, any perfume. the tops don't screw off on any of mine. they should just make rollerballs purse sprays. aside from fumbling, that would take care of a lot of it.

I couldn't agree more.  Every time I get a new fragrance I also buy an atomizer to dispense some of it in to.  It beats buying a rollerball in addition to the fragrance and I personally prefer to apply a fragrance with a spray than with a rollerball (although I do have a small collection of rollerballs too).  Also I like to keep my current fragrance with me in my purse, so for me atomizers are great

A lot of atomizers come with a little funnel.  The small end of the funnel is placed in to the atomizer and then you spray the perfume (or whatever it is you would like to get into the atomizer) in to the top (larger) end of of the funnel and the product drains inside the atomizer.  It's a quick and easy process

I use tweezers to pop out the little ball.

Is it really that easy? Off to try this out...

Heads up, there's a bonus beauty bag that's being given out this week. I believe it's supposed to be given out at Sephoras and Sephoras in JCP Friday through Sunday, but there are a couple of people reporting that their stores have already started giving them out. It's also online, but it's not live yet: http://www.sephora.com/product/productDetail.jsp?skuId=1527464&productId=P381936
Thanks for posting this!  I love Sephora beauty bags, but I may pass on this one.  The samples itself aren't tempting - I have received 2 of them today in a different bag.  I may change my mind based on the makeup bag itself - that I can never get tired of! :)

I agree, those samples are almost always in their grab bag promotions. I'm not even tempted, but if the bag is cute/useful, I might reconsider. It's a nice perk if those samples are new to some. I'm a fan of both the Buxom and L'Occitane cream, but definitely don't need any more. Wish they'd bring something new into the mix.

I'm pretty excited about the Porefessional because I'm probably the only person on Makeuptalk that's never tried it before and the l'Occitane hand cream because I can't have enough of them!

But, I did hear that the Sephora at JCP's have completely different VIB clutches and you may like that one better.

Someone on BT posted one with a Murad moisturizer and Make Up for Ever lipstick: http://community.sephora.com/t5/VIB/Buy-now-or-wait/m-p/607789#U607789

I'd call them and straighten it out with the CS.  I had something similar happen and I called CS, they looked up the last two purchases, totaled it and manually changed my status over the phone.   I wouldn't wait much more then until tomorrow morning (unless you don't mind), with the bonus week going, their people and systems are going to be busy, maybe that's why you experienced the wonky numbers...

Luckily my status must have updated over night, I'm now showing as VIB Rouge. Yay!

I made one order for the drybar detangler and round brush, because I don't need any product, but now I will definitely be ordering another once the bags are released online.. And I have a 25 dollar in store giftcard, +10 to get another bag hopefuly SiJP (if they take the facebook/sephora giftcards)

Does anyone know when the bags will be released?? I can't wait to get my hands on one!

Actually, I am pretty much in the same boat. About 40 minutes to my Chattanooga store and 2-3 hours away from the larger market of Atlanta where events are more likely to take place. That said, I have the feeling most Rouge members would probably prefer to receive freebie surprise gifts than event invites, no matter where they live. Not all, of course. Some people could just adore going to live events. But most of us love freebies. Hence, what I was getting at is that they should treat people equally--send freebies to everyone, let everyone participate in sales, and invite everyone to the events. Whether someone chooses to go to an event or not should be their own decision, not Sephora's, as long as they are Rouge qualified.

Nope! I've been wanting to try a sample of it too. I got one of those card samples, but it was so laughably, unusable due to its tiny size that I didn't bother trying. I would LOVE the porefessional. Buxom is always welcome in my book (though I do have LOTS of it and 90% was obtained as a freebie). I have a mini Laura Mercier primer, but I wouldn't mind another, lol! And the First Aid Beauty cleanser? It is pretty good. I also have a mini of it I got from Little Black Bag. About to run out. I'd love another one! I did place all orders I intended to place, BUT, this might just tempt me into placing one more. But that's it. I have to stop somewhere, lol!

I called all my surrounding stores, and they said the bags will be available from (tomorrow) Friday through the 18th!
