lol, I actually have tried the fragrance and it does nothing for me, haha! It's pure citrus- it smells just like Clinique Happy, just costs a lot more, and I'm a vanilla/patchouli/amber/bergamot/leather/musk/jasmine kind of girl.

I JUST bought a Tom Ford lipstick!! If you want, when I get it I will swatch & review for you- I'm totally new to his cosmetics. I didn't even know he MADE cosmetics, which is a shame since I love his fragrances soooo much!
Ooohh, yeah!  Please swatch and review when you get it!  I need to stop by Nordstrom one day and look at them in person to buy one I think.  so many pretty colors, but so similar to each other.  Makes me think the subtle differences will show on different skin tones, and I'll probably pick the wrong one. :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Good thing Nordstrom is a couple doors down at the Sephora I go to!

Also thanks for verifying Tory perfume smells like Clinique Happy.  If I ever want more of it, I'll have to try the Clinique since it is much cheaper!

I don't think the fragrances are that similar. I dislike Clinique Happy, but like Tory Burch. I'm bad at describing fragrances, but if you guys want to smell for yourselves:

DON'T GET THAT BENEFIT MINI

Sephora had a mini eyeliner earlier that's functional, which I got . I later received one of the newer tinier single push up liners from birchbox. It is literally the worst sample product and worst packaging I have ever met. If you like spending money on garbage, here is your opportunity to pick up some. This packaging is how you know Benefit wants to make sure that no one ever buys the push up liner. It is an anti-sample.

I have strong feelings on this matter.

I want to try a lipstick by her, but I haven't been able to bring myself to buy one.  One, because I can't decide on a color, and two, because I've heard too many lack luster reviews on them.

I agree on the fragrance, it smells really really nice.  I've read several places it is similar to Clinique Happy, but I have never tried Clinique Happy, so I can't vouch for that factor.  I got the deluxe mini fragrance from Sephora before, and just got the deluxe spray vial for my purse from them too.

I also want to try a Tom Ford lipstick and Aerin Lauder lipstick.  So expensive though.  I don't really understand why I can't pull the trigger on these two lipsticks...I buy YSL lipstick all the time at 36 a pop, and Givenchy.  I guess 30 range is my comfort zone, lol.

Has anybody here tried Tom Ford lipsticks?  What did you think of them?  I really wish Sephora would get this brand!  They need some "new blood".

I just caved on a TF lipstick, too, the color Negligee from the Fall line - won't be getting it for a couple of weeks one week still, but I am frothing at the mouth in anticipation!

All the reviews I have read have said his lipsticks are the bomb-diggity, totally worth the price tag. But I had SUCH a hard time pulling that $50 trigger!   I do agree, though, I really wish Sephora would carry Tom Ford. It would make my life so much easier, instead of having to go all over town to find what I want.

ETA: I seriously don't understand how time, or money, work, omg.

i thought that tory burch fragrance smells really really close to clinique happy too!

(and i decided this before i saw any reviews on the scent. i do have and love clinique happy, but was quite disappointed that the tb scent is very similar).

Yeah, for the price, I think they're similar enough that the TB is not worth the money- though all fragrances wear differently on all people! So what might smell exactly the same on me, may be vastly different on another's skin :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> But like I said, I'm not like a lot of people I know- while I do love fruity, I mostly go for the heavy scents a lot of others don't like. I Love New York For All, Flowerbomb, BonBon, Premiere, The One Desire, Elizabeth + James Black, Kat Von D Saint- those are the sorts of fragrances I like- as you can probably tell, I love winter so I can wear these heavy fragrances!

@@Shalott ooh, please share your experience with your TF lipstick since you'll probably get yours before I get mine! I FEEL you on the difficulty of choosing between his colors- there were two that are SUPER similar that I was choosing from and almost went ahead and got both, but decided against it. Actually, there was a third color that was similar that I liked *the most*, but it was discontinued! Such a shame because the color is STUNNING IMO, the sort of color I absolutely go for.

I also got the new Nars Audacious lipstick in the color that Temptalia was raving over- I think it was called Vanessa?- I could be wrong though- I'll post my feelings on that when I get it, too!

Uhm, I hate to admit this, seeing as I am in a no-buy, but I just ordered the second lip color from the fall TF collection, called Twist of Fate. I ordered from Saks (I had a coupon! I am not totally guilty... /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> ), and they aren't know 'round these parts for having the speediest of shipping, so hopefully it gets here sometime next week! If that's the case I should have both colors around the same time, and I will definitely weigh in.

I was so tempted by those new NARS lipsticks when I was at Sephora making an exchange, but I didn't see any that stood out to me, color wise. If the formula is good, though, I might have to give them a second look!

Love the new Nars lipsticks, although the bright colors definitely will travel with no lip liner.

I love Anna, I don't want to spend my money right now but I will buy it haha :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> it's the perfect mauve nude :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

The set looks amazing! I considered it but then realized I would not be able to buy shadows again for a very long time. Don't feel guilty unles you buy more shadows ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Yea I don't think I will buy more shadows in a long time.

The formula for these is so perfect, I don't want to use anything else anyway

U make me feel better about what I did lol!

I bought a Tom Ford lipstick a couple of months ago, and it is by and far my most favorite lipstick ever.

In early August I was getting a make-over from a NARS rep based out of Chicago.  She was telling me about the new Audacious line and said the quality is comparable to Tom Ford, but at a lower price point. I haven't had a chance to make it to Nordstrom yet to pick a shade, but this is on my must buy and compare list.

I want a Burberry lipstick, that silver patterned packaging... Reviews for them put them close in quality to Tom Ford. I should get dropped off at South Coast Plaza or Fashion Island when we go to a coin show this weekend, sigh. None of the good malls are close enough to Long Beach that I can just take off for a while. I'm on low buy until Christmas sets come out anyway.

To me Tory Burch is an odd fragrance. It's like the muskier version of those light citrusy scents, which I personally like. I'm terrible at describing also, but it starts off with a very familiar scent but then turns into something different. I don't own Happy but have tried it in stores and feel like it is pretty one dimensional - tb is not.

That said, I'm not sure I like it enough to buy it. I have a very sensitive nose but happen to love fragrance - a little goes a long way for me. Currently I'm working my way through the smallest bottle of Chloe and I think it'll be years before I use it up hah. Tb does not wear as well as Chloe for me, and it costs more. I think the mini spray is enough for me. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i think i know what you mean by clinique being one-dimensional. it's just a very simple, light and likeable scent that's really easy to wear.

I get what you're saying.  For me, I like the Tory smell right after I spray it, but it disappears after an hour or two on me, so I wont buy a full bottle.  I just pick up the free ones.

If Clinique smellls pretty similar to the citrus part of Tory, then I'd probably like it, since that's my fave part of the Tory.  But I have so much perfume I'm trying to make it through before buying any more.  I had to throw out a couple old ones that turned already. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  Such a waste.  I have learned no matter how good a deal, I do not get my monies worth from the huge 3+ oz bottles.  I stick to mini's or the smaller 1 oz or so sizes.

They need some better promo codes!

I used the living proof shampoo/conditioner/styling stuff promo again on my order today.  I picked up the Nars Unlawful blush, another FAB ultra repair tube, and the Bliss micro magic exfoliate stuff.

I wanted to buy the new YSL foundation, but my color is out of stock.

Still want two nail polishes, but I'm going to hold off until the fan friday is announced.

After collecting more than my fair share of bottles, I've come up with a new fragrance rule for myself. If I use up a vial or mini spray sample, I try to get a larger miniature splash bottle. If I use that up, I feel justified in buying the next size up (usually a rollerball or 50 mL size). Since instituting this rule, I have bought a couple rollerballs, but no full size fragrances yet.

I do wish that the Tory Burch lasted longer, but it seems to be a common problem among citrusy fragrances for me. It does last longer than Happy on me.

I usually try to use up a sample spray vial all the way to the bottom, because sometimes I hate a fragrance at first, but it grows on me. However, I got a sample of Nest White Sandalwood in a recent Sephora order, and that one got three chances before landing in the trash can. The dry down wasn't bad, but the top note smells exactly like that cheap pink hand soap on Amtrak trains and United(?) Airlines. I just couldn't do it.

My perfume collection is pretty small and most are minis, mini roller balls, or slightly larger spray vials/dabbers - the only full sizes I have are Gucci Flora and MJ Dot. On the topic of perfume turning though... Does anyone remember the Black Friday Tokyo Milk rollerball set? And that one scent in particular that smelled like cat pee? I was organizing my perfumes the other day and noticed that that particular perfume had turned YELLOW. I uncapped it out of curiosity and nearly puked, it was completely rancid. I had never even used it! Now I'm thinking that maybe they put out a bad batch of rollerballs for that scent in the first place considering how awful it smelled from the start and how it changed colour in less than a year...

Girl, I love it. Let's enable one another.

The only Nars color I really liked was Vanessa, and it was IMPOSSIBLE to find anywhere online... i finally located one. This is the color: http://www.temptalia.com/product/nars-cosmetics-audacious-lipstick/vanessa

I have a feeling it will be too light for my skin tone though, like I think it would look gorgeous on a medium skin tone. This is the TF color I wanted that was discontinued:  http://ifmakeupcouldtalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/IMG_2811-300x266.jpg I finally went with Pink Dusk. I might get Casablanca, too.

I remember this! LOL so gross! BTW, I do love Dot! I love MJ fragrances (well MJ everything to be honest) my only problem is that his fragrances smell very similar to one another... I have both Honey and Dot and they're SOO similar!

Speaking of fragrances also, I just got the Elizabeth + James Black perfume oil and I love it,

From your fingers to Sephora's website! I keep reusing the VIBLIP now because it's the only one I'm even vaguely interested in. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'll be excited for holiday promotions.
