@@saku answered beautifullyHow do you suggest taking care of them? I need to start taking better care of mine and any advice would help.
That magnet point is actually really smart and really important to consider. Definitely don't put these near your phone or credit cards, ladies!Okay ladies, get your stones ready to throw at me.... I do NOT like the new Nars audacious lipsticks. *ducks and covers*
I bought Fanny (deep magenta based plum), and Anna (smokey rose).
First, the colors. I liked the color of Fanny, but it only lasted about an hour and a half before it faded to a lighter berry stain. All I did was eat a peanut butter sandwich and had a glass of water. It faded evenly, but I expect longer wear before fading to a stain unless it is a glossy formula. In fact, my YSL candy shine lipsticks have a longer wear time! Anna looked pretty in blog photos and online swatches, but on my lip color it turned an ugly brown mauve. Sickly like bruised lips kind of. It did last longer before fading, but I didn't find it attractive at all.
I expected better for such hype they've been given. I actually like the old formula of Nars more. They ARE opaque in one swipe which is nice, but I need more than that.
What I hated: The case. It isn't just magnetic closure on the cap, the entire case is a magnet. I don't like magnets sitting in my purse next to my phone and debit card. There is no point to it anyways. The cases also are finger print magnets, lol, worse than the original rubberized packaging. Also, when I was trying to put the cap back on, it wont go on unless it is the right direction (opposite polarity)... the magnets wont let it close unless you're putting the square on in the right place... I don't have time to fiddle with putting the cap on over and over until the magnets line up.
I'll stick with my Givenchy and YSL and Dior over these. I wouldn't say these are terrible lipsticks, just not my cup of tea, sadly.
wow thanks for the review, I totally expected these to live up to the hype!Okay ladies, get your stones ready to throw at me.... I do NOT like the new Nars audacious lipsticks. *ducks and covers*

Oooo, loving the brush set. Thanks for posting!A little off topic, but Tarte's holiday sets are out now on tartecosmetics.com! I only got the chic to cheek blush set, but they're all nice! There's a LipSurgence set like always, a brush set, their eyelash curler with pearls on it, a contour palette, and a set that comes with mini maracuja oil, mini C-brightener eye treatment, and a mini cheek stain in really cute packaging. I don't know when they're going to be available at Sephora though/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I managed to get a Black Orchid 3.4oz bottle (for my mom) for $90 and a smaller bottle (1.7 I believe) for $68 the other day at overstock.com. I went to tell everyone here and in the enablers thread, but as soon as I did it was OOS.When I explained to my hubby that the value of either the Black Orchid or the Alien alone far exceed the value of the perfume set as a whole, I was begrudgingly given permission to break my already tenuous no-buy. Seriously, though, for a sample set that has to be one of the best I've seen.
I need to go look at the men's cologne set and see if that is something that should be stashed away for Christmas...
Ahh, lucky! I swear every time I check them they only have like... Calvin Klein Obsession or a huge selection of celebrity fragrances. I'd die to snag a bottle of Dior ANYTHING at that price!I managed to get a Black Orchid 3.4oz bottle (for my mom) for $90 and a smaller bottle (1.7 I believe) for $68 the other day at overstock.com. Last year it was light, it's probably light again :/I'm actually liking the inclusion of products like the Brow Wiz, the Chloe rollerball and the Stila liner but why did we have to get NARS orgasm for the millionth time?! That and not knowing if we can pick our shade of the BB cream kinda kills this set for me
