Ignore my previous post about not knowing anything about the sale....So I just got my invitation in the mail to the Sephora sale event on 11/5.  Looks like the 20% off is for both VIB and VIB Rouge.

Looks like you won't be able to shop online until 11/6.  The online code will be GIFTROUGE, can be used multiple times.

Included in my mailer is a 20% off code to give to someone, appears to be a unique code, can be used once.  I'll probably offer this up on the Sephora discussion thread, I can't think of anyone IRL who would be interested.

Just realized that I will be on a business trip then. Hmmm...guess I'll have to figure out an online order.

Yeah mine showed up last night. Le husband said he'd come with me to the sale as an anniversary gift (LOLZ, he knows me so well)....but I'm still on the fence with it.

A huge TY to the person who posted the VR rouge code. I had gotten the Amore Pacific code and didn't even know there were others until I checked here. It was just a super adorable code and I love it so much!

It's 0.24oz, a little more than 2/3 of the rollerball.

Oh man. Someone on here was nice enough to give me a F&F code and I just made rouge. Even though I'd been planning this purchase for literally months it's still making me hyperventilate a bit that I've now spent that much at Sephora. Someone please reassure me this doesn't make me a terrible person.

EDIT: My momentary panic subsided when I realized this means TINY LIPSTICK. I guess it's really not a mystery at all how I made it here in the first place. If anyone needs me I'll be over here gleefully flinging things into and out of my online cart so I can play with the Rouge codes.

When I called to RSVP to the Rouge event, the store said they were actually going to kick out customers at 6:30 and it will be a closed event for Rouge!  They said this is the first time they are doing this.

If you're a terrible person then I must be downright evil.  I have over 10,000 points in my one account.

I am going on a business trip on the 6th, so I have to go to the store quick and then leave to finish packing for sure. (last minute packer here.. totally guilty lol)

I'm going solo = although I might run into @@tweakabell!  I won't stalk you though...LOL!!  I was going to call around and find out what brand reps are going to be at each location...that might make me change my mind which location I end up at.

I was gonna go alone, but every time I do that, i feel like they look at me weird.

I rather have my mom around haha... idk she doesn't even like makeup all that much. She only wears liner and mascara.

Just look for a 6'4" man herding a giant 7yo while telling a fat woman to buy everything!

I like going solo. Although a friend from work (also rouge) is going to the same event so I will likely see her there. But none of my friends are interested in makeup, and my fiancé has a limit on what he is willing to endure in Sephora. Poor man. He likes to see everything when I get home, but I think the endless selection process makes him insane.

I picked up the Urban Decay one tonight...I LOVE IT!  There is a foil/card sample of the UD original primer under the back cover (clever!), and a 4 eye shadow palette with the colors skimp, bust, guilt and oil slick.  The shadows have two exclusive colors, and are 0.02 oz.  There is also a 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in zero. The liner is 0.03 oz.  The primer doesn't have a listed sample size, think of it as more of an honorable mention! LOL!  I swatched the eye shadows.  The color skimp isn't showing up very well.  I swatched both skimp and guilt above along the top of the four colors swatched together too.  So they are on my arm twice.  I was trying to get the lighter shades to show...then they eye liner I put to kind of line each color.  I have to say, I am TERRIBLE at swatching!!  But you get the idea.  LOL!

I am trying to post this message in a couple of threads, sorry if this posts in the wrong place!

I stopped by my local Sephora to see if there was anything that I wanted to get at the I store event. They don't have any of the NARS holiday kits or any of the other holiday items I'm interested in store. Not even sure it's worth going to the in store event. Hmmm, do you think they will get new stuff for the sale in the next few days?

I haven't attended many in-store events at any of my local Sephoras.  I routinely pop in to see what they have before, and just as you experienced, they had hardly any special items I wanted.  And there is a big problem with not keeping good stock, a clean/organized display, and tons of people getting in my way.

A silly little tote bag, and occasionally some extra samples, isn't going to lure me into an environment like that, lol.

Online usually has way more stock, especially if you're looking for something holiday related.  Half the time they're online only items anyways.

i'm excited for the rouge event. my officemate in grad school is coming with me! i'm just gonna get a small ticket item (it WILL be less than $20, whatever it is). looking forward to the bracelet...and the experience with my friend! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My local Sephora is ok, and I remember that they stocked the korres sets I want last year and I feel like they had the Nars blush palette. They don't have any of the new Marc Jacobs eye palette colors and they've been out for more than a month online.

The store I go to is well kept, but I feel like they definitely have to make some tough choices about what they keep in stock. For instance, they recently stopped carrying givenchy and guerlain in store. But they have a massive massive display of sephora brand makeup. I would say that they have 2-3x more space dedicated to Sephora brand makeup (not including brushes or skincare) than any other brand. As Sephora keeps expanding its brand offerings, I wonder how many will actually show up in stores. Sephora has carries Becca for a long time, but Ulta has only started carrying it recently, but it's already in store at my local Ulta.

Was going to go to the Rouge event tonight but there was a huuuuge line up. It was ridiculous. I went in the summer to a different Sephora in Toronto and it was not that busy at all. I had been at work all day and I couldn't stand the thought of being in line, just to be hearded into the store. Will do my ordering online. TBH the only reason I went was bc I wanted to get the free bracelet lol

My friend went to a rouge even tonight and couldn't get near the store .  100s of people couldn't fit in the store so she just left without getting in the store.
