I got a whole pile of lip products from sephora today- the give me more lip set, nars lip mini promo, and rouge birthday kit.
How is the nars gloss?  I wont get mine until Monday or Tuesday next week.  I know I like the color, but I am unsure if it'll be smooth or kind of streaky.  I do like their new formula though, so I'm hopeful it'll be awesome. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Sephora's been shipping at record speed lately. Shipping notice for the lipstick and Boscia set came Monday night and it was here this morning, and the Give Me Some Lip set shipped yesterday and will be here tomorrow. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> It's always been fast but it's been nearly overnight the past several orders!
That's because you're basically next door to their warehouse, if you're really in Nevada. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  Unless you order something only located at the Baltimore warehouse...

Yeah!  I already have a couple of the items, and same color different brand on another.. I get they do a theme of the same color family etc, but it is summer Sephora, put a little life into it!
yes, that's exactly what bothered me, that they were all the same color family.  I would have rather a bright red or purple color family.  Oh and speaking of brights, I got that NARS lipgloss (priscilla I think?) and it is GORGEOUS! The color is def on point, but the formula is also great, very pigmented and not at all patchy.  It's pretty long lasting as well

I'm so happy to hear that about the Nars gloss!  I love that bright hot pink color, and it was actually a suggested lip product for my skin tone on their little color iq chart they had at the lip/cheek class the other weekend.

I remember ages ago there was a lip gloss from Mary Kay like this Nars one.  Called Flamingo or something like that, super super bright.  I LOVED that gloss (and not so secretly enjoyed the fact that my mom hated it, lol, she hates bright colors), but the formula was soooo sticky and goopy.

What gets me about the lip sets, it is is almost always a set in this same color family, pinks/blush/berry.  The meet your match set was nice, it had purple, nude, coral.  It would be cool if they did more little sets like that with polish in it too.

Yep, I'm in NV. I think most of my shipments have come from SLC, but normally they take the full three days to reach me - past few orders its been 1&1/2 or 2... maybe to account for the heat?

Maybe?  I've noticed a few of my orders here and there getting to me down in Los Angeles from SLC warehouse in 2 days instead of the usual 3.  But it is usually 3.  I have noticed when I get orders coming from SLC via OnTrack shipping if they get down here faster than the allotted time they usually end up delivering it early.  Whereas with UPS, if it arrives early, 80% of the those times it ends up sitting there with tracking showing no updates or saying "not due for delivery".  That makes me irritated when it does that.

Hmm, I haven't checked if it is OnTrac or UPS... okay, just did it now and the shipment from today was OnTrac. Well whatever the reason, I hope it remains this was! I prefer online over stores because of the promos, but waiting on shipping can be a major bummer.

The Give Me Some Lip set is really really tempting me and I can pass on most lip sets.  I'm one that can't do much color on my lips and I prefer glosses.  So all the other pretty and colorful lipstick heavy sets that most people love, I don't give a second look.  (Which is good for my wallet)  I can see myself using all but the Bite crayon and although the Marc Jacobs gloss probably won't be my color, I'd like to try the formula.

Hmm I've been debating and I don't think I am going to go for this lip set.  It is so, so tempting but I already have so many products open that I would legitimately worry about having more product open than I could conceivably use before some of it would turn.  Yeah it's only $25 now but I could be throwing that (and potentially more) down the drain if I have to toss items before I finish them.

This never would have been a question before I discovered the low-buy support threads!

However, I am going on vacation next week and there will be a bunch of Sephoras in the city I will be staying in...if I see this in store I make no promises about my restraint.

I love it. Don't find it streaky at all. I love Nars' gloss formula personally.

I figured since I was getting the Nars one free with it, I was getting a pretty good deal and a decent mix of colors. I got light pink, nudeish, red, and hot pink. It is a seriously good deal. With the Nars it's worth around $100. I'm also a lippie addict (once I was stuck in the car while my hubby was under the hood looking at something and decided to pull out and take a photo of all the lip products in my purse.... I sent it to my mother and she was shocked... It was around 20, lol).

I'm also excited to try some of these formulas even if I don't like the color - such as the MJ.

Oh, the Givenchy prismes box is sold out at sephora.  That's what I get for hemming and hawing.  The fates have taken that decision out of my hand.  Now that it's out of stock, I want it even more!

I could use some expertise.  I ordered the Urban decay eye shadow Primer Potion (original) from Sephora.   I am not experienced with eye shadow primers so perhaps its user error.   When I apply it, it doesn't go on smooth and gets kind of crumbly or breaks down into flakes that I have to brush away. I am thinking maybe it doesn't agree with my moisturizer/eye serum I am putting on first.  Should I skip that?  I do let it dry first before applying the primer.  I can clear the flakes away and the application looks fine but, I am kind of down on the product but, don't want to be!

Any suggestions or thoughts on this primer?

Edited to add:  I found a few reviews on Sephora of gals experiencing the same thing.

Thank you!

I can't really say its noticeably doing great things for my eyelids.

I'm wondering if maybe you are putting too much on but it's hard to say.  I have been using this stuff for at least 7 years now and I've never once had it flake on me, so it's possible it is your eye serum.  Anyway, when I apply, I squeeze a tiny dab onto my pointer finger and use my finger to spread on my eyelid.  (I wash my hands prior to application to get any leftover hair styling product off first.) It is only a thin layer and it dries quickly, no flaking for me.

This is what I was gonna say too! It's an HG item for me. Maybe try not putting on your serum prior to using the UDPP? I think a thin layer over a dry eyelid is key.

Hmmm..maybe I am using too much.  I have heard great things about this product and the reviews are mostly stellar with a few getting that "Cakey" (one reviewer stated) thing happening.    Perhaps my eye is not dry enough too.  A few things to try.

@ and @@kaitlin1209 - Thank you!

If anyone was planning to drop into Sephora Times Square today or tomorrow for the custom Bite lipstick event....

My coworker and I just went. We didnt end up doing it because you actually don't get to customize the color. You have to pick from one of their pre-made colors, you get to choose the scent of it from 6 scents. You also get to pick if you want it matte, shiny or creamy.

For anybody who was in love with Escada's Cherries in the Air, it is now back at Sephora!  1 oz/$45, and currently in stock.

Ooo that's good to hear! The color looks so pretty and I love bright pinks but they can be hard to get right in glosses. Mine should come today or tomorrow with my lip kit, I can't wait to use it!
