I went to the sephora in Braintree mass and they had Starbucks coffee and all the bakery items Starbucks sells which was nice. The sales associates didn't push products which I appreciated and there is a new blow out store opening in the mall and they have out their own bag of goodies. The shopping bags had extra samples in them besides the ones you got with your purchase- a sephora mascara sample, eyeshadow sample, primer sample, and some living proof samples. They have my boyfriend his own shopping bag so I got double the samples but other than the nice atmosphere and food I don't think the samples are worth it. They were completely out of a ton of products which bothered me because I think they should've restocked everything for "their best customers."

there was dunkin donuts (I wish it was starbucks) and bakery items from a grocery store in Dedham.  I guess the Dedham one was pretty lame.  They were out of a lot of products as well, which I thought was strange, like the divergence items and bite beauty.

Sounds like I should have signed up at another sephora, but the dedham is the closest one to me.

Here's my haul! Samples on the left, purchases on the right:

Purchased haul was: Fresh Soy Cleanser (the small version, to try it), Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duo (love this so much more than I expected to!), Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation (a staple), a new Formula X color, and my first YSL Glossy Stain! The Rouge mirror is in the center.

I just got back from mine! I had sooo much fine. We were the third in line cause we got there super early. The staff members all clapped when we came in and it was super fun, I really felt special. There were so many people helping out and the store director gave me her card and a hug and told me to find her whenever I'm in there. I'm really glad I went, it felt like a great perk for being rouge.

The breakfast items were from panera and they had plenty to go around. I think they did a great job with the event at my store. I bought:

clarisonic mia 2 (had one and returned it but decided to give it another try)

NARS multiple in riviera

NARS foundation

givenchy mascara

glamglow youthmud

philosophy purity made simple wipes

and tons of samples. Decided to get the 500 point perk they just came out with that has the bite beauty lip pencil, josie maran argan oil, hourglass mineral veil, and balenciaga perfume.

I hope they have similar events in the future because I had a great time.

Oh and I didn't realize but I got the little compact mirror too. Just saw it when I started going through my stuff.

On the east coast for the wknd, and went to the nyc herald square event. Sad pack of 5 6 foil packets and the same makeup bag as everyone else. It wasn't any more crowded than the times square or busy Manhattan sephoras usually are. Poland springs bottles of water, starbucks, and croissants that were cut in half.... Sales associates were super nice, and not pushy at all. They had a semi-pro photag snapping picts for people on a sephora "red carpet-ish" studio set up towards the back. Overall, if you're already up and about, and near the store, or were planning on shopping in the area, then you might as well swing by. But for me, it is not worth making a dedicated trip to the store on a rainy day just for the event. The online GWPs are much better.

Ok review time! Overall they did a really good job. I was at the mall of America store. They had name tags and everyone called you by name. The girls were super helpful, by far the best service I've ever gotten. Didn't talk to any brand reps, not sure there was any there? Laura mercier was apparently scheduled for 11. It was SO FARKING HOT in there though. We had a theory it was so people wouldn't wear coats and steal stuff but who knows. Starbucks at my store too. I'm happy I went, but I'm also 5 minutes away. No extra stuff though I just got the bag with the standard samples. Bought: Thirsty mud Nars primer Escada born in paradise rollerball Grindhouse A bite lipstick Kat von d liquid lipstick Occ lip pencil in feathered Formula x nail polish And traded in 100 points for the adorable buxom gloss mini Overall I saved like $30 so I'll call it a win Stock was bad though. They had 2 hourglass blushes in stock , as in 2 total not 2 colors (and I was there at 9) and they weren't the color I wanted.

I definitely bailed- it is pouring here and when I looked at my alarm clock I just groaned and turned it off instead.

I went to the store closest to my house in NC. The event was fine, they had a large variety of pastries there, but I'm on a wedding diet, so there wasn't anything there that I could eat. I always get great service at my store, and today was no exception. There were simply more SA compared to customers, but otherwise it felt like a normal shopping day everyone was entered into a raffle as they entered. Not sure what the prize was, but I'm assuming I didn't win. I got the same beauty clutch as everyone else, and the samples I got were foil packets, so not really "worth it". The SA were definitely available to put makeup on people and to make samples of products for people. My main issue is what the heck is the point of being able to shop early if they don't stock the product?!? Come on! They were out of sooooo many things it was ridiculous, including the concealer I wanted. Don't worry, I still managed to spend my budget.

My Rouge event was really fun. Lots of SA help (which I don't normally use but which was nice to have), coffee/pastries, brand reps from Stila and Tarte. Got the same bag of samples plus some extras from Clarins. They were taking video - not sure what for. Very friendly service. All in all a fun time. Hope they have more!

Just back from my store, they had a slight line to get in and checked my name and my guests name off. Once in they passed out name tags to the Rouge members and had cookies/starbucks smaller then tall cups of coffee. They had a raffle for gift baskets with some fun products that they raffled off every 30 minutes.  It was crowded and there was a ton of staff.

I ended up purchasing the Naked Skin foundation complexion kit that's been sold out online and a Makeup Forever gel liner for my guest (since she wasn't getting a bonus, it was the least I could do).

I received:

a nice bonus mirror

canvas bag/wristlet

Foil samples:

smashbox photo primer

algenist pore corrector

sephora body butter

wei firming cream

perfek skin perfecting gel

l occitane precious cream

It was nice to see my friend and there was the one thing I couldn't get online, so all in all I'm happy I went.

My guest got a bonus with her purchase...it wasn't the same sample bag we got, but she did get one. It was a little silver puch and had a few foils and a little lancome mascara in it. If I hadn't already gotten 15 samples of that mascara I would've been jealous.

I think she had a great time too, and ended up spending over $100.

Here are photos of my haul and my samples (from both my boyfriend and me). The moroccan oil was from the blow dry bar store that's name is on the button. Everything else was from sephora

gotta be honest, i'm calling total BS on the fact that the bag doesn't come online orders like normal (remember how you couldn't delete the tote bag from your order even if you wanted to??)

rouge sucks.

i get that people felt special shopping today, but you had to do work to make it happen (get there early on a sunday). for $1000 dollars, it wasn't worth it.

sales tax makes this sale less than 10% off retail, just gonna point that out.

today's online purchases: laura mercier secret concealer, laura mercier plum orchid lipstick (only called orchid online), laura mercier crushed berry lip liner, nars copacabana multiple.... NO BAG, NO GWP, NO SAMPLES (more than one time use).

my opinion on the whole thing is pretty simple: if they gave us 20%, brand GWPs (like ulta), and the sephora bag with sephora brand deluxe samples or something, it would be a WIN. if the events had raffles- say you show up and get ten tickets and they give out ten full sized items per store (i.e. nordstrom gives out prizes during their beauty event), then maybe they'd be worth attending.

i sound bitter, yeah, but they promised more. all of my bitterness is due to that.

Great haul!

My haul (this is just the purchased stuff). I'm really excited about the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 9 and getting very last Escada Cherries in the Air (sold out everywhere else I've looked for it!!!). Rest was just stuff I needed.
400
I did get my hair done with surf spray and loved it and also learned that radiant orchid blush and I don't match. Glad I did not buy online. Our store was very very stocked and not crowded. So worth it.

I went this afternoon and still got the samples and the bag. The bag is really cute. I got mainly stuff I needed but I plan on making an online order with some more fun stuff later. Today I got: MUFE HD Foundation Lavanilla Coconut body butter Sephora Triple Action cleansing water Sephora Flawless Moisturizing lotion Benefit Badgal mascara

the little bag is quite nice - it is a tough canvas material with a wristlet.  The samples are pretty pathetic.  foils smashbox photo primer algenist pore corrector sephora body butter wei firming cream perfek skin perfecting gel l occitane precious cream the saleclerk tossed in .5 oz clinique repairwear laser focus (which I am happy to get).  When I saw the boxes of bigger samples behind her, I asked about them as well, and she also gave me murad oil control mattifier  (.33 oz) murad hydro dynamic moisturizer (.25 oz) be ready bare minerals pack - included prime time foundation primer & a nice sample of their powder foundation - alas, they gave me golden dark....I am medium.    This is way too dark for me they packed my purchase and samples in one of those black friday totes - which is nice, cause I love my tote bag
Damn wish my store was that nice... I spent almost $400 and nothing above the foils and wristlet!

I had to ask about them.  She was only going to give me ONE of the samples and I looked over her shoulder and I was like, ohhh, what are THOSE?? lol   So I was happy that she just started to toss them all in (she didn't give me all of the different clinique samples, but that is okay :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> )
