I've always wanted to try KVD eyeshadows so I bit the bullet on both of the new ones because...

The other previous palettes are $36 EACH and has 8 eyeshadows (0.05 oz each) + an eyeliner

The esperenza palette is $36 and has 8 eyeshadows (0.035 oz each)

The new ones (Chrysalis and Monarch) are $46 EACH and has 12 eyeshadows total (3 being 0.095oz + 9 being 0.049oz)

I also like the butterfly design on the palette + it's Chic Week.. so it's around $39. It's worth a shot to try KVD shadows out. In the end if, it doesn't work out then I can ALWAYS return it :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Plus, I would rather have more shadows then an eyeliner.
Please let me know what you think when you get them!  I am trying to convince myself I DO NOT need the Monarch one.  My eleventy billion other eye shadow palettes I have and the fact that it has a butterfly on it are the only things holding me back!  (I have an irritational fear of butterflies)

Butterflies terrify me, too! Yes, their wings are pretty, but there's an insect smack dab in the middle there. I do like the skulls in the wing pattern design, though.

Wow, you are the first person I have found that is also afraid of them!  Yes the middle is soo creepy!  Once I was driving down the free way and one got cuaght in my windshield wipers.  I tried to dislodge it but that big black body was stuck!  I had to pull over and ask some stranger to pull it off because I was so grossed out/scared!

I did not even notice that there were skulls in the wings off to look at those and I think I may venture to Sephora to see if they have them in person!  I have been good and not spent any money during Chic week (because I really need nothing) but I am so weak when it comes to eye palettes!  I lurve them!

I'm trying to decide if I want to use my 15% on the Stila In the Garden palette.  I have been hemming and hawing all weekend over whether to buy it or not.  I've found what I think are pretty close to dupes for almost all of the colors in those new Revlon singles that you can make into mini palettes and Revlon is bogo50 at Walgreens this week.

I've never owned a Stila shadow before; is the quality of the shadows similar to UD? Would I be better off getting the Revlon dupes?

The quality of this palette is far beyond revlon shadows. I've had the In the Garden and In the Light palettes for a while. The best shades in Stila are the lighter shimmery shades, these are buttery soft and gorgeous. The darker shades are still good, and really pigmented, but they need more effort to blend, just in my opinion the biggest reason to buy these palettes are if you love and will really use a lot of the lighter shades. I really like the In the Garden palette for all the beautiful greens tones. In my opinion shimmery shadows from the drugstore tend to be really poor, and they crease and look messy. Stila shadows stay put for a long time and look gorgeous all day.

This was exactly what I needed to know.  I really only use Urban Decay shadows and I was so disappointed the one time I bought a Tarte palette so I was nervous to spend the money on this.  I like a lot of drugstore items (mascara, lip products) but I'm really stuck on non-drugstore shadows. I'd rather spend the $30 something on Stila than waste $10 on Revlon and then end up buying the Stila anyway.  Thank you so much @tallison!

anyone having problems with their vib code?? I tried making a purchase tonight that included the Formula X starter set, which includes a nail polish of your choice. I have everything in my cart and it shows a credit of 10.50 (taking the price of one nail polish off) and then when i add my vib code for the 15% off it changes to $9.xx. Lame. So it tries making me pay for my free nail polish and hoping I wont notice. I think the customer service is closed for the night, but I'll call tomorrow morning and cross my fingers that I can still get everything in my cart.

I think there's an issue with that set when you try to buy it with a discount code. Someone posted the same problem a couple of months ago. Customer service should be able to help you out.

i have all 4 stila palettes, and while UD is still superior in quality, the stila shadows are still very good. i use 'in the know' and 'in the light' regularly. all four have very pigmented shades which blend nicely.

i'm not sure where else to post this, but does anyone know of a good MAC or UD dupe for NARS Fez eyeshadow? i've seen people compare it with MAC Mulch, but Mulch is a lot more brown. i'd appreciate any response! THANKS!!!!!

I think a few months ago it was said that online, they basically considered the free polish as a code.. So you have to choose the 15% or the free polish. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

ugh. the blonde dipbrow was sold out in the two stores I checked, as well as online. smh.
That was the one thing I wanted.. But it's all sold out here too. I finally bought it online from Ulta and accidentally ordered Blonde instead of chocolate.. And of course none of the Ulta stores have any of it in stock either to exchange it. So I ordered if from Nordstroms for free shipping and I should get it at the end of the week. The dipbrow better be worth it!!! Haha

thanks @jennm149 @kira685 @bluemustang I called customer service and they said they would place my order using the 15% off and then once I get my tracking I should call back and they will refund my cc the 10.50 for the nail polish :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

**a Monday funny**

So I received my package today that I used the 15% off code on. It was packed perfectly and all items were there.................. BUT there was quite an interesting addition to my order... Of all things, a wooden clothespin had been accidently packed with it. ROFL!!!
