The YSL point perk is back for anybody that was wanting it. I wasn't expecting much by description earlier, but the kit looks great! This is a set worth 500 points in my opinion!
I also picked up the roller pen of "Si" perfume. I've been wanting to smell this really really bad, and sad there were never any samples of it yet. Low and behold my order that arrived this morning had one of those white fold out perfume ads...which are usually for a point special on a certain fragrance, but this one was a sample foil card for... "Si"!!! It smells amazing. Reminds me of another perfume, but can't put my finger on which, and "Si" smells better, more sophisticated without being too mature. Fruity, earthy, great for cooler weather when you don't want all spicy but summer fruity scents are too light. Then I found out there was a roller of it, and was even happier!
I just reused the YOURGIFT promo code since there aren't any new ones I liked better and the Fan Friday code is out of stock it said. This code gives a range of choices to pick from. I picked up another set of the Living Proof hair care samples.did you use a promo code? which one? /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
So pretty!I got my Tony Moly lip balm this morning. I love it! It is so stinkin' cute. I got the honey version, and it really does smell like fresh natural honey-not the sickeningly sweet fake honey some brands have. Very moisturizing and cushy. The balm is peach in the pot, but goes on 99.9% clear, leaves a nice glossy sheen with just a teeny tiny whisper of peach color. I put it next to my ipod shuffle to show size scale.
Also, somebody was asking about the new YSL foundation (sorry I'm too lazy to go look it up). I put some on this morning for these pictures from my last sample card. These are just the foundation, no concealer, primer, powder, blush, etc etc. My face is pretty broken out right now, but I feel it covers well enough, and it doesn't get cakey or nasty over blemish spots.
I also have the lip balm over the Makeup Forever lip liner point perk in these photos and the bare minerals eye shadow point perk on (which is basically the same color as original primer potion from UD, that stays that color instead of blending in). I like the formula, but I think I'd like another color more. Maybe the green or pink.
Totally picking up the blueberry lip balm version. I'm not a huge fan of blueberry, but the container is so cute, and purple! The other reviews on Sephora were right, it will make a cute pill container once empty.
How do you suggest taking care of them? I need to start taking better care of mine and any advice would help.I'm an avid perfume collector... I usually just get 1 or 1.7 ounce bottles, but what I like about perfume is that as long as you take care of it, a bottle won't go bad. If you end up tossing them/getting rid of them/never using them again, though, roller balls or minis are definitely the way to go.
keep them away from light, humidity, and extremes of temperature. dark drawers/closet are good. bathroom's not good. i usually put my 'currently un-loved' ones in their respective boxes, until i decide to wear them again. How do you suggest taking care of them? I have quite a few of them in the drawers of my vanity, out of light. I will make sure to remove the ones that are in my bathroom. Thanks for the info, I'd like to keep as many as I can in good shape.keep them away from light, humidity, and extremes of temperature. dark drawers/closet are good. bathroom's not good. i usually put my 'currently un-loved' ones in their respective boxes, until i decide to wear them again.
I know I should do this, but some of the bottles are so pretty I can't bear to hide them away.keep them away from light, humidity, and extremes of temperature. dark drawers/closet are good. bathroom's not good. i usually put my 'currently un-loved' ones in their respective boxes, until i decide to wear them again.
i hear you! i display the ones i'm currently using /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> (kinda like a compromise. haha)I know I should do this, but some of the bottles are so pretty I can't bear to hide them away.
Edit: Really I'm just trading the value of the scent for the value of seeing pretty things every day. It kind of doesn't matter if it goes bad since the scent isn't what I get the most use from anyway.
And that's how you enable yourself to buy more pretty bottles of perfume!
