they should be able to look up your customer account via your email address and then find it online...

I'm not VIB status yet...will my points expire the end of December? If so I want to make sure I use them before then.

And I think I know the answer but it's a calendar year for VIB not a rolling year right? So I will start over in January earning towards VIB? I hadn't shopped in Sephora in years until this month and I'm only at like 125 points so I'm not gonna make it this year but definitely will next year if that's how the program works. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks, I'll see if they are willing to do that.

give your store a call first and explain - see what info they will need...this time of year, it is awful to drive down there, find a spot to park and then wait in line, only to find out you may be missing something that they want.

Hi. I just want to say the nars disco inferno I bought to hit free shipping stays on for forever and a day with just a base no top coat. It looks very taupe on and not very opaque at 3 coats but I love it.

Gwp question: I have an unopened perfume that I'm not really loving after trying a vial sample for a few days. My sister liked the little gift that came with it so I said she can have it over Tgiving. Now I'm kicking myself. Does this mean I can't return, exchange for credit only (don't mind), can I pay for the gwp only, do I have to ask for it back (hearts may be broken)? I figure you seasoned shoppers would know. TIA!
And I hit VIB finally

Sephora usually insists that you keep your promo items (I've brought them back with me before, but the SA always tells me that they don't want it back). If you go in and they insist, just go to a different one.

Points don't expire at Sephora. At the end of the year, your spending resets, so you'll have to spend $350 next year to get to VIB.

Your points don't expire, so they will just roll over to next year.  Your dollars towards VIB *do* expire/reset at year-end.  Points do not necessarily equal how far from VIB/VIBR you are since they do occasionally have bonus point times, and VIB/VIBR levels are achieved strictly by dollars, not points.

BTW, Very interesting post that EVERYONE needs to read, especially Rouges: http://community.sephora.com/t5/VIB-ROUGE/UPDATE-POLICY-VIOLATION-CANCELLED-ORDERS-AND-BANNING/td-p/88045http://community.sephora.com/t5/VIB-ROUGE/UPDATE-POLICY-VIOLATION-CANCELLED-ORDERS-AND-BANNING/td-p/880459

Two  bits: "He proceeded to tell me that they lose money when customers place so many small orders. He said that they have to pay shipping out of pocket, pay for all the samples/perks we're getting and with such a small order of $10, I'm costing them money by having me as a customer. I asked him how I was supposed to know what I was doing wasn't allowed when it's not clearly written in their terms/policy and you know what he told me...... "well, you have to think of it in a business sense". What?! Seriously?! The customer is supposed to think of their purchases with the mindset "how can Sephora make the most money off of me?" You have got to be kidding me! I told him it was pretty ridiculous to expect customers to think that way. I also vented to him about the fact that their terms/conditions need to be clearly laid out of what we can and can't do. I told him it was unfair for people to get banned when they don't know what they're doing wrong. He pretty much agreed with me about that."

And: "The supervisor even said that this has become a wide spread problem they're having to deal with for Rouges"

Of course, he also told her that everyone is warned first before getting banned (which we know is untrue, according to EVERYONE this has happened to, so who knows.

I don't know. What he told her is absolutely the opposite of what I was told both on the phone and in email (remember, I screen capped it and showed it when I was cynical about this whole thing). I seriously think Sephora has no idea what they're doing and is having SERIOUS buyer's remorse over free shipping. Think of it this way: Before, a girl would have to use a promo code to have free shipping under $50. If she wanted to use another promo code to get a goody, she would have to spend $25, but then also the cost of shipping. Now, that girl, if she's Rouge or Flash, can place as many $25 orders and get her shipping free AND the promo code.

Like so many have said, they need to either work on their software so ALL promo codes can be used only once or place a $ amount per month or # or orders Rouge/Flash members can get for free (like, free shipping up to $200/month or, more realistically, 5 free-shipping orders) instead of blaming this on customers and saying we need to think in terms of SEPHORA'S needs when this is the ONLY perk Rouge members got!

Again, I am more than willing to move this convo into another thread, but I did think it was important that most of us saw that link.

Oh, also, if this is true, I really will be moving my business permanently to Nordstrom, where they have no problem giving free shipping to ALL orders (yes, even ones under $5) and also give you 3 samplers per beauty order, plus have the best return policy in the business. And you don't have to spend $1000 to get these sort of "perks."

I'm sorry, I'm just super bummed on Sephora right now. I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years, and, if you had asked me 3 months ago, I would have still said they were my favorite (even with the lack of "perks") and raved about their site and online CS.

All I have to say is Sephora really knows how to treat people who have spend literally thousands with them. Will I keep shopping with Sephora? Yes, they carry things I might not be able to get other places, I like the GWPs, birthday gifts, etc. Would I ever active try to achieve VIB or VIBR status? Hell no. I get better CS if I just place a random order every few months!

Aaaand the thread is deleted. Not suspicious in the least!
Niiiiiiiice. Now, I can't say i wouldn't have deleted it too, if I were sephora. Still, poopoo on you sephora (you're lucky you carry my hg eyeliner and foundation exclusively, btw...)

That's really bizarre!  I'm looking at it right now after refreshing the page.

Does this mean I'm banned too? *clutches pearls*

Nah, impossible.  I have no Flash, I am no Rouge. Probably just a glitch.

Ah, I think I see what's going on:  It's a topic specifically in the Rouge section.  It's not a glitch.  You just don't have access to that portion of the site.

no, you need the packing slip from the box.

otherwise you'd get store credit.

The thread is not deleted.    It's been there for days.   Same hyperbolic anecdotes with "the supervisor" said.   What I would love to see is one of the "victims" asking for a response in writing.   I am two undergrad degrees and one graduate degree in the sciences away from being capable of taking anecdotal hyperbole seriously or using it as evidence.

You have a very good point @FrostKitty  you'd think with all these claims there would be SOMEONE with an email containing similar responses.
