oh & one purchase I made - I did NOT intend to make but am SO glad I did - I got the bite beauty line & define lip primer - omg - I love the scent!! haha

I've always wanted to try one of these and although it is pricey (22.50), it has that minty taste and scent + it is supposed to be 100% natural.

I always end up buying stuff I didn't intend since I always throw stuff in my basket "to think about" and with all the crap that was in my basket I forgot about the sephora concealer until I was at the register and she pulled it out but at that point there was no turning back lol

Ohhh, I was looking at that online after I got home. Like I needed to buy more, but I think I'm going to get that too lol. I need a lip primer!

Well I went to bed and passed out (talked to hubby til 7am) just got up and its too late to change my mind now lol. Im glad it sounds like a lot of girls had fun.

rouge sucks.

i get that people felt special shopping today, but you had to do work to make it happen (get there early on a sunday). for $1000 dollars, it wasn't worth it.

sales tax makes this sale less than 10% off retail, just gonna point that out.

today's online purchases: laura mercier secret concealer, laura mercier plum orchid lipstick (only called orchid online), laura mercier crushed berry lip liner, nars copacabana multiple.... NO BAG, NO GWP, NO SAMPLES (more than one time use).

my opinion on the whole thing is pretty simple: if they gave us 20%, brand GWPs (like ulta), and the sephora bag with sephora brand deluxe samples or something, it would be a WIN. if the events had raffles- say you show up and get ten tickets and they give out ten full sized items per store (i.e. nordstrom gives out prizes during their beauty event), then maybe they'd be worth attending.

i sound bitter, yeah, but they promised more. all of my bitterness is due to that.
i definitely agree - would it have been that hard to make it available online?  kinda sucks that for a rouge gift you can only get it if you can make it to the store in a small time period..

Grr...  I bought online but forgot the Ebates and its 8%!!

I tried looking for the "Ebates Open Ticket' things.. and can't seem to find it...

any one can help?

>_<

It sounds like I missed out on a fun event. I kinda wish I had signed up for this but in my mind I thought it would be packed full of people and long lines so I just decided to pass, but it sounds like it wasn't really like that at all and was actually pleasant. I did use the online code to buy sunscreen which I was planning to buy anyway :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I might make one other purchase with the code but 15% off isn't overly enticing to me. Kinda wish I went to the store for the experience though. Glad to hear everyone had fun!

Overall I thought that the event was quite fun. I loved that they kept the RSVP list to a number that ensured it would be easy and comfortable to move around the store. I also appreciated that it seemed like all their sales associates were on shift. There was no shortage of help. My friend had a girl basically to herself for nearly an hour. In terms of reps, my store had Hourglass, Givenchy and Anastacia. The Givenchy and Anastacia reps were kind of in a tiny little area so it was almost like they weren't there and more just helped girls out finding YSL items since they were by the YSL counter. The hourglass rep was giving makeovers. He did an amazing job. I definitely could have left there with all 5 products he used on me. Yes, he only used five products and I looked amazing (that includes the brush). I bought two of the items he used on me (powder and blush) and the other three items are now tempting me in my sephora.com cart. I mainly stocked up on stuff I often use that I know I will run out of eventually and want more of. I did also pick up a Kat Von D palette (Saint) and a couple of new shades of YSL glossy stains to play around with. In terms of samples, they gave everyone a mini Benefit They're Real Mascara when we walked in, along with a Godiva chocolate egg. Once inside, the Hourglass rep gave me a mini of their mascara, and someone also gave me a sample of a Clean fragrance. I also got some Living Proof samples from a girl near the hair section, and another Godiva chocolate (a full bar actually). No extra samples at checkout other than the foils that came with the striped wristlet. My friend was just given the foils without the wristlet since she isn't Rouge. The pastries and coffee were a nice touch. Fun overall, would love to see more of these. Would have been fun to get more samples though as it sounds like a lot of you ladies did!

So I stopped moping and Z and I hit the mall for a girl day anyway. We hit Sephora and got the wristlet and samples. I got the last Venus balm, it was hiding in the side display. I also got my multimasking kit and the Sephora Unique Pink balm. It was packed though, kinda wished I had gone this morning.

So the event in TN was meh...same as everyone as in Not Enough stock!! Like really??? Everything I wanted they didn't have. No extra samples here. No one asking to have any makeup done. Lines were at every station. Had stuff from Panera and setup was nice. I am not sure of all the reps that were there but I know bumble and bumble, stilla and dior. No fun make up rouge mirror, no raffles, nothing extra. Or at least nothing extra was offered to myself. Just seemed maybe a bit too many people there. Everyone that I did speak with was super nice and helpful tho I will say. But just a normal event that they normally have for my store other than the snacks and the list that you had to be on to enter. Sigh..glad other events were awesome tho!

Did the Dior rep give anything away or do makeovers or anything? I was hoping Dior would be at my store but I had no such luck.

No, nothing to me anyways. She asked if I needed help and she helped with with something. Never offered me any samples or anything. Was sad. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Well that makes me feel much better about the lack of Dior rep at my store....

Went into my SiJCP just to use my 15% off coupon, only to find out they were out of a ton of things already. A lot of skincare and foundations was sold out, there were no 100- or 500-point rewards, some skincare testers were even empty. Not sure what is going on, but I hope they get stock in soon. So it was probably a good thing they weren't hosting an event. The SA was very good about making samples though!

Did anyone else get a flyer thing with upcoming brand rep sessions? Mine was 14 different brands over the course of chic week (of course only 1 is on the weekend) and they're advertising free gifts with a "consultation"....wish I could go to a few but they're mostly 11-5 on weekdays.

No, but I'd love to see something like that for my store! I've checked the store homepage on the Sephora site and there's never any events listed. I know they have brand reps that come, but I wish there was a way to find out about them besides randomly stumbling on them (or calling, I suppose). Not that I could do 11-5 on weekdays, but still nice to be aware of!

the downtown chicago event was awesome as well! upon entrance, i was given a shopping bag with a deluxe sample inside. every bag has different samples. i got a little 0.6 oz jar of fresh sugar face polish, and my guest got a PTR mini bottle. then there was starbucks coffee and pastries, as well as water with Rouge labels. we were also given name tags, and the SA's would call us by our names. there were plenty of SAs and they were extra nice and friendly. the 'personal beauty advisor' (i'm assuming the store manager?) talked to each of the rouge members and their guests about how we can always ask them for beauty advice, and also gave us all with a small card with a handwritten note. everyone's just so nice, and it was such a great atmosphere! there were also classes happening during the event, and my guest and i attended the smokey eye one (and i actually learned something new!). there were 7 other classes (radiant orchid eye makeup, false eyelashes, etc) that all sounded interesting, but we missed those. i loved the energy of the 'cast', they really made us feel special. towards the end of the event, i can tell that they probably got a little tired and less enthusiastic (and also since its not closed door anymore), but i was still able to do all my shopping and ask for samples. on checkout, i got the bag (i expected it to be plastic, but it was fabric...but nonetheless, i still love it a lot!), a rouge mirror (which i already have), the standard packet samples, and a 'handmade' sample of the philosophy cream. i can really tell that they tried hard to please the members. we were greeted

i also want to mention: the dior rep was great! she didn't even ask me anything, and knew that i would be interested in the dior lip enhancer (i was not wearing any lip product). i didn't buy it on the spot, but def buying it online during the sale.

i'm def looking forward to more rouge events now!

Maybe mine was doing that instead of brand reps today since I didn't see any this morning. I really want to go on 4/11, they're having too faced, bliss, and benefit....but that's the day after our entire department gets back from an out state meeting and they said nobody can take that Friday off :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I didn't make it to the rogue event, but I went later in the day.  I still got the bag from both the regular Sephora and SiJCP.  The SiJCP had better samples, with a sample size of Buxom lip polish.  The girl at SiJCP was so excited to give a goodie bag out to a Rogue.  She told me I was the first one at the store to redeem that day!  I got Givenchy Mister Light under eye concealer, an atomizer, and redeemed my scent certificate for a full size bottle of Burberry Body Touch.  At SiJCP, they had a ton of Lorac on clearance.  I grabbed two gel eyeliners and a set of mini ciate nail polish.  Overall it was a fun day!
