I got that e-mail too. I checked on the Sephora site and it said I needed to spend $804 to maintain my Rouge status to 2015.
I'm guessing it's a weird glitch in the system because I haven't gotten any Rouge e-mails since that one for the radiant orchid lipstick (so I missed out on the Dior code).
This makes me feel better. I'm Rouge and haven't gotten any promotional emails since the Dior code. I get all the other Sephora emails (confirmations, rate this product, you left stuff in your basket, etc.) but NO promotional emails. I was starting to get really upset.
By the way, guys, it says I only need to spend $212 to qualify for Rouge again, and I just got credited for a LOT of returns. I have 4,000 points. It needs to stop.
As soon as I get all my boxes of "Your life sucks, feel better!" stuff, I'm going to eat another pint or two of Ben & Jerry's and try to concentrate on my health instead of stressing myself out more in the long run with these bills. (BTW, in case any of you were wondering, I had insurance before but had to supplement it. The meds I need to go on are about $14,000/month, so my spend-crazy trip in the last week or so wasn't going to make a difference on whether I got the medicines I need now or later anyway. Just wanted to throw that out there.)
@FormosaHoney girl, I'm so disgusted with myself for being this close to Rouge again already. I've been spending a lot more at Neiman and Nordstrom, too. Sigh.
I feel you on the
gift cards. I have about $300 worth of in-store credit for Sephora, but as (you, personally) know, I can't DO much with them. I wish Sephora didn't look down on trading these or selling at a discount (though I understand why they feel that way).because it's just sitting here burning a hole in my wallet. And none of my IRL friends are makeup addicts or Sephora shoppers, so I can't even use them as gifts!
I was going to ask my mom to go get me a perfume or two I've been wanting that won't show up at fragrancenet.com, and of COURSE they don't have any of them at Sephora. Vanetina, Vanetina Assoluto, Flowerbomb Extreme, and Jimmy Choo White Edition. They also didn't have the Flowerbomb home candle or Tocca candles in-store. Why, why, why, Sephora?
