I'm the wrong person to ask, I use too many lip products to give a good run time. I like the larger ones because they aren't as delicate.

so, after the last missing package fiasco, i decided sephora packages will go to DH's work (since they usually use ontrac who doesn't seem to care about missing packages). well, somehow, after i changed the shipping address, it reverted back to my address! (maybe because it's my billing address - i didn't notice if i had extra check boxes checked since i was so excited for the HG palette)

lucky for me, i also ordered a brush, so the order is being shipped UPS from MD. that must be the only facility that has that brush. my UPS man is super nice and never leaves packages for me - he always rings the bell and actually waits for me. phew! crisis averted.

*edit*

i guess it shipped from MD. but why is it in PA if i'm in CA?  :blink2:

At this point I am a little annoyed, I just received another order without the promo item. The promo item shows on the packing slip, so I know I entered the promo code. Different promo item to last time. Bummer.
Be sure to contact Sephora and tell them the packer number on your invoice.  I know it doesn't get you your promo, but they need to know those packer numbers.  If people aren't doing their job correctly, they need to be checked up on.

I got a broken perfume sample that was a promo.  I had a lot of order issues in a short span of weeks, and after telling them about the issues and how unhappy I was, they quickly sent me out a new promo perfume (the Tory promo from the other month).  So if you contact them saying another order didn't receive your promo again, and all that jazz, you might end up getting a promo sent to you instead of points.  Never hurts to try!

Girls I have a sort-of strange question to ask since I'm new to Fresh. I've only ever had the smaller-size Fresh Sugar lippies, so even though I can read the difference in size between them and the regular sizes, I don't know how long that translates to.

It didn't take me long at all to go through one of the smaller sized ones.. seriously like a week. I bought the $36 kit with four colors and the exfoliator (the larger kit didn't appeal to me).

What I'm wondering is if I should get another kit or two while the getting's good this holiday season, or if in the end it would be better for me to just buy two full-sized for a little bit more when I need them. Thoughts?
Hmmm, not a strange question, but interesting now that I sit here thinking about my own Fresh balms.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks of things like this! :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have a few of the mini deluxe samples, but they have lasted me a long time.  I'm still working on the clear treatment one, and use it a few times a week, been about 4-5 months since I started using it.  I still have a good 3/4 left.

Then I have a rose tinted one that is almost a year old, still got about 1/3 left of it.  I bought a full size Tulip and wear it a few times per week as well and have hardly made a dent in it.

Personal opinion, but I think the full size tubes last longer than the smaller ones--duh, lol--I mean to say the same amount equivalent in the tubes...the larger one lasts longer.  Maybe because there is a larger surface area to apply to the lips, that it doesn't eat up as fast as the skinny little surface size of the small tubes... does that make any sense?  Hopefully I'm not typing gibberish this late, lol.

For me, the question I'd ask myself based on your original question is--- do you want everything in the kit of smaller ones?  Or just one or two of the colors in the kit?  If you think you'll use all the kit contents over and over each time, then I'd probably get a couple more kits.  If you really honestly only love a couple of the colors and don't need more lip scrub, etc etc.. then I'd probably buy just the one or two full size tubes.  The full size tubes are also more hardy in the heat than the small tubes.. but since it is winter coming up and you seem to go through these like I go through cotton pads, lol, I doubt you'll have to worry about them in the heat much. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thank you. I don't have freshsoy, but I do have two of the Daisydreams I really don't need (mostly just needed a code) that I can send you if you want. I have a lot of other stuff to send out anyway. I know you're more annoyed with the principle (DEF write them and complain until they give you at least 200+ points... if they offer you 100 you can usually barter for more, for each missing perk) but hey, I'd rather them go to someone who wants them.
You are the nicest person, I truly appreciate your offer  :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  I placed another order last night with the Daisy Dream code.  If it doesn't show up (at that point I will think someone at Sephora is seriously punking me big time) I'l take you up on your offer.  Thanks for been amazing!  :flowers:  And you are totally right, it's mostly just on principle that this happened to me twice - in the span of a week!

That is a very good idea, I'll look for the packer number right now.  I have already sent Sephora a second message after the second missing promo.  Hopefully I receive a reply in the coming days.

Isn't it frustrating when multiple issues happen at around the same time?  I began to worry that Sephora might think I am making this up.  I've shopped (a lot) at Sephora for the past 10 years so hopefully they will see that and also see that I have only experienced an issue similar to this once before.  I'm glad to hear that you were sent your missing promo item, I hope the same thing happens for me too  :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I am going through a similar thought process right now regarding the Fresh Lip Balm sets.  Personally my fave one is Honey.  I like the minis because they easily go in my purse or my clutch when I got out at night.  The Honey color never seems to be one of the freebie colors given out as mini promos.  I feel like the only way for me to get a good supply of Honey minis is to buy a bunch of the holiday kits.  But then I feel like I am being crazy and should just suck it up and tote around the full size (I really do have a hard time fitting it in my clutch though!)

Decisions decisions!

Survey question/Sephora product/purchase related:

If you were going to win, by game or raffle number, a little makeup bag with different beauty products in it...

Would you rather get a deluxe mini tinted Fresh balm... OR.... a mini tarte lipsurgence (like from the current mini set with the two mini glosses in it too)? ((other items would be included too, not just the lippies))

I want to pick up a set to break up into my little baggies, and I can't decide which would be more fun.  On one hand, tarte is such a huge staple for so many women, so it'd be well received.. but there are so many lip chubby sticks out on the market they might be over saturated in them/similar... And so many love the Fresh balms, but hate/can't bring themselves to spend on a full size--so they may love getting a mini tube since they don't buy the full size tubes... I guess I can't go wrong either way.. but I'm curious about answers from you guys.  ((women receiving them love makeup/beauty, and most aren't snobs or brand loyalists, also all are tan medium/deep skin tones if that matters.))

So which would excite you more?

They seem to have a lot of issues in the Salt Lake warehouse.  I'd say a good 90-95% of my orders end up coming from that facility. Were your orders from there or Baltimore?  I was so mad at that broken perfume, I could have hurt myself if I had opened it with my usual haste.  They were so lazy with my order they didn't even check off the items like they should, and conveniently forgot their packer number on my slip.  I always make sure to be relatively polite in my contacts with them, but very firm and clear about how unhappy I am.  They can very easily get your promo to you, so don't let them pull one over on you. (and any other person in here!)  They just put in an order on your account online to the warehouse, free of charge, and you'll even get tracking for it.

I LOOOVE Tarte, but mostly for blushes. Honestly- and this surprised me considering how much gorgeous makeup sets I get- the Fresh kit I ordered after I realized I liked the balms? I think it's the most excited I've been for a purchase in a long time- I think because I knew I'd use every single bit of it up and was excited for the colors. Just my opinion!

Edit: Also, I think you're right re: getting 2 full sized.

I would be nervous to give the Fresh balms as a gift because they can melt so easily. I got the Petal one that was in one of those four Sephora bags last December and it was melted but I didn't panic because I expected it to happen so I was able to salvage it. People who are not familiar with the brand may not know that you can't even keep those in a pocket.  So I think I would give Tarte if I were giving gifts.

I love the fresh lip balms. I use them every day and also before I got to bed.  They are the best thing and only thing that has kept my lips in great shape. I also turned my friends and family on to them. They are awesome !!

I caught on with Fresh within a day. I also think you could leave a little note saying that they're amazing but don't let them get too warm. Also, it's stange bc I live in Las Vegas, my package was delivered at 11am and I didn't bring it in to the house until 3pm, and they were all perfect still :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

If I didn't know about fresh, I think the Tarte would be more exciting.. However, the plain Fresh (well, any of them lol) is the most amazing thing in the world. There are no words how much I love how it feels on my lips. No words! Fresh will always win out so you make sure to let them know they have a tube of gold in their package haha

Perfect consistency. Not too waxy like regular Chap Stick, but not too thin/oily like EOS. Also, there's an entire thread on the forums about how EOS has either totally chapped lips or given people weird pimple-like bumps right on the lip line.

I would have never tried these again without you guys. My life has changed in a week- I always have it on me, now. "MY PRECIOUS!!"

:mussical:  Hot Pockets!  Check it and seeee... It burned my mouth, my tongue is bleediiiinngg...

Oh, sorry, your post reminded me of my husband's hot pocket song (to the tune of "Hot Blooded"), LOL.  ((he never knows words to songs, makes up his own))

Anywaaaays... I wonder if they put older sets of the balms in the bags last December? (like they sat around in too hot of a warehouse during summer and then got sent out in the winter)  They shouldn't be melty in December normally (you'd think anyways?).

I get those little bumps from EOS!  I thought I was crazy at first, but then so many other stories popped up online about the same thing way back when.. so then I felt better that at least I wasn't crazy, lol.

My problem is I'm allergic to so many things, and for no reason in particular.  Just certain fragrances and flavors/scents end up not agreeing with me, especially mint!  I hate when they put mint in lippies.  Which is weird, because I can eat real mint, but the mint oil or whatever they put in lip products makes my lips chap and split within a few hours.  I LOVE the tarte lip surgence pencils, but 99% of the colors chap and split my lips after half a day because of the minty stuff in them.  It makes me sad. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I didn't believe the hype on the fresh balms for the longest time, even though I wanted to buy one badly.  Finally got a mini rose one back when Sephora had the mini duo for a bday gift, and fell in love with them instantly.  They are the only "balm" that isn't a makeup gloss product, that doesn't ever bother my lips, even the ones with spf, which is amazing.  SPF lip products usually chap my lips too, lol.  I'm hooked now, I don't care if it is full price.  If it works on me that well, I don't care what the price is!  But they last me a long time, so the price works out to cheap as chapstick by the time I finish a tube.

If I had to choose, I'd say Tulip is my hands down favorite, followed by rose.  Tulip is just so pretty and pink and happy, and I like that I can make it subtle or very very bright depending on how much I put on, and it leaves a nice pink stain the rest of the day.

I LOVE the sugar shine lip treatment glosses too.  Started with the clear when it first came out, and then got Honey back when the new colors came out. Just last weekend I picked up Cherry and Rose.  They are all beautiful!  Just as great as the balms are, but lip gloss texture and shine.

I'm on mobile right now so I can't see any locations, but down here in coastal Texas I could definitely see a fresh balm being able to melt in our "winter" - I wore shorts and tank tops all through last December!

I would be so happy if Fresh came out with some differently scented balms. I'm not a huge fan of the lemon scent, but I do like the texture and slight tint of color (or not). I like being able to apply it without a mirror, and the packaging definitely feels like a quality product, but they are a little bulky.

I'm so sad that Fresh discontinued the majority of their color cosmetics some number of years ago. They just seemed to work well with my skin (and skin tone), and they had the most amazing eyeshadows in unique, non-dupeable colors. I also loved their old formula lip gloss. I finished multiple tubes of Fresh Damask. I wasn't a fan of the high price point or some of the packaging. Given that everything else in the store was soaps wrapped in lovely paper and tied with wire and beautiful trays and perfume bottles, it was a little disappointing that their palettes were not-so-luxe plastic. RIP Fresh eyeshadow.

@@ohsailor I was surprised you found the EOS balm thin and oily. Mine is super waxy and solid, almost to the point of being hard to apply unless it's warm. I figured this was the trade off to make something in a half-sphere shape that didn't slide off the base or smoosh the first time you used it. I like the EOS packaging, but I think it results in a mediocre product. Softlips makes what looks like a plastic ice cube with a half sphere of lip balm inside. The formula is pretty standard, but it's a lot nicer than EOS's, if you guys are in the market for a spherical lip balm.
