Are you sure? I'm not from Canada, but you can switch between US and Canada on the sephora.com site just by clicking the flag at the bottom, and it still says sephora.com.
You can, but you have to check out on sephora.ca if you have a Canadian address. Believe me, I've tried! I've considered using my u.s mail forwarding address but apparently that holds potential for the banhammer coming down so I just deal with the arbitrarily inflated exchange rates and the limited access to all the items Sephora carries in their .com inventory. More excuses for cross border shopping, I guess.

I got my $15 card a few days ago and can confirm a few things.

-it wouldn't let me use it on an order less than $50 (unlike previous years)

-it was able to be used before the date on the card. I used mine yesterday.

Now I should really stop shopping!

Aw, man. That is sad.

What is the expiration on these cards? I may have to wait until after Christmas ... when I have money again :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

got my $20 in mail -even though im rouge, whatever. And was already able to spend it on Guerlain pearls, even though it says valid starting December 3rd

Aw booooo that they finally figured out how to actually enforce a $50 purchase limit on these reward cards lol. I don't have $50 worth of stuff to buy to warrant using it, but coincidentally one of my friends just messaged me asking my opinion on a Too Faced palette and she mentioned how she's always wanted a Naked palette but hasn't been able to justify paying $50+ for one, so I told her she could use my card if she wanted to.

I have a few things to give my husband to buy me for Christmas that are over the $50 limit.  But, what a pain in the ass to give him this task when I have to get my gift card adjusted to $20 instead of $15.  Plus, I want the points that are going to accumulate.  Geez, I might as well do it myself.  That isn't so exciting.

Oh, no! I'm sad now. Very sad. I don't think I can justify spending that much money on myself right before Christmas ... especially since I already "asked" for some things from Sephora already this year.

Lol I'd be lying if I said wasn't a little sad that they figured it out...

If you read through the rest of the posts, you will see that she's referring to the gift cards Sephora is sending out.

BI is receiving $15, VIB gets $20, & VIBR(ouge) gets $25.
I just rouged a few weeks ago so I must have missed the cut-off for the $25 card. I received the $20 version. Still not sad - going to use it on a fragrance but now I have to pick one!

I had posted a few pages back that I am VIB but, got the $15.00 value. I sent an email to Sephora. They told me to call when I am ready to place my order and they will take care of it. Kinda of a pain in the neck but, I have nothing in mind just yet. So, who knows if I will use it. Who am I kidding, I will use it.
Oh! I wonder if they'll do this for me as well. I rouged a few weeks ago but got the $20 card.

Fellow Canadian here.

They never seem to send me any physical mail but I definitely got the email last year & ended up using it instore. I remembered that I wrote a rant about why I didn't use it online that may be helpful if they run it the same way this year.

"So I got my VIB $20 "gift card" email today and was playing card Tetris in anticipation of Naked3 & discovered some fun facts. 1.If you are Canadian, you can only apply it as a promo code, not as a g/c so you can't get any promos if you use it 2. The minimum IS being enforced for this side of the border, ie it won't apply it unless you have more than $50 u.s in your cart 3.The amount you need for free shipping to Canada is not $75, it must be 96 or higher before discount. Putting $75 in your cart makes the $20 g/c magically turn into a $20.01 g/c and you get charged shipping. Yeah. Nice."

It was that last point that really chapped my...lips. Like, really Sephora? I gotta spend basically $100 online or $50 instore? That's a little extreme , don't you think? That .01 shenanigans really burned me too.
I went to grad school in Canada and lived there for a year (about a decade ago) and I can say that I was truly shocked at how many restrictions the online retailers had with shipping to Canada. It really changed my perspective on online shopping. Plus all of the extra shipping charges and so forth. Yes, it's a different country but a lot of the restrictions seemed arbitrary. (Like what's with the different price point cut-offs? Currency exchange varies a lot and sometimes they're basically 1:1.)

Anyway, I empathize.

I got my card last night. The fine print on the paper says "Must qualify as VIB Rouge by October 1, 2014." So that must be the cut off date.

That said, it won't hurt to contact them and ask if you could get the $5 difference. ($5 more to spend! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'm not sure you are going to have to place your order over the phone in that case.

Does anyone know if they let you use a promo code when you order over the phone? I've heard both yes and no so I was just wondering.

Ah-ha! That's it. I rouged when they did the F&F event in late October. Thanks for reading the fine print.  ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

whoa! hold your horses, bi's get a $15 card too!?

Edit.. And can we call in and get that discount if we don't receive a card in the mail?

Yes :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

If you don't receive the physical mail, don't worry, they send out emails with the code to let everyone know about it. If for some reason you don't get the email in time, you can call/message them and they can look up for code for your account and give it to you.

Just wanted to add, when I re-read my post it sounded like "here are the rules-" that's not what I meant at all. I know some people have been wondering about the cut off date, so I was just trying to help.

It's so hard to convey tones in writing at times..

I just got my card on Saturday. It came just in time since I recently ran out of my HG foundation and will need to restock.

I have an online return to make, but have a new card number. One CS rep told me that I would get an online credit, but another told me it should be the same routing info and would be returned to my card (same account, different number). Anyone know for sure? I'd like my money back, but if I'm going to get a credit anyway, I'd rather just take it back to a store (since they said it could take four weeks to process!).
