This is the message that popped up as i tried to reply to a question on beauty talk on sephora...

We're sorry, but you have been banned from using this site.
  • You have been banned for the following reason:

client is banned by fraud from shopping on sephora.com DR
I have only ever posted two answers in total on beauty talk.

I don't care about points and promos etc.......... I just don't like being accused just because I spent a lot of money at Sephora

Bye Sephora!!...You will not be missed.

I should never have spent my hard earn't money at your site ....

Wow...just wow. But don't fret you can still shop in store!

because obviously being banned with a nasty word like fraud from shopping online and posting on their forum isn't enough to insult you.

I'm so sorry!

Ohmygosh seriously?! I am so sorry that happened. If this continues they're likely to get into a lot of trouble

That is awful. I was mentioning this "ban" business to the Hubs. We started talking about Starbucks who seems to the benchmark on CS. They are more than happy to admit fault and make the experience better. It looks like Sephora could take a page from their playbook on customer experience and loyalty.

Am truely sorry PinkRoseBella that said corporation has become this strange juggernaut of obtuse logic that continues to heap strangeness all over you.

Next up for our amusement, this chatter on 'Suspense' code content:

The provided link leads to the 'pick-3'...

If I believe the Sephster I won't use the code, if I don't believe such, then there's a very un-informed social media engager, tapping at the keyboards.  Either way, the entire image just continues to slide further down...  for me that is.

OMG..........I'm speechless........ This is absolutely ridiculous!!!!! The last I heard, I am banned from shopping online, but I'm welcome to shop in store. Seriously, like I'd go shop in a store who treats me like a criminal!! I haven't tried to order anything since, but I wonder if I will get the same message if I buy or post something. If I get this message, II think I will cry..... You know what I'm doing? I'm taking all the items I bought that I can find the receipts to and I'm going to return EVERYTHING at Sephora and shop elsewhere!! I'm hearing LOTS of good things about Nordstrom and that's exactly where I'm taking my money!!! BTW, the last I checked, isn't America innocent until proven guilty???????????? Come girl....let me give you a hug.............

OMGosh.....

These stories are scaring me.  I don't dare post at the sephora community board anymore and my 2 orders are STILL NOT SHIPPED!!!  GRRRR.

Both of my orders shipped in crazy fast timing...especially considering Black Friday site traffic. It may be interesting to note that I only ever shop at Sephora 4-5 times a year maximum, however when I do finally place an order, they're certainly rather large. My sincere apologies to those being banned...my background is far removed from Business law, but I'd be very interested to hear the defense argument of anyone even remotely qualified..in my very limited knowledge of the subject, it seems to me that if Sephora continues on in this manner- whether palpable, or not , they could be looking at a class action lawsuit in their near future.

Unfortunately, that only exits in the court of law.  Sephora has every right to revoke the shopping privileges of anyone they have decided has violated their terms of service.  I actually think that that part is acceptable.  Any company should have the freedom to quickly take action to prevent fraud.  The problem is that Sephora's system is clearly banning people who aren't making fraudulent purchases, and they are going to lose a ton of money because of it.  I am disgusted that their is clearly a glitch in their fraud detection system, and instead of recognizing it and addressing the problem, they have been very curt and unhelpful.  How many people on this very forum talked about buying extra cinderella palettes when they came back in stock to resell?? That is an actual violation of the TOS, yet I haven't heard of any of those people being banned.

Hey sorry if this is not new information. I was checking if my vib status had updated (Im dangerously close to not getting vib this year) and I noticed for beauty insiders they have a new promo.

"25 days of MerryCrazyGiveaways" Basically stuff to use points on or to put with your order. Todays option for me was :

Aqua de parma a 100 point reward   and if you don't want to use points, a fresh soy face exfolient code MERRYMINI which is active with a $25.00 purchase.
Most likely its the same for everyone but spoiler tags just in case.

its got a cute 25 box flash promo where you click on the box to show the gift.

It is the same for everyone.  The set up for it is so cute!  Here is the link:

All of the cute graphic design they are using this year is making me extra bummed that they are being such jerks.  I want to go get all the gift boxes but I am so disappointed in their behavior and not excited about shopping their.  I am not really worried about being banned myself, as I don't make a ton of small orders, never place more than one order a day, and don't tend to stock up on the same items.  I just don't want to give them my money until they straighten this out.

Are all the banned ladies VIB-R? Maybe it's a trap...spend the money to get the status...no good incentives......raise a flag.....get banned?

That thing is awesome, but I doubt I could convince my husband that after getting the BF deal that I need that as well lol
