In my experience (and extensive research) if you're serious about SPF protection it's best to use a SPF-specific product rather than a dual-purpose moisturizer/SPF, foundation/SPF, etc. I use moisturizer first and after ~3 minutes I put on sunscreen. There are a lot of great sunscreens that can function as a oil-controlling primer. They are typically from Asia and usually have a more liquidy texture than we're used to in the US. I am partial to
Biore UV Face Milk but I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin. Shiseido sunscreen is great as a primer and conveniently sold at Sephora considering that's the thread we're in.

If you're not actually relying on the moisturizer to protect your face from the sun, then a moisturizer/SPF could fit your needs! Just remember that SPF doesn't "stack" -- if you're wearing SPF 40 sunscreen and SPF 15 moisturizer, that isn't equal to SPF 55. Sorry this was longer than I intended and probably more than you were looking for.
