Yep, got the email. I have been wanting to make an order and have been waiting for a new code. This one isn't going to do it for me though.
Yeah, I swung by the mall earlier during my lunch break for Starbucks - of course it was temporarily closed - so I almost went into sephora to see if they had the new point perks and if they had this exfoliating powder I want to try but I stopped myself because I'd rather be able to use a code too. But there are zero good codes these days. I thought that email was great timing until I saw the contents :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Did anyone else get this email, see the subject and get super excited only to be disappointed once you read through it?

Yep, sure did!  I read the email and was all... uhhhh, that is nothing exciting or awesome.  I wouldn't even use most of them in either bag, so I'll skip this one.  I'm going for the fan friday this week instead.

Have you tried Chloe? To me it's similar to TB but without the musk. It also lasts a really long time for me.

I'm not buying perfume anymore. I had a 100 ml bottle of issey miyake edt turn on me. It was 80% finished so it wasn't that big a deal, but it turned into something gross. I bought EDP after hoping it wouldn't turn as quickly. (Love issey.. It's classic IMO) I also have a giant bottle of kenzo, and the small bottle of Chloe. But lately I've been using my samples to try and see if I can tolerate those scents as I end up hating so many of them after a couple hours (acqua do gioia EDP is one I thought I loved but I couldn't stand after an hour).
I like See by Chloe and Chloe Roses.  I have small samples of them saved up to use.  My husband wasn't thrilled by See, but I liked it.

Has anyone tried this?

I just got a full-size facial/toner spray from Boscia last month and I love it.  I probably don't need this one too, but it does sound interesting.  Maybe I'm just trying to justify an order.
I've heard lots of good reviews for items by this brand.  I've never tried it yet myself.  I like getting samples of products from super expensive brands, and this one doesn't have many samples out to date.  I'm going for this promo in an order today.

I'm glad it wasn't just me who was disappointed with those sample bags haha! I'll go for one of these new promos to justify a new purchase, though...

Sounds like exactly what I am looking for! I wish they made my color!

The Hourglass Ambient Light powder has been a live saver. I was getting ready to go to a meeting and messed up on my eyeliner and used a Seventh Generation Face Wipe on my face and it totally irritated the heck out of my cheek bone area. I couldn't touch the area with my fingers or apply enough pressure to even out foundation so I just put the powder on and the redness was gone, or at least hidden. I was not expecting that much coverage from a powder without color.
How do you apply the Hourglass powder?  I have the trio palette and I have tried with a few brushes and I never really can get the hang of it.  It always looks overdone on me and I'm usually pretty good with powder!

I use a kabuki brush and put the main part down the middle of my face and spread that around.

Man, I am terrible!  So many orders placed this morning.

I ended up doing 3 orders, so I could use the fan friday code 3 times.  That makes just shy of a full size bottle of that spray.  Let's see if it is really worth 80+ a bottle full size! :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I purchased the new YSL foundation (they got my color back in stock today, so it must have been fate, lol), Shisedo mascara primer (replacement for my current almost gone one), Anastasia brow powder duo (I'm sick of my pencil, and I actually hit pan in my jar of brow pomade!), Jin Soon nail polishes in Azurite and Obsidian, Nails Inc Illuminator polish.

In addition to my purchases last night: Nars blush in Unlawful, FAB ultra repair cream tube, Sephora sheet masks in Pomegranate and Honey, Bliss Micro Magic, and Nars audacious lipsticks in Ana and Fanny.

I don't need any more makeup... I don't need any more makeup.. I don't need any more makeup!

Anna is so pretty... I wore it today at work and my lips looked great. these lipsticks are so comfortable to wear and they last so long too :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

@@normajean2008 I would looooveeee a review of the YSL foundation once you have it. It's more than I'd normally spend on foundation but I'm extremely intrigued by it for some reason.

That is good to hear!  I had a hard time deciding, but Ana seemed like a good pigmented neutral for my skin tone.  And different enough from what I already have.

I've tried several samples of this foundation already, and I love it!  It is so light weight I can't even feel I have anything on, but it gives enough coverage to hide most imperfections, all with concealer.  I asked my husband what he thought of the look, and he couldn't even tell I had makeup on, he thought I was just having a great skin day.  I made him touch my face (because he hates when he feels makeup on me), and he couldn't feel anything.  It didn't rub off on things or smear around when I lean on my hand.

I liked that it had a classic YSL scent, but only lightly, and it didn't linger once applied.  The fragrance in it wasn't enough to dry my skin out.  I have super sensitive skin and break out easily, and this didn't bother my skin.  It also wears pretty long, I got a good 6-8 hours in 90+ degree heat--sweating it up outside.  Just one very light dusting of powder towards the end of the day and it was still good to go longer.  I have a problem with foundations just melting and disappearing on me, so if they can last that long I'm good.  It isn't matte or illuminating, just gives a nice real skin look.

If you can get a sample of your color it is totally worth the effort to try.
